Survivors Are Leaving The Game
Survivor mains are starting to leave the game. This is because of the all strong killers and strong meta perks out there like Corrupt Intervention, Ruin + Undying, Tinkerer, Discordance, Bamboozle, Pop Goes The Weasel and more.
As for the killers people leave the game because of Blight, Nurse, Spirit, Huntress, Deathslinger and Hag ( basically all strong and unfair killers).
You can counter survivor meta EXTREMELY EASY. For example:
Borrowed Time; Go for the unhooker
Decisive Strike; Dont tunnel
Unbreakable; Dont Slug
Dead Hard; Bait it.
Killer meta perks on the other hand are harder to counter.
You cant counter Tinkerer, you cant counter Pop Goes The Weasel, you can counter Ruin + Undying but it takes so much time. You can counter NOED but it takes so much time, you cant counter bamboozle.
As you can see there are a lot of survivor perks that can be countered so easily. but you cant counter most of the killer perks. Survivors are running out of resources and some survivor perks are nerfed already (Decisive Strike, Borrowed time etc.) These are the reasons why survivors are starting to leave the game. And honestly, I hope they focus on the survivors instead of the killers. Because killer perks are starting to get strong and killers are becoming so unfun and boring to play against (Especially Deathslinger). So yeah i hope they do something about this.

this game is far from being survivor sided. A killer with barin can dominate the game. Look at all these killer perks out there most of them dont even have a counter. but you can counter survivor perks so easily if you just play fair.

Idk where your playing at but those times are not accurate for me. Survivor 30 seconds or less, killer 20 minutes. I'm east coast and only play between the hours of 5pm - 11pm and it's been like this for idk roughly 2 weeks maybe 3. Oh I know maybe it's because the game is broke? It's broke for killer too but you need less killers then survivors.

Its super fast for survivor and takes several minutes for killer game for me now.
However this is only since RE chapter release, before it was the other way around so I think its because too many people are trying out Nemesis.
Were those queue times of yours same before chapter?

There are a lot less killers than there are survivors in this game. Why? Because killers have a more stressful role, they have to sweat more to win a match.
Survivors leave because they can't keep getting away with their shenanigans and the way you worded your post it sounded more like salt 'forcing' them off the game rather than anything else because people are starting to get wise to their tricks.
Killers have not had the power role for a while and still don't.

I was streaming already and killer ques were seconds to minutes then I switched to survivor it was taking too long to even try so I gave up.

Survivors would hate this because it'd reward killers who did exactly that and they'd quickly discover that they are in fact not very good and Killers haven't been tunneling and camping as hard as they'd believed. Same reason they don't run DS anymore; now that it actually functions more like an anti-tunnel perk instead of a minute of invincibility they want nothing to do with it. Same thing happens any time Survivors get what they want and realize that it was their lack of skill that was screwing them all along.
Proof: Vacuum pallets, dedicated servers. Survivors cried for dedicated servers for years swearing it would fix 'unfair hits' due to the Killer being game host. It didn't; it just showed how unskilled the majority of them truly are because they still get tagged going through windows when they (frequently) overestimate their skill or get groody at a pallet or loop. Same with vacuum pallets; when they couldn't teleport to the other side of pallets suddenly they started hitting the dirt a lot more often.

huntress is unfair because her hatchet hitbox is bs, blight is unfair because his mobility is insanely high, hag is unfair because you cant detect her traps easily.

I mean, OP isn't wrong about recent killers being pretty boring. I feel like every killer since Slinger sans Twins is just sort of the same thing.
That's why I'm being driven away from the game. Disappointing new content.

Im on east coast, i play between 530pm and 12am most days. Takes 30 seconds for me to find a game, 2 mins tops as killer. When mmr started things slowed down as it used to be instant, but that was mmr. Its stayed the same ever since

I think escaping at all should be difficult, and staying in the game longer should be rewarded with tons more BP. Make escaping hard and celebration-worthy. It's Dead by Daylight, after all.
Basically:
Survivor win condition: Escape
Killer win condition: Kill all Survivors
Then you rework some mechanics so survivors have more time to conduct chases with Killers while Killers have more time to chase because objective times are slowed down. That however requires gens to be more fun or survivors to suck it up and accept longer gen times.

