Fixing matchmaking is hard, adding penalty is easy.

Example: Why don't you just fix your cat so it doesn't knock over things?

Bad analogy. Fixing matchmaking is actually pretty easy to fix especially since all they need to do is remove SBMM/MMR and just match players based on distance from each other, in game level (not even being used for anything other than obtaining shards every level), and survivor/killer level. It's simple programming. I also don't penalize my cat for doing stupid stuff. It's a cat. So should I turn my phone off so nobody can call me in case of an emergency? Or put up a sign outside my door every time I want to play just to keep people away? Like I said, people leave the lobbies for all sorts of reasons. Just get rid of the hidden MMR/SBMM system that's pretty pointless anyways, use simple matchmaking code and it would be good to go. Not hard at all. This is coming from someone who has IT experience.

Wow so smart... Fixing your cat is also easy, just remove your cat and watch cat pictures and videos on the internet. This is coming from someone with a cat and IT background.

Wow, thank you for being so rude. And sorry you don't see how easy it is to just fix match-making. Not all of us can look at things from different perspectives and be open minded about alternatives. Oh, and don't expect them to penalize anyone leaving a lobby anytime soon. The backlash will be brutal. ๐Ÿ˜

Sorry, I was in a bad mood after reading all the unconstructive comments about why NO.

It's fine. I wasn't trying to personally attack you in any way. I was honestly trying to be silly because of the negativity here. I guess it came across wrong, so I apologize. I just think the backlash in itself is going to be more difficult to deal with. It's also like trying to detect if someone disconnects verses unplugging their modem (which people actually do) when they decide to d/c. The penalty for d/cing is fine right now as it is, and the same should be for those who leave a lobby. And I'd rather someone leave the lobby rather than in the middle of the game. Just my thoughts anyways. I hope you feel better and don't let those bullies get you down. ๐Ÿ˜Š

What then of the people who are dodging specific players who are always toxic c*nt survivors?

I'm not eating a penalty for the sake of my mental health.

Yeah no, the 4 Nea's in bright cosmetics and similar names all bringing flashlights and map offerings can play against someone else.

    No.

Why? I just don't want to play vs 2 people who have 7k+ hrs in this game who teamed up with 2 new players to get a lower MMR.....

I've seen it. I have been used for this myself (3.5 years ago). I vsed it. I don't need it.

So why don't you tunnel the low MMR players out?

What do you do if their profile is private? Or they are not on Steam? Do you also dodge, because what if .......? :D

    1. I hate tunneling.

    2. Then I have to live with it. But then I don't know either. I had killers dodge the lobby because of my 4.5k (most on survivor) hrs and I don't care.

    3. I dodge when they have suspicious names or profiles (e.g. Claudette_Morel_01, some numbers, when they only got one game etc.) and when I'm not in the mood to VS a clicky-clicky-squad.

I do not want to get punished especially because of the 3. reason's first group. I don't want to get forced to play with potential hackers or suffer a minutes long penalty.

This is still terrible killers leave for every random reason... Then of course we will end up only with a sweatier killer usually.

Instill think there should be a lobby dodge penalty until matchmaking is not fixed for this.
