Remember When…

L-T walls used to have pallets in the gap between the L wall and the little blob with a locker

Old ruin. I would start gen tapping if I couldn't hit the great skill checks.
4 -
That was probably the most OP broken "BUG" to ever happen in the game, even if it was for a few hours/day before it got fixed 😥
0 -
Oh it wasn't a bug
it was a "bug fix"
2 -
I remember having to practice great skill checks because every killer under the sun was running Hex Ruin.

I remember being told there would be a meta shakeup, and thinking that because dead hard was the most used and most complained about survivor perk, that BHVR would surely fix that, right? Then I find out they buffed it at high MMR against certain killers, that it's still the #1 survivor perk in my region, and I still have to deal with it all the time.
1 -
Remember that extremely short period where being stunned or blinded during the pick up animation would drop a survivor at the end?

Dribbling survivors to work around DS

I remember Old Undying. I think it was a really good perk but hated going against it. It was such a great feeling to beat it though. And back then, I didn’t have Tapp for Small Game and ofc Jill & Counterforce didn’t exist yet.
For our newer players, Undying 1.0 use to keep transferring your Hex Totem to Dull Totems after each cleanse, unless you found & cleansed the undying totem itself. It made for interesting gameplay, because ofc you couldn’t tell which was which. It created chaos like Hex: Plaything, in which survivors would be running around looking for totems, a la Easter Egg hunts.

Ahh the pre mmr days...good times

I remember playing heavy smoker nurse and burger King Meyers... I miss them. Those were really Hard but fun games :)

Right? I remember Red Ranks. They weren’t perfect, but they always did seem to give me a sense of accomplishment and prestige making it up there- especially when I was a fairly new player with a year or two in. I know a lot of people always used to say Rank didn’t mean anything, but to me it did. It definitely wasn’t the definitive way to say if a player was skilled or not, but your Rank was a decent indicator IMO. It made sense a lot of times when you got to the post match screen.

I remember when Burger King Myers was a thing
1 -
I remember when Self Care was literally an unholy amalgamation of perks like Botany, desperate measures in one

I have another one. Remember when Sabotuer permanently disabled hooks and Trapper's traps and the only way to hook people was basement?
3 -
I heard about that- I started in 2019 so that was before my time. Sounds like a nightmare!

I remember when matchmaking was based on Emblems and Rank back when you only matched with players of the dame color rank as you. Once you got to purple ranks you started to get much better teammates than the randoms you get today as a SoloQ.

Better times. 🍺 🥲

Red rank games consisted of playing against hillbilly like 15 times

A lot of people may not remember this but ghostface at launch emitted a noise go to 1:52 and that played when he was near you in stealth
1 -
Remember the old pallet vacuum that would instantly teleport you to the other side of the pallet?
0 -
Remember when Hag used to be pretty damn bad Killer? Slow set up time, smaller tp range, bigger terror radius and more!
0 -
Remember when bear traps were able to be sabo? Those were sad days for trapper mains.
1 -
really good times... now it's a rushing sweatfest for the main goal (killing/genrushing)
1 -
Remember Me.
3 -
I remember when Trapper could place a trap right under a hooked survivor making it impossible to rescue, as the animation took ages.
I remember when a bug would load up to 3 killers in the same lobby and as killer you could pick up other's powers. (i think it happened to me twice, once as Oni for sure)
I remember the BBQ event (how can i forget the amazing cocktail generators and BBQ hooks), the Halloween event when you had to fill up vial with the plant and the coin's event for Chinese new Year !
1 -
Remember that one event where all killers had a offering that gave them a blight rush token?
1 -
Wait,how did that look like :O ?

Brightest Moonlight with Lerys was amazing

People we're able to pull this off with comms so you can definitely imagine how easy it was to just break maps

From a discussion on these forums before
It was an Autohaven exclusive. You should be able to just make it out there in the distance

I remember when the 6.1 update came out and it was a madhouse. Blood bath and slaughter every match, Survivors crying that the game was dead and completely ruined. Everyone was running Left Behind and trying their damnedest to figure out how to even survive a match. I remember trash talking a Pig who started the match with traps on our heads and we still managed to complete 2 gens. Good times.