I have to say that I don't agree with you on this..
IF the game is dying it is because of 2 things:
- The game being basically the same for 5 years -> older players get tired and play less
- The grind insanely huge -> newer players can't be arsed to even start
The game itself I feel is pretty balanced, or at least as balanced as it can get from where it started. The killers getting buffed are killers that needed buffs. There are still some killers that needs a buff/nerf or rework (Looking at you Spirit (nerf)). The only people that falls out of it are the SoloQ survivors.

I don't know where and when you play, but in my europen timezone, you always have to wait quite a bit to play killer, while survivors is pretty much always instant.

I got my rank 1 killer achievement a long time ago. So i do play killer. But i still think there are a lot of unfun killers in the meta right now.

Sounds like most are having the same que times as me. Even 2 minutes is long considering what killer was before RE. However that's good that it's not effecting the whole player base just some/most. Between games I have enough time to get a drink, take a piss, see what the fam up too, and smoke before I'm in a game so congrats on that.

Depends on the time of day and region. Midwestern USA guy here. My queues are instant as survivor in the AM. Killer queues are about 5 minutes or so. Reverse it in the PM. Maybe if you're in a 3 or 4 stack swiff it's longer but as a solo or part of a duo it never takes anywhere close to 20 minutes.

I though survivors wanted me not to slug, tunnel and so on...
You can in fact counter Tinkerer. The Killer is not invisible, he just just stealthy. You can counter Pop: Run away from Generators that are being worked on (also, how much does Pop rest the game? Do the math...). Also Killer perks are not getting stronger and stronger. Have you seen Nemesis Perks? Compare them to Hag.

I don't. As far as I can tell its pretty much always been like that, unless you play at peak traffic hours on the weekend. Killer queue always have been long in my region, especially around the release of a new chapter.
There are many factors to queue time and your or my personnal experiences don't really mean anything as far as the health of the game is concerned.

Tinkerer: do the gen to about 75% then leave the gen and hide, wait for him to come over, look for you and leave, resume gen. Unless he kicks it with pop its not going back below 70. Youll be fine.
Pop is countered by doubeling up on gens. Even triple up. Stop gen tapping too. I cant tell you how many times ive been able to double pop a gen because some smart ass gen tapped the gen and i downed and hooked his buddy 2 secs later.
If youre getting a lot of hex perk games, run small game + inner strength. Learn where the totems usually spawn. When you first get into the game, check the immediate area before getting on a gen. EVERY GAME someone spawns with in 10 feet of my ruin when i run it. They dont always see it, but its stupid rare for it to be in a good spot away from everyone.
Bamboozle should only work on you once. Once you know the killer has it, you know to vault the window and move to the next tile
Blight you counter by using his turn radius against him. Huntress you break los and juke the hatchets, nurse break los and juke the blinks. As much as people talk about how few great swfs tgere are, theres even less god tier killers. ALL KILLERS are countered by splitting up and working different gens and avoiding the 3 gen. You dont even need comms for that.
When you get good at this game (because clearly your kinda new) youll see you can usually run most decent killers for around 45 seconds. As long as survivors are working gens, thats 3 different gens that are beyond half way. 3 different survivors working a killer at 45 secs each with him needing to find people in between means its gg ez bebe killer. The survivors i play against usually run into troible because they get cocky when theyre up 3 gens and ive only gotten 1 or 2 hooks. Or they allowed me to keep my 3 gen. The most fun games are when were fighting iver the 3 gen and only 1 or 2 gens have been completed (meaning both sides are actually using strategy).
If survivors are leaving its because the mdta on both sides has become kind of stale, Not because the games to hard for survivors

He's not wrong about Huntress' hitbox for her hatchets being absolute bullshit. The devs themselves are aware of this because they tried to change it once.

You can't run around labelling everyone who doesn't agree with you a killer main. If you want a serious conversation you have to listen to the arguments of the opposite side and use your own arguments against that. Simply accusing everyone who disagrees with you of being a killer main is not a good argument

My unpopular opinion but maybe you will understand me.
I played several games against Myers and Hag using Devour Hope. Ironically coldwind farm was chosen where totems are a pain to find there. Being exposed permanently until cleansing is ridiculous.
Sometimes i play with killers with the most annoying perks, i still remember that Hag using a perk / add on where we can't see survivors on the ground and on the hook. it was a pain.
I'm waiting to hear more about the boon totem. survivors can't rely on meta perks or rare items all the time.
