I think the survivor ques are long because not many people playing killer.

I use Noed very, very rarely, almost never because I usually dont need it. Noed is probably the only reliable (Not even that reliable considering you can break the totems) second chance perk. (Low risk, high reward) Also NOED has a very simple counter, doing totems. Survivors have a lot of second chance perks, and theres no counter to them.

But this doesn’t support the “oppressed killer main” narrative so people will get upset by it

He is 100% right. Did you even pay attention to anything else in his comment besides that phrase?
1 -
The only reason you wouldn't have time to do it is because you refused to do it. If you have trouble finding totems, run Detective's Hunch.
1 -
Or people can just play the game long enough to memorize the locations. Thats why adding more spawn locations doesnt help hex perks. Best hex imo is devour hope. Cause they dont get a notification until it's too late.
1 -
That's a discussion you should post in the idea category. As for why they don't add one is beyond me. I would love to see a change in the HUD.
Even if you're solo you can't sit there and say "I can't do Generators AND Totems, it takes to much time etc." That's a strategy you need to come up with as a Solo player. It's been done countless times, and you still have options at your disposal that help you find and counter totems.

who the ######### enjoys playing like that though unless youre a scumbag.

People already think doing totems AND gens is too much apparently, so another objective would surely upset them.
0 -
Um...totems aren't the counter to NOED. Not only does it punish you severely if the killer doesn't have NOED, but it uses way more time than just keeping up dull totems that spawn in the open in an undefensible location to cleanse later if need be. I would love to see a totem counter though, just to make NOED more fair against solos.

So you're telling me there is another way to counter a Hex Totem other than taking the 15 seconds to cleanse it? I would love to hear it. It's a risk if the killer doesn't have NOED yes, but you get rewarded for it none the less and the ends justify the means. Just like as killer, you take the risk of a survivor having unbreakable, DS, Adrenaline, etc but if you take that risk it will save your ass at the end would it not?

I don't know anybody that would prefer wasting 70+ seconds of objective time over allowing the killer to access a perk they may or may not have. To put it in perspective, for Ruin it's 14+ seconds to remove something with certainty that your efforts have an impact. Of course cleansing NOED in end game is a perfectly good play, but cleansing every dull totem in sight is inefficient and an unnecessary gamble.

I get what you're saying, the amount of time to cleanse every totem is damn near as long as doing a generator. Investing that much time can be dangerous, but like I said as of right now it is the only counter to NOED. Breaking totems is the counter to every Hex perk, whether it be Ruin, DH, HL, anything. The only difference is NOED is an endgame Hex that needs to be forsought early-mid game.
It's a heavy gamble, yeah but not inefficient because its not like you were doing nothing the entire match. Say, you decided "He's not going to have NOED" and did zero totems, do you still have that right to be angry because you decided to not do a secondary objective?
0 -
I agree that doing bones is a way to counter NOED, but I stand by that it is inefficient. If you really don't want NOED to pop, you can risk your team by being inefficient and that's ok. But, if you want to know how to counter NOED whilst maintaining an efficient and competitive strategy the solution is a bit more nuanced.
About anger, I completely agree that you shouldn't complain about a perk if you make no effort to counter it.

So it's better to go the Vox populi route?
0 -
Soooooo you can't do totems then?
0 -
It's better to think and analyze things for yourself and form your own opinion instead of taking whetever the devs, or streamers, or anyone says as gospel just because they're in a position of "authority". It's fine to take what these people say into account to form your opinion, it's not fine to come here and say "hey guys X or Y is fine because the devs said so, suck it up".

One? Theres more than one

Otdz has said many times that the game is survivor sided. I can see why you have used one of his streams to bolster your point but you then go on to say killer takes no skill, which makes me wonder if you watch his streams at all.

Why can't we use other people's opinions just because that person has some different opinions than ours in other aspects of the game?
0 -
well actually his point was, that you dont need to put a lot of effort into playing killer. Just do the least amount of work (camp/tunnel) and the game rewards you as if you played really well. He didnt say that killers in general are OP, but why should you chase people and do mindgames, when the result is the same by doing the least amount of work.

"I'm going to do the least amount of effort. [... Nurse Streamer Story ...] What I'm trying to prove here, is that you can win by doing absolutely f'ing nothing."
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/599420540?t=0h24m32s
"But if anyone tells you that killer is impossible to play and even the best killers only get 1k or 2k, you show them this. Hopefully. We'll see. It's early in the experiment. This is the point. The point I'm trying to make, is that getting 4k means absolutely nothing. I've had games were I've played... well I'm not gonna say perfectly bc no one plays perfectly, but I've played very decently and I've struggled to get 1 f'ing kill."
1 -
This is a casual game, not a competitive game. Just because one extremely competitive, extremely good player does well with NOED does not make it over powered. It still stands the perk forces you to use 3 perks during the whole match, and is one of the weakest perks in the game.

Noed ebony and keys needs to go
0 -
There it is.
Proof that a camping Bubba with noed is broken, teams that rushed gens and cleansed totems as all of you keep saying here is the way to counter camping and he still got a 4k.
And this is before they nerf gen speeds.
Bubba/Noed needs a rework.

Ds First

XD You can't even come up with something original so you say counter DS.
Pathetic XD
0 -
Well that IS the counter to NOED so why would you pretend to be shocked when people point out a factual statement?
0 -
Exactly this. Otz is a good player but he literally just went in circles around the hook.
We’ve seen him play hard and only just beat them on the last gen after a lightning fast genrush and then we see him circling the hook and winning more comfortably. There is something wrong with that. The way that is more fair, fun and requires more skill should offer the greatest benefit.

I think that's something a lot of killer mains don't take into consideration. They're okay with it because they hate the survivor base SO MUCH that they want them to suffer, and they don't consider how it's unfair to other killers who actually put in effort to get fewer kills, despite a lower skill discrepency between survivors and killers. The animosity between the two sides is very unhealthy for the game.
1 -
They arent on the same level tho:
- Noed requires survivors cleansing all the totems before finishing all gens, or running around cleansing totems after all gens. They actively have to interact while buying enough time to do everything.
- DS literally requires the killer to not pick up a freshly unhooked survivor.
- Adrenaline isnt that good. It's only really good when you get off the hook or were downed right before. 9 out of 10 times, people who use adrenaline actually dont benefit from it at all, yet 9/10 times, you benefit from NOED, be it the speedboost alone.