I remember that too! Such a heavy and unnecessary screw up on the devs part for a stealth killer. It was lauded as one of the worst design choices by the devs because using his stealth ability was like having GF shout "I'm in stealth now survivors, and stalking you, don't look over here, i'm being stealthy!" It was so unreasonably stupid. I mean the devs sometimes over-coddle survivors when they come up with new killers because they don't want the killer to be too oppressive, but that just made the fact that GF could go into "stealth" completely useless.
Sigh, on a related note, I also remember that time the devs gave ANOTHER stealth killer a freaking Lullaby radius that warned survivors the killer was coming from 24m away! can you believe that? I mean it's not like the lullaby was directional or anything like the aforementioned GF problem, it's just, you'd think the devs would've learned that you don't give a stealth killer, who rely on their ability to approach to get the jump scare on survivors, an "early warning" system if you want them to be fun and scary.
Whew, Man I'm soooo Glad they fixed that, because the killer could also be seen while in stealth, and made loud local area directional and Global noises when using their power to go in and out of stealth, interact with gens, windows, pallets etc, which is more than enough of a warning for survivors.
... wait... that's Onryo/Sadako?... WHAT DO YOU MEAN SHE STILL HAS A LULLABY RADIUS? DEVS...WHAT THE FU--- *table flipping noise*

I also remember when Freddy was released with a 4 second dream state timer after he used his ability to pull them into the dream world. This didn't make him that strong since survivors could just purposely fail a skill check and keep repairing a gen, and overall he was the only killer who couldn't even hit survivors unless they were already affected by his power and in the dream state.
But then I remember when so many survivors complained about Freddy right after his release, and the Devs did a knee jerk reaction nerf to him making it take 7 seconds for his power to put them into the dreams state among other heavy nerfs. After that they said they'd no longer do knee jerk reaction nerfs or buffs, but even though they nerfed him that hard, it still took 2 years before they re-worked him, during which time, he was unanimously slated as the worst killer in the game.

I remember when the first person dead/escaped in a SWF could rat out the killer's build to the rest of their team.
5 -
I remember when Freddy and Hillbilly were viable killers with addons that had helpful effects
2 -
Lol I remember this! This was a good counter to NOED. Probably the craziest oversight ever.

Remeber when fog was so thicc you couldn't see 1 foot infront of you and also I rmeber when sabotaging hooks took like 45 seconds, but it never respond

I remember the release of Hag and before a fix her stuns were 0.1 sec. Including DS stuns.

I remember when wraith didn't even visually ring his bell, he just appeared.
0 -
Or when he started the trial uncloaked, immediately giving away it was him at the beginning of the match.

I remember when you could insta-grab survivors going for an unhook as Doctor in treatment mode. Good times.
0 -
I remember when if you burned a Jigsaw Piece as survivor people would question your sanity.

I remember when it was near impossible to ever catch a survivor at Cow Tree. The old design is nothing like it is today. I remember it being a long half circle with the tree in the center and a vault on each end. This was also during a time with no entity blockers and killers took a LONG time to step over a vault. I remember watching a vid of a wraith being unable to catch a Claudette due to the design. Plus, whenever he would eventually get a hit she would just get to the other side and Self Care the damage away before he could get another. The game only ended when the Claudette eventually got bored and let him kill her.

I choose to remember nothing. It's less painful that way.

Prayer Beads/MDR Spirit with Surveillance, Hex: Ruin, Hex: Thrill and Pop.

This was beatiful, as old Freddy himself.

Remember when Devour Hope could give you 4 mori :D (<- face of depression)

I remember 3x blood point weekend when Bloody Party Streamers were common rarity. Killers and survivors united for a weekend of love and farming.

Lol I question which side they’re on when they burn Lery’s or Dead Dog Saloon.
