Does Pinhead's power relate to his lore? If not, how does it have a place in a PvP game?

Uh, some mechanics need a few more time put into them to be understood, like Pinhead's teleport.
Teleporting to the box is usually a waste of time and loses your pressure, but you don't know that because you've never played him, and don't know how to play against him.
Skill issue

A more lore-accurate Amanda would have survivors with shotgun necklaces that will explode when the games are over. To add, canon Sadako can just ######### up everyone and is an antichrist.
A lore-accurate Pinhead would ######### every survivor up. Very low chances of survival against that man

I play Deathslinger and Huntress on PS4, it's not a skill issue. And teleporting to the box is not skill-related, it's just game management. And the Tinkerer notification never goes away.

but why say that i dont want to learn how to counter a killer when i can just complain about every aspect of their power even if it contradicts my points?
2 -
I, also, play killer. Deathslinger doesn't get the free Tinkerer that gives him the free map mobility that gives him the free chase. He doesn't get the free infinite stall that comes with chain hunt, for shame.
0 -
He has the highest kill rate. Survivors are already not getting through the exit gate.
0 -
I understand how his power works. I want to understand why a killer gets carried by a passive power in a PVP game.
0 -
I'm saying that complaining about Pinhead is a skill issue, beating him isn't hard, even in SoloQ.
Who cares if the notification never goes away?
His teleport is useless, borderline detrimental. If you have trouble beating Pinhead, ask for tips instead of asking if he's "lore accurate" and that "he needs a rework" because he has "the highest kill rate"

You have zero evidence to support your claims.
5 -
My hours on Fortnite prior to crossplay and after crossplay say otherwise.
1 -
What do your hours on a third-person BR have to do with the asymmetrical 1v4 "Super Smash Brothers Of Horror"?
9 -
I mean, Pig had one of the highest kill rates in the game, but most people were smart enough to know that Pig was not a strong Killer. Just sayin'. :P
1 -
Ummm...Your bogus claims were about Nurse?
You literally have no way to identify if any soul in the entire universe is playing Nurse more than a single game on Switch.
The reality is if if she was only losing games at the lower end of the bell curve her killrate would be absurdly high. We know this by understanding that there are thousands of games being played a day - the people on switch and console, if you are accurate, would have to be willingly losing over and over on a sub-optomized killer for their console.
And we have evidence on her killrate, provided by BHVR. So we know that to not be true.

Having actually played Pinhead, I think I would rather play Nurse, and I suck at Nurse.
His chain mechanic basically uses Nurses mechanics, but then you also have to aim the chain again after your spawn it, it's a very cumbersome mechanic that is not easy to learn. Honestly if he didn't have the Box as well he'd almost be Nurse levels of difficult, with only his movement speed serving as a crutch.
As for the Box it's very hit and miss, and is entirely down to the survivors. But I get it. Whenever I play against Pinhead, nobody goes for the box, it always has to be me. But when I play AS Pinhead, the box always seems to be solved right when I'm picking someone up. Funny that.
And yes, his power is probably one of the most faithful of all the licensed killers, besides Bubba of course because how much closer do you get to 'unstoppable chainsaw attack'?
3 -
Tinkerer? What he gets is basically Killer Instinct, which is not the same mechanic as Tinkerer.
Do you play killer at all?
10 -
My mans over here complaining about Pinhead, one of the killers with the most counterplay in the game, who doesnt even get anything for most of his skillshots, and whose super ultra oppressive passive can be easily prevented by a single survivor out of four knowing what they're doing. Sounds like you need to learn how to be that one.
He even breaks his own chains
7 -
Yeah Pinhead makes hooked chains come out of nowhere and rips people apart. He's basically a demon and the box summons him. Once someone summons him he pretty much destroys them. The hooks in the game actually do reflect his lore.

If you want meaningful numbers on her kill rate, differentiate between input, platform, and hours played as her. I'm responding to claims that she has the lowest kill rate. That's meaningless. If you want to know her true potential, differentiate between these meaningful differences.

