There was a several-day period, maybe 8 months ago, where there were no DC penalties. It was well known. I saw no uptick in DCs. "Every survivor" isn't a fair statement. I've never once DCed as survivor. It's either the sort of thing you'll do or not, regardless of penalty.

As it is now, you can just AFK under hook or run up to the killer to die, which is much worse for the match than having a bot. I'd rather have a bot that will do gens, heal, and unhook than someone who will suicide out or go rat in a corner. How are those things good for the game?

If people were able to freely DC, it would literally happen every match. I almost want BHVR to trial this for like 2 weeks so all the pro-DCers can see how miserable it will be. Killers would DC any match they aren’t dominating in, and every survivor would DC the instant they get downed the first time. I can’t even begin to understand why some people here think this would be a good thing for the game.

Did.…Did you just say gens take too long to do then say they need a 30s increase?

As i recall, some of the arguments were that they need to be able to engage with their chat and they can't if they're going against difficult opponents. Another was that they go easier on their opponents if they can tell they're not that good, and if they had opponents on their level then they'd have no choice but to go hard. So basically the feedback had nothing to do with the health of the game, just how it impacts them personally.

the fun part is that they will start to use full meta builds instead of comp builds, and even then they will lose to giga sweaty comp nurses/blights, even hidden gems will be shown(unknown good players).

Solution: engage with the chat and lose. Crazy to ask for easy matches so you can give it half your attention AND win.

Because most games have a meta? Killers will run what is effective. Can't expect them to use bad perks and weak killers to lose games all the time. That said I get the frustration, I'm sick of seeing vecnas with aura read builds, friends forever builds, and wraiths using the busted tbtc and serpent add on combo.

Fair point. Regardless, I don't think there's even a way for it to be saved at this point. One solution will still somehow create a problem. As you mentioned if they were to keep elusive and remove the unhook noftication then there may be an increase of camping.
