Obvious intentional hook suicide should be bannable.

I think if we let survivors DC without penalties, killers should be able to request a surrender. The survivors can then either accept the surrender and be given points for winning. Or they can decline and give the killer a handicap, maybe expose all 4 survivors for the next down.

I also think survivors DCing should come with a required multiple choice answer for quitting, for example:

    "Why are you quitting"

    I got dunked on immediately

This killer is OP or not fun to play against

The perks being used (Killer) are unfair/not fun

    My teammates are griefing/trolling

    I have to go/emergency

Survivors should only have one kobe chance so then hook suicides would be way smaller problem. Can't ban people from that some might just want to try 4% and sometimes it's only hope when everyone is down. But if it's only 1 chance it could be increased to 6% chance. No more than that as agains't me 4% is 50/50 chance.

They should just take away the self unhook mechanic unless they are using a special perk for it. They then decide to AFK, troll, or work with the killer? Get them banned. Make the ban much more harsh after the first one. Make the decrement slower and longer lasting.  We really don't need hand-wringing children whose parents never taught them to tough things out to be playing games (of any kind). Don't like the stuff that could happen to them within a multiplayer game's rules and mechanics to the point of quitting in the middle of it? Then that game isn't for you. Stop wasting everyone's time.

Going to close this here; as some comments were pushing the line in regards to promoting negative behavior (i.e. Unsportsmanlike Conduct for DCing).

First off, Reinami, I'm sorry you dealt with that behavior from another player in your game. What you described was very reportable for Griefing (the in-game report required, Support ticket optional but any video of them acting like this would tell the story to the ACMs quickly, too). Any kind of intentional (i.e. multiple in a match to rule out accidental) behavior to sabotage the game for fellow Survivors is not ok whatsoever, as listed in the Game Rules.

This post has been moved to Feedback & Suggestions, and appreciate everyone's constructive and civil posts. Before I add, I wish to clarify: I am not a Dev; I am a Community Moderator, and 7-year long player myself. The issue is just as DCs cannot be discerned between internet/power loss, hardware issues, leaving the game for an IRL emergency, or purposeful "ragequit", dying on first hook cannot either: Trying to Escape the hook ("Kobe"), on hook already and need to leave the game, or going through the hook states to be sacrificed to leave.
