They will kill themselves on hook. Nothing is really fixed

PLEASE, where are you getting the info from? I already went to forum news and updates and nothing, I read about BL, the oni and stuff, but no real source

At least they give points
1 -
Honestly they should remove self-unhooking without a perk to make it succeed. Basically, you can't try unless you will succeed, which only happens via perks.
And make struggling automatic. No one likes the struggle mechanic.
When the hatch is visible on the map/gates are powered, they can choose to 'give up' in the struggle phase to help their teammates.
6 -
That's not a reason to allow DC'ing to go unpunished.
4 -
Atleast I won't lose BBQ stacks. That always trigger me.
16 -
When did I say that it was?
4 -
They'll dc and do something else while they wait. Or kill themselves on hook. Or just go afk.
1 -
Whats the punishment for a dc now? Read it but dont understand it.
0 -
Timeout from match making that increase with each DC.
3 -
It seemed that your statement "Nothing is really fixed" was an attempt to minimize the actions devs have funally taken to address this real problem.
Sure people can die in hook but it should help with the issue of people who DC immediately after seeing who the killer is or immediately after being downed early. Some of those people might decide they've invested enough energy to stay in the match by the time they are actually hooked instead of dropping out and ruining the match for everyone else.
2 -
Die on hook EZ lmao
In all seriousness killing yourself on first hook should have a penalty as well.

As I've said:

No more ability to hook-suicide just because someone does not like the Killer/Map/Perks/Got hooked first

At least the killer gets the points.
0 -
Hell no to the first one, but the latter yes please. Serious struggle is so stupid and on consoles whoever thought wiggling a stick was a good alternative needs to be sat down and forced to play mario party 2 with the controllers coming out of their wages.
8 -
hooking survivors should have a penalty
11 -
I rarely disconnect, I have probably disconnected 2 times, ever. So I'm very excited about this new penalty.
I'm just wondering... why is dying on the first hook so bad? Is it cause you miss potential extra points from that survivor? I mean if a survivor is frustrated (maybe with the killer maybe with their non helpful teammates) they shouldnt be forced to stay..
Do you guys also get upsed cause a survivor never got rescued and got through all 3 hook phases and you only got one hook and no chance of chasing him again? cause it's pretty much the same. Just wondering
4 -
Going through phases is fine.
1st hook suiciding is when a Survivor, acting like a child, kills themselves in 5 seconds by attempting to unhook, then opting to not struggle.
It's basically just disconnecting with a few extra steps.
4 -
What next? You want the game to do gens for you?
1 -
No, but I want arguments that actually make sense. What were you arguing about? Me wanting the struggle removed? It's stupid and ruins keyboards/controllers.
Making it automatic in no way makes the game easier.
9 -
So why going through phases is fine vs speeding the phases to die? It sounds like the only reason is disliked is because of emotional reasons.. "oh what a crybaby he didnt want to stay".. so .. that's it? I dont get it lol
1 -
Is there a reason why it specifies "early"
Hopefully early means at any point before dying/match ending
0 -
I DC against stuff like Mori, Iri Head, Tunneling/Camping and other broken stuff. Things like these make me not wanna play the game for a bit anyway so if i wanna get out of that game fast, i won't mind waiting until i get to play the next match. Besides that, players can bypass this by killing themselves on hook instead...
5 -
How would you do that?
0 -
Most likely kill themselfs on hook.
Personally I'm still going to dc on had no fun field as a killer even after BL nerf due how stupid that map is. I rather take the penalty and do something productive than waste my time on that map.
3 -
It is a bullshit because NOTHING WILL BE FIXED wtih this way. For me, I do not really DC but if I want to DC and there is a penalty for this, I can make noise and get killer's attention and kill myself on the hook, or go afk or DC and wait for my penalty to past while I am watching videos on youtube. Some killers put on slugging build which makes me bored and frustrated because waiting on the ground and bleeding out but waiting a lot. In this kind of matches, I go DC. My time is important for me and if I do not enjoy the game, I do not play. I am not playing for rank or bloodpoints. DC has already a penalty that does not allow you to get bloodpoints and minus pip. The new change is trash... Again I will kill myself and other will not be able to play. So no penalty.... They should not force people to play the game if they do not enjoy
5 -
And it is not a ban reason. Why not :) They just can not force people to play who does not wanna play. They just force people to ruin the game for everyone. This game is not like CS:GO or does not have a serious rank system. Lots of people play it to enjoy, so if they do not enjoy there is no meaning for them to stay and play. Instead of farming, disconnection of others is better for survivors who play the game seriously
1 -
I will just kill myself on hook or go AFK. Adding DC punishments is not the solution. Figure out WHY people are dcing first.
5 -
They go down first to an addonless ruinless Wraith.
5 -
No, sometimes the killer slugs or the killer is so try-hard(iridescent head with 3 hatches it is just an example. There exists these kind killers.) which kills my all pleasure of DBD. So I DC. I am playing to have a fun, not to ruin my time
2 -
That player got outplayed. There's your reason.
There are many reasons for people dcing:
- Survivors are not having fun against a killers specific build (Spirit as a whole, insta saw billy, Iri head huntress, etc)
- Survivors & Killers don't like the map they are playing (Hawkins for Survivor & Haddonfield for Killer)
- Emergencey phone call
- Someone in there family got hurt or whatever
The list literally goes on and on
Punishing people for not wanting to play one specific map or killer and other reasons just makes it worse. People will not on purpose throw games, go AFK, and kill themselves on first hook. What's going to stop me from doing any of those things?
3 -
Probably be less DC's, but probably won't actually feel like less, from where you're sitting.
The rage quitters will just do something else while the timer expires. They're bailing from the game because they salty at the killer, they're not going to give him free kills by afking or suiciding on hook. They need a minute to cool off, anyway.
What the devs really need to do it up those compensations when someone DC's and implement those Survivor Husks, so you don't even actually care if a salty sailor jumps ship.

