My first experience on the new Red forest

That's just whataboutism though. I could also say I don't see survivor players complain about fractured and coldwind in general.
All i read from someone like you who makes comment and doesn't respond to replys that don't favour them is you don't like and refuse to learn how to play against the most skilled killer in the game for both sdies.

I pretty much only play Blight now.
The map sucks. It might be the worst Blight map. ( It literally has motivated me to spend 30 dollars on a new game with guns and folliage)
I'm just not sad about it because all the other maps in the game.

I don’t think anybody is sad about it lol. It is what it is. I still win pretty much all of my blight matches. Red forest alone isn’t going to change that. We’re simply saying that map is cheeks in terms of performance ability for killers.

going to try playing again today after taking about a week off
but after what I saw at launch, I’m just going afk if I get this map as killer. It is absolutely stupid how bad this map is and I’m not wasting my time stressing over it or getting a dc penalty. Every can depip from a lack of chase or unhooks etc. I got this map once last week when it launched and not only is it so survivor sided only an idiot would say other wise, the survivors know it and were horribly toxic for no reason
they get to throw tantrums and die on hook when they aren’t getting their way but killers have to stick it out we don’t have a free-dc option.
every killer player should refuse to play this map. It’s an insult and absolutely disrespectful

Its not my case tbh. I have 5k hours in the game i just dont enjoy going against him consistently, especially because 8 out of 10 times he will have ring wich is dumb btw its not that is hard to play him, its boring because u greed u get hit. I dont find him fun to go against. There is no high risk high reward against him if u greed its easy reward for him (if he is good) so there is no ku h interaction u need to put pallets down quickly if he knows about good bump logic and not trying to hug tech all the time where u can actually play around more and greed. On this map is easier to verse him because he slides and has way too many objects and trees are THICCC af so its easier for the surv to juke, i just played yesterday against a comp blight he got 4 hooks on that map, is rough but as i said i dont enjoy going against him so idc if he suffers greatly is what it is same with nurse sorry but not sorry
1 -
Lery's was a decent change, it lost its atmosphere but it's loads better to play on now
0 -
Then… don’t greed? It’s boring because you can’t greed a pallet and run blight like you do an m1 killer. Sorry you can’t run the same loop 7 times before having to drop the pallet lol. ( sorry not sorry )
That’s the biggest thing I see survivors make a mistake on against me, they try to green pallets or they try and hold W. Neither works.

Even though both of the Red Forest realms have the exact same layout as before, I get confused and lost on the map because it looks so different and I don’t know my way around. One time I was looping the outskirts of the map because I didn’t know where I was and I thought I was near a jungle gym.
Did they add more props to the map? They added more foliage, and it’s kind of hard to tell whether it’s the grass that you can walk through or the grass that has collision. I do think they added more trees as well.

The maps looks great but to Many objects in patches of grass

The new Red Forest is bad for me and my friend because we can't see on it. Visibility is extremely low because there's no contrast, it's like a damn wall of grey. (PS4 Pro and Nintendo Switch, each on a different TV)
Pretty much refuse to play on this realm at all, it's just freaking miserable. It's bad enough that there's clutter everywhere and it'd be difficult to navigate if the stuff were clearly visible, but to navigate it half-blind? Screw off, game. I'd rather play on a normal map during infinite Nightfall than on the updated Red Forest.
1 -
It could be worser. Borgo is map that I hate most on any killer 100 million safe pallets and weird stuff around loops so you can't even try to mindgame. Garden of misery is worser too.
1 -
you're unwilling to accept that a good blight can only be stopped by pallets (or very, very bad maps), there is no counterplay against a good blight once you run out of pallets.
2 -
i don't understand their map design, like how can they think that Eyrie of Crows, Garden or Borgo are fun to play on maps? They are stunning visually but they're way too survivor sided
1 -
Well eyrie at least is bit better now it's smaller and gens are closer. But without gen regress build it's auto lose for most killers. But borgo just feels like there is nothing you can do. Big map and if you chase someone he just throws pallet after pallet they are all just next to each other... Garden of misery kinda same but at least I have managed some success there I usually ignore survivors running to the main building.
1 -
There is. It’s all about positioning.
0 -
yeah i played wesker on that map and I hit things not even on my screen
1 -
The fact that you think that means you have never really looked much into the character much. He has the most amount of counter play in the game, not to say any counter play is available at a given time
1 -
Borgo, home of half the games pallets and 90% of the games red.
1 -
Yup. I got stopped by seemingly nothing while going cross map as Billy.
0 -
Oh no! Your main isn't good on a map! I guess said map is poorly designed.
0 -
No killer is good on that map… so yea, you’re probably right.
3 -
??? there are many killers that arent m1 and still u can play around his power billy is the one that literally comes to my mind, i just had a run on wreckerds yards yesterday, he was really good, we got to 2 v 1 and a friend did 2 gens in that chase, high risk high reward he had engravings, if u play poorly u die but there is counterplay, the counterplay agaisnt a good blight is literally not playing DBD as survivor, the other one taht also comes to my mind is Wesker with his very capable anti loop but with counterplay, also Demo... thats the reason why i dont find him fun (unless he is not using any addons, then he becomes quite bearable but who plays blight without addons? that doesnt exist), i dont have fun agaisnt killers i only can W till i die or insta pre drop, boring AF, lame AF thats why i said what i said u may not agree wich is fine if u have fun at playing surv by just insta pre drop (if u even play surv at all) good for u i dont and most survivors dont either.- so anything that affects blight performance im happy with.-

can't relate, cause I hate those maps when I'm survivor and killer
1 -
Billy is such a meme killer now lmao. EZ chases all day even if they are good at Billy. Blight has tons of counterplay and if you don’t want to believe so, you’re probably just not as great as you may think you are, and I have no more reason to continue this conversation. Good day sir
1 -
yeah sure thats literally why in comp i see good billys quite oftenly getting 4ks in gas heaven and wreckerds yards but whatever suits your narrative pal.
and im quite good as survivor not gonna lie, i didnt say i cant play against him (again reading comprehension problems) i said he is not fun to play against not that is impossible, he never was fun especially when he brngs the dumb addons he always brings to the game that i dont even understand why they werent nerfed yet after years of being that dumb.
1 -
Billy in comp?😂😂 Maybe back in the day.
1) Good survivors know Blight has a ton of counterplay.
2) My reading comprehension? Dude… look at your composition. 😂