You are thinking too much into this. This is just a game with some lore wrapped around it.

Fortnite is always skill-based. Even if you get sh^t on by a PC MKB player that spends four hours a day on Creative. With Pinhead, I may die because of his built-in Tinkerer, or his built-in 90sgenPentimentoFullThana slowdown chain hunt, or the fact that there isn't time to do gens, box, heals, chases, totems, etc. There are talented Pinhead mains, but the majority of matches come down to survivors not having enough time to juggle all things required of them.

He's a newbie stomper. A lot of new players get destroyed by him which boosts said kill rate. How are Nurse's rates looking?
4 -
He's trash but he has the highest kill rate in the game. According to the latest official statistics.
0 -
Everybody's noob them considering he has the highest kill rate in the game. Nurse is suboptimal on Switch, new gen, controller, and last gen. She has a high skill floor and there isn't a bot mode to practice with her. This explains her kill rate.
0 -
It's still a PvP game. Pinhead asks the solo survivor to be a NPC in a singleplayer power-tripping fantasy.
0 -
Deathslinger and Huntress on PS4. I don't get Infinite Tinkerer. I don't get Infinite Stall.
0 -
Don't need to play him skillfully to 4k. He has the highest kill rate in the game.
0 -
cool, now apply that same burden of evidence on yourself instead of just saying he has the highest killrate in the game. You do know that the default bindings on controller make dealing with his chains near interactables nearly guaranteed to get hit, right? The button for removing chains is doublemapped to the one used for vaults/pallets/etc. If you ever see a survivor slowvault into pinheads face then 100% they're on pad. Do you not think something like that would affect his performance statistics?
1 -
You keep parroting an outdated statistic and talking about how other statistics don't matter due to nuance. If you refuse to be reasonable then why make a topic?
5 -
Give another statistic, then. There have been statistics that show Pig has a high kill rate. I don't think she's busted, but she does have one thing in common with Pinhead. It's a built-in slowdown. Add 90s gens to built-in slowdown, especially Pinhead's, and there's a clue as to why I think he's really broken.
0 -
I know what I'm doing against him. Doesn't help when there is a hooked survivor, one going for the hook, one in chase, one going for the box, and four gens to be done.
0 -
You're also not factoring in the fact that Pinhead is a relatively recent killer, a licensed one at that (so no Iridescent Shards), which means you have to buy him with real money.
He has a high kill rate because those who buy him generally want to play him and they learn to play him well.
Unlike Nurse, who is free, and everyone thinks they can give her a go and be a savage god killer until their dream shatters on the floor.
So yes he has a high kill rate, but he also has an incredibly low pick rate. Nobody actually plays him. If more people played him, he'd have a much lower kill rate.
3 -
They purposely don't release statistics because people like yourself misrepresent them every chance they get. Its why we only ever get them from occasional developer streams, and they always tell us to take them with a grain of salt. At this point i'm convinced they don't even disseminate the information correctly and skip variables themselves.
You are welcome to think he is broken. Despite my remark earlier, you are completely allowed to think he is the most op killer in the universe. Other people know better though, and have more experience to formulate their opinion with. Playing a killer is 10000% the best way to learn how to counter them, just like how killers who are good at survivor can often predict their movement. Pinhead in particular was designed very safe, and has a tremendous amount of counterplay options.
For all the memery, my point was to learn the matchup, just like ever other killer. As long as a single survivor understands how to best handle the box mechanic, he should pretty much never get his chain hunt off unless he finds the box himself.
3 -
Then learn to be more efficient, the counter to literally every killer in the game :)
1 -
Highest kill rate is highest kill rate. It's not misrepresentation. It's because of his passive power.
0 -
It's math. Not enough time to do everything against him.
0 -
RNG NEVER works out math wise....besides Pin Head has the highest Kill Rate because most survivors don't go for the box and let chain hunts happen. Most games with Pin Head I'm the one running for the box and doing it, he's not that hard to deal with and definitely not OP.

