It's not though. You know when the killer is going to swing, so you aren't doing it randomly.
Making yourself harder to hit is still just that. Not a dodge. It's still completely up to the Slinger if he hits you or not.

Anyway, I personally wanted a pirate skin for him, I know that wouldn't make too sense with the rough and tough cowboy, but holy hell haha, I love the concept and I think.... he's the only killer who's power is his weapon so he can have a skin for it. Can you imagine a little cannon or something along the lines

And you know you find yourself in a very open area and he's gonna shoot soon. So you have to duck and weave to make yourself an incredibly difficult target to hit.
And it's not 100% up to the Deathslinger if manages to hit you or not. If you make yourself a harder target to hit he'll miss and spend time reloading. You're constantly putting the range user in a constant state of doubt whether or not you'll hit. You're effectively dodging by implementing sharp moments into your escape so you won't die. I had times where I aimed down exactly where they were and since they were moving sporadically, they quickly ran left last second. That turns it in to a dodge.
And finally yes. 360s before they became a well know and actively used tradition in Dead By Daylight was a random thing that happened by chance and it worked.
But, you know.. there's a term for dodging gunshots in video games by moving left and right incredibly fast and alternating if needed to is "Zig-Zagging." It's stupid. But a lot of shooters deal with this, especially snipers. The ones who fire one shot and in most games, will kill. Dbd is no exception now.

It is up to him. He can just fake his gun until he's close enough to hit you. He doesn't need to use his power to get value, nor to be uncounterable. If you EVER miss as Slinger, it's on you.
And yes, 360s are a random movement. But they have a set time to do them as well. You don't have a set time to dodge Slinger because you never know when he'll shoot, while you will know when a killer is within lunge distance.

I'm getting a lot of inconsistent answers from this. Let's just agree to disagree.

That's fine by me

By the way, I do wish to reiterate that I found this more of a debate, not an argument. I hope that makes sense

I see. I use the terms in a synonymous manner, as in they mean practically the same thing. It makes sense.

I know what synonymous is haha, I can understand having different opinions. You and I definitely do, but if I put on the impression that this was more arguable I'm sincerely apologize. For me it's been pretty easy to deal with Deathslinger, but I have no idea what it's like on your end

Well, I play on console, so latency is naturally worse than PC. If a Slinger quickscopes me, I am speared before I see him raise the gun.
And it's alright. I love getting into debates like this. It's why I joined the forums in the first place:)

Oh you play console too? Awesome! Yeah, same here, I'm trying to drop more of my emotional argumentative side and adopt a more logical debatable side. I hate arguments, I love debates
