So what? Killers are just entitled to 4k? The EGC makes it so all the Killer has to do is run out the clock. They don't have to do anything but chase Survivors. You don't lose any points by having them be sacrificed by the Entity. The Survivors still have to go and unlock the Exit Gates during the Collapse, but they can't do that while being chased. And if it's just one Survivor, they're pretty much dead if they don't have the Hatch.
I'm morbidly curious about what you think a bad Survivor is. Is it how toxic they are? Is it based on how many Gens they do? How many of unhooks the do?

If you have problem with the hatch do what I do. If you have : 1 gen 3 survivors/ 2 genes 2 survivors/ 2 survivor 3+gens find them all and down them. Hook them all and then go to find the hatch. Don't go for the hook emidiatly. It always works for me

I personally don't care about loops. Toolboxes, however, were nerfed Hard and they're basically useless now, so there's a difference lol. But we can agree on your first sentence!

About being entilted for the 4k. You clearly don’t play killer against high level survivors or at all. Unlike survivors, killers won’t get a pip just by booting the videogame. Hell even 4k-s gives you a plack pip (draw) a lot while the survivors you killed got their rank up anyway. So why are you so entilted about your escape while you won at the time you did a few gens and unhooks, but the killer has to actually finish his job to be rewarded for it?

Yeah, I haven't played Killer against high level players. I don't like to go beyond being a rank 15 Killer because I don't like being competitive, I like having fun. And worrying about if I'm going to rank up isn't fun. This sounds more like a ranking issue for the game, rather than making it more difficult for Survivors to achieve their goal of escaping.
No Survivor is entitled to an escape, no Killer is entitled to a 4k. You have to work at it with what's available to you and if you don't escape or get a 4k? Oh well, go try again. Learn from your mistakes and try again.
The Hatch is necessary for Survivors to have a last chance of escaping, like the Mori's and NOED can be a Killer's last chance of getting a kill.

So you want hatch gone, but then want help from EGC to get your 4th kill? Interesting. Why should you be getting an assist? You want that last kill, do your job then and find them. That survivor has a right to continue playing and attempting gens. You didn’t kill them. If there’s no hatch, there’s no EGC. That’s how it goes. If that survivor stealths around (which they’d have to) and it takes you a half hour or longer to catch them...so be it. You should’ve done better at finding them faster.

I’m pretty sure he meant that the EGC should start automatically when there is only 1 survivor left AND it also means that the gates will be powered. So there is your chance to escape. Your life is in the hand of RNGJesus.

No. That’s still asking the game to spoon feed you the final kill. The survivor isn’t getting the gate open, the killer can get a head start towards the gate during the sacrifice animation, before the survivor can even begin to open it. That’s extremely killer sided and a gift kill that requires no effort. Why should the killer not have to earn it? Why is the survivor automatically just given a death sentence? Like I said, if they choose to they have every right to continue playing and attempting gens if they want. No hatch, no EGC. What he’s asking for is for the game to no longer give survivors a “free” escape, but instead the game should give him a free kill.

Well to be fair. You can agree that the last survivor just have a lil’ bit too much chance to escape after all other survivors are dead right? They could fix gate spawns to make them able to be opened if the survivor knows what he’s doing and the killer had a wrong guess. You can already do that with most gate spawns by powering it to the point that the firts light JUST didn’t turn on. And when you think the killer is left for the other gate you continue it and get it open. Sure it’s stressfull guess game for both players but that’s what makes it interesting and fair.
And if 3 survivors are already dead that’s pretty much the result of bad teamwork throughout the game. Babysitting the last potato is no better than sentencig him to death.

Its not. The killer has beat the team when 1 survivor is left. When one is left the EGC starts giving the last survivor a chance to get out the door. This chance is 50%. Half the time the doors will be far half the time they won't. At least with that the final survivor at least did something to escape after their team got beat.

So, does this mean the Killer has been beaten when four gens have been turned on? They just need one more gen, but they've already gotten four so why not just give it to the Survivors?
And, unless the Exit Gates spawn when the EGC starts, there is no way it's always one is far away and the other is close. They both could be far away in some maps.

Well if you look into it it’s already the case just not as stupid as you described it. If everyone lives and 5 gens are done the killer can still win it’s just unlikelly.

No that would be like 3 survivors run out the gate and when the last one is about to run out they get randomly sacrificed. The killer was beat, but because of a "mechanic" the survivor got robbed of an escape

I think this is where you are going wrong. There is absolutely no way the survivor has 50% chance of escaping. They don’t even have that NOW and that’s with being able to go through the hatch! The current EGC is killer sided (not complaining about that, just stating a fact). Now you want to remove the hatch and just make it gate only, which makes it even more killer sided. 50% shot? Not even close man, especially considering the strategy of hiding at a gate and getting a head start on it immediately upon killer closing the hatch is gone. Now it’s the killer who can head towards a gate during the period the survivor can’t do anything (second to last survivors death animation). It is a gift kill. At the very least, the timer sure as hell should be a lot more than 2 minutes as that’s completely unfair. I just think if you are against hatch, you shouldn’t be asking for a game mechanic to help you kill the last guy quickly either.