Should count the same as a DC, your essentially ######### over your team and the killer from extra points just because you don't like the killer/map.
2 -
Killer has to waste time hitting you twice and placing you on a hook or deal with crow notifications all game. Thats more time to your teammates than straight up DCing. After several games like this either they suck it up a play or quit. Either way people who do want to play get teammates that want to as well.
1 -
Afking then dying on hook sounds like a great way to get reported and banned.
Please do that and ruin 4 other peoples games and assume players wont report you.

Nice , no input at all towards discussion at hand just a witty remark towards my constructive criticism.Gotta love people on this forum

Ye sure because everyone wants to stay in potato que and babysit
0 -
Nah it's not, especially when you solo queue and not in a 2 or 3 man SWF it completely ruins your chances at escaping and pipping because now you can't get hook saves for that player.
0 -
But it's ok for you to force an unenjoyable experience on the rest of the players in the match by DC'ing? Just another "my time is valuable" entitled survivor. Tsk tsk

Farm
1 -
Is it ok for killers to force an unenjoyable experience on survivors by playing spirit/using iridescent head/camping/tunneling/moris and more? Everyone cares about their own enjoyment in this game.
4 -
If you don't enjoy the game, then don't play it in the first place. Uninstall and look for a game better suited to your needs.
What's the point of DCing if you don't like the killer or map?
Try to learn, understand and adapt, that's part of the game and of the fun.
Just don't be a jerk.
10 -
I'd say same reason people disconnect on any game. Rage. That wont change, ever. No way to fix it, there's always gonna be someone that will get frustrated.
0 -
It's a much smaller leak. Survivors have more time before they leave and the killer doesn't miss out on points or stacks anymore...not to mention leaving for hatch or something.
2 -
I have lots of prestige 3 characters and I do not need BloodPoints and I do not play at higher ranks anymore. So -pip helps me. I mean nothing has changed.
There is not such a difference here. I mean 30 seconds. killer comes and hooks you because he will not even run. So 30 seconds. Not more than this. Then everything is over, that DC player is dead on hook. And 30 seconds, it does not mean anything...

Why do I have to play this game if I do not enjoy? Would everybody do this for me? I do no think so. So I do not care. The first times when I started to play dbd, I used to think like you. But then I searched on forums and read other's ideas and disconnecting reasons. It made sense to me.I have changed my mind and understood everything...