Its strange, the key locations to putting traps are no more, for example:
- Grass at Small door with god pallet in Temple is no more
- Grass at window in 5 lockers titles is no more
- Grass at god window that next to basement at main building in Mother Dwelling is no more
- Grass at pallets around main building in Mother Dwelling is no more
ect
But grass overall is every where. You have to know the pathing between 2 titles to optimize.
I actually like grass being like this, not obvious at titles, but connection between them. Hard to setup, and impossible to know where traps are.

The new Red Forest and new Shelter Woods are literally the worst maps for killers like Blight, Wesker and Huntress but are almost god tier for M1 killers becuase there's so much in the way of vision that killers like Legion almost get a free stealth perk
0 -
Yea I guess I could see that. Throw on monitor and abuse or another stealthier perk.. could work great. I’ll have to try ghostface out on red forest.
its still a massive map although, and the main building is stupidly broken.
1 -
The Red Forest maps are good for Ghostface, Wraith, Dredge, Sadako, Pinhead, Trapper, Hag, Nurse, and like a handful of other killers. And it doesn’t render any killer’s power useless, although some killers will have an easier time scoring downs here than others. But tbh that’s true of every map and every killer.
I don’t personally think it’s great for Blight but Blight is such a great killer he doesn’t really care about one map that really isn’t going to affect his kill rate. Which is over 60%. If you’re that upset with it take survivors to Midwich or Dead Dawg. :) Blight and every other killer does wonderfully there.

I have to say I absolutely love the visuals, but now any survivor could just duck into one of the bushes and a killer might pass them. Source: Worked for me multiple times
0 -
I would argue it’s not, simply for its size and problematic main.
But I’m not upset about it, the map sucks for me but it’s just a game lol. I still win more than enough games.
0 -
I love it and I hate Blight so it works for me
0 -
I can usually find 1 thing in common with people who hate blight.
0 -
"If you know the map feels awful to play on as Blight, imagine how painful it is for a Billy main"
2 -
Since I don't play Billy, I don't know.
But I specifically noted with this map that trees I slide off of tend to be located around the perimeter of the map.
So, when I want to work around a player in a L-T mess or some structure, or intercept a player before they get into one, I generally have to go outward, which means I slide off a tree and hit the border wall, leaving me with a mess of slide trees between me and the player I was trying to get an angle on.
Inside the main structure I have to know before hand where the player is going to go to bounce to that spot before they get there, and its very tight quarters, leaving not a lot of time to think or watch, just reducing me to muscle memory intercept at a vault, usually.
If I could lobby dodge a map...

Excluding his dumb add-ons you simply mean to say you don't intend to improve. Blight has the no skill ceiling and allows survivors to express the most skill, hating him and not specifically his 2-3 problematic add-ons means you have no intention of improving. That's fine in of itself, but that also means you have no real right to comment on these things.
Do you know all of the collision in the game? Have you ever pluto'd a blight? Have you played the killer extensively enough to understand the only killer with depth to him in this entire game? Everything you have said in this thread is just "You can only throw pallets" when in reality everything in the map can be both good for him and used against him. 5k hours in this game means nothing to me, I can count on one hand the amount of survivors I would consider amazing in chase. I've versed comp teams and mained a few other killers.
Also, Billys power may as well be a nerfed c33 that happens to insta down in a large dead zone. LOL.

I made a post awhile back which describes all the issues with the map design DBD has been taking, and how it has negatively affected Billy.
If you want to read it, here (just a warning though, it's really long): https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/367397/billy-mains-perspective-on-map-releases-reworks#latest

Thanks, will go over it.

its really that hard to read before repplying? when did i say i cant loop a blight? i said he isnt fun in the same way is not fun to loop an artist or a Spirit or a Nurse, u can more or less dpeending on wich map, addons, RNG, etc... does that mean is fun? no, but since u cant read. im done with this post. please dont repply, not gonna answer anyway.

You quite literally said all you can do is pre throw, which essentially means he has no real counterplay or skillful interactions. Which is discounting many skilled plays for survivors vs blight.
1 -
you don't get to choose your killer in comp every time, often the setups are determined, Billy is fairly often played even now. There are still Billys who destroy good loopers on classic 1v1 maps, watch some tourneys.
And no, Blight doesn't have counterplay once a Blight doesn't make mistakes (bump logic) and knows all the techs. I've played comp for a year and played against god-Blights and even they told me there is not much you can do if you're not near a good window or pallets.
0 -
I’ve played against solid billies, p100 billies, who could get maybe 2 hooks before 5 gens were done. As of many many months, I have not played a Billy that has “destroyed” us.
And if you truly believe blight has no counterplay, then you’re simply not as good as you think you are. Do you know how to crouch tech a blight? Or use collision to “catch” a blight? Do you know which tiles have unreliable surrounding collision that turn blight into an m1 killer? Do you know the direction to play certain tiles to negate a hug tech? Do you know how to counter a hug tech? I can keep going. 🤷🏻♂️
I’ve met survivors that know all of these things, and they gave me damn good chases. A full team of them put an end to my winstreak.