That is literally the Endgame Collapse. I have seen lots of people, myself included, get literally inches from the Exit Gate and then the timer runs out and are sacrificed.

But you did earn it, you found the hatch first. You need to get rid of this mindset that if you earned one thing in this game, the following events afterwards should be guaranteed.
If you found a survivor, good on you.
you mindgamed and got a hit.
The survivor was decent and you lost 2 gens during chase but you got a hook.
both of you earned something out of the interaction, you both got points and earned time. Despite you earning the hook, the survivor earned objectives for the team, however it doesnt mean they deserve to escape, and it doesnt mean you deserve the kill.
Same goes for hatch, if you did extremely well all game it doesnt mean the survivor gets no chance of redemption to escape. However finding hatch is kind of like an easter egg hunt for the most part, alot of luck is involved if none of you had seen the closed hatch before it spawned. Once you close the hatch the survivor is basically dead, and only has a very slim chance of escaping if they guess again, but at this point the game is heavily in your favor.

But shouldn't it be in my favour? I mean it's safe to say I won if the others are dead there's 4 gens left and the last survivor is as good as dead. A survivor could easily camp a far door once the last survivor is hooked. If they made the EGC start when hooked instead of dead the last survivor could have a descent chance of escaping and at least they just didn't randomly find hatch before me and escape certain death

when its down to the last survivor it's already in your favor, You can march around the map freely, the survivor has to stealth and respect your presence, so you have an advantage when looking for hatch.
Making EGC start the moment the 3rd survivor is put on death hook only adds more stress on the survivor which isn't needed. If hatch was so busted then the 4th survivor should die with the 3rd, nobody wants to sit around and wait to die, that's the purpose of hatch.
EGC starting when the hatch is closed forces the survivor to take a 50/50 guess of which gate to go to. If they choose the right one, they escape, if not they die. I'm sorry but I really believe hatch is gonna stay, it's only fair for it to be there, especially with how solo queue is.

Seriously? My idea just removes the whole hatch part and cuts to the doors. You literally just said the doors are a 50 50 chance. Also THE SURVIVOR SHOULD BE STRESSED. The killer is the one who's stressed thinking if the survivor knows where the hatch is. If they'll find it first. If the survivor has a key and finally if the doors are too far apart to patrol

nope just because you killed the other 3 your not deserved the 4th kill,you can slug for the 4th but how the game is 2 escape 2 dead is good game on both sides and you killed 3 you won. the chance to kill the 4th alway there but your not meant to get it every time god be happy for the 3 kills.

It's when killers slug for long periods of time, thinking they can make it snowball, when in reality they can't so you just die very slowly.
Generally no survivor in history has unironically complained about being slugged for the 4k, you need to chill out bruh.
if you kill 1 survivor you lost
if you kill 2 survivors it's a tie
if you killed 3+ that's a win.
You aren't entitled to the 4k, whether you played good or bad, that's the beauty of this game.

The amount of death threats I get for slugging at any time is countless. ALSO I MAIN ONI so I know a thing or two about slugging

oook i play 50/50 i know how it is i get slug alot don't work for me tho they always get back up i don't need the 4k to feel like i won.it when i get 1k or 0k when i get pissed.also when getting bully by toxic survivors.

The Endgame collapse in general is unfair. This game leaves no room for mistakes and its impossible to leave after the hatch is closed even if you are better then the killer. I think there are too many killer mains on this forum. We got worse problems dev Team gotta fix, like Hitboxes, Perks like Noed Devour Hope. This game got more and more unfair and killer sided its nearly impossible to win solo games.

Yes but finding them isnt as easy as you may describe it now (+Haunted Grounds). I am red ranks so am I very aware that you gotta do totems. I just believe the way exposed is currently working is way too easy. They also let the killer locate your position. Just think about the comparison to the decisive rework ( Get hooked - get unhooked - get downed and picked up within a time limit - TRY TO HIT THE SKILL CHECK AND PREY TO GOD) that´s a whole sh**load that gotta happen for a perk not to be useless all game.

Yeah because killers totally have a built in mori every match by game mechanics. Honestly trying to compare a once in a while offering to a mechanic that is in literally every match is a little ridiculous, much less an "equivalent" lol. I guess we should make the hatch an offering instead.

Devs want to give that 1 Survivor have many chance to escape, just as horror movies you watched. Many Killers dont mind 1 escape through the hatch while having 3K.
Though I dont like you have 3K when 5 Gen still stand, in that case, you totally dominate Survivors, should be deserved to have the 4K.
Another hatch escape I hatch is when 1 died, other 3 can escape through hatch at 1 Gen. Thats cheap.

Add a cast time on it like opening gates (for keys only) and it'll be more balanced. No need to remove it entirely. If you are losing the 4th to hatch, just slug one and find the last.

A) Demise is very easily countered by manually dropping the item