What perks do use as survivor?
0 -
Pinhead gives tinkerer for gens now? The free map "mobility" that is purely where the survivor wants to bring pinhead? The free chase that could be a tp into shack or a strong main building? The "free infinite stall" that survivors have control over? Your imagination is something I'll give you that.

Also any collab is possible in fortnite lore.

It's a multiverse.

Highest kill rate, friend.

As far as the question concerning the relation of his ability to the character, my instant assumption is that you haven't taken the time to watch the Hellraiser films. That's not a jab, either; I don't really think the movies themselves are all that good (even the first one is bumpy).
As for questioning it's place in a PvP game, you sort of have to differentiate Dead By Daylight from a lot of other "pvp" experiences. In other experiences, you are, for the most part, given the same goal and at least similar ways to attain that goal. In Dead By Daylight, the goals of each side within a game are entirely different, merely related. On top of that, the things that one side is doing (in this case, generators and looping) is entirely different from the other side (using their ability to kill the survivors).
I personally find Pinhead's ability to be overall really balanced in terms of the chase and the map control he gets with it. Most of the time, when talking about Killers, the imbalance comes from the add-ons a killer can put on their ability not the ability itself. A few examples include Pre-Overheat Billy, Blight, Nurse (who is still pretty strong regardless), and as I'm mentioning here, Cenobite.

CoH, Lithe, ShadowStep, and 4th is ever changing

He gets played a lot more in low mmr because higher mmr players usually prefer more viable killers like Spirit, Nurse and Blight. Since he's mainly played in low mmr, this means he goes up against a lot of new players, which he kills because he's powerful against against them. This gives him high kill rates.
Nurse is difficult to master; this means that people will try to play her and get stomped a lot. God Nurses are rare; most people are average or downright bad with her. This means her kill rates suffer.
Also, please stop copy-pasting your arguments. We understand that Pinhead has the highest kill rate and that you consider Nurse to be supoptimal on most platforms.

you my friend are simply struggling to cope w a skill issue

I do not understand why you are complaining tbh. imo the box part of his power is really well implemented and interresting. I always like killers that not "only" have a power like anti-loop or mobility, but also have something that rewards them even more for good gamesense. The lament configuration rewards you for knowing the location of all survivors. On the one hand, it allows good players to regularily find the box or at least integrate it well into the match, while on the other hand, players that are new to the game or dont play pinhead a lot etc. won't get a lot of value. Obviously it gets them a little genslowdown, but that is to a fair.
It would be unfair, if he would get info for free, spoonfed as you called it. But the best information you only get for playing well, which is completely justified. The amount of info you get for free is relatively unimpressive and is not a reason to nerf him in any way.

Pinhead costs real money to unlock. He's not going against a lot of new players. New players go up against Trapper and Huntress and other free to play characters. I go against Pinheads but, also, Pro Vengeance and gtvel. They 4k whenever they want, they're not low mmr. Solo queue doesn't have the time or coordination to deal with the box, I'm guessing that's why he has the kill rates he does. It's even more imbalanced since the update.
Nurse being difficult to master is neither here nor there. One does not have to master her to 4k with her, simply average is all that's needed. If one is downright bad on her, they're on controller, console, or do not have enough hours on her.
You're saying I copy-paste arguments while your arguments consist of "low mmr", "not viable at red ranks", "Nurse's low kill rates"?

All licensed killers' powers relate to their lore, genius.

The locations of survivors in the beginning of the match can be shown with Lethal Pursuer. The Pinhead player can either follow the aura of a survivor running to a remote corner of the map or head to the area of the map where survivors didn't spawn. The box also makes noise when in its vicinity. Pinhead is given information when a survivor interacts with the box and when he, himself, picks up the box. Outside of aura-reading perks, this is spoon-fed.
Add to that, he gets a passive power as strong as the chain hunt and the built-in slowdown that comes with survivors having to juggle the box along with gens, healings, unhooks, chases, etc. As far as I'm concerned, this doesn't belong in a multiplayer game. His kill rate is the highest for a reason.
