Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

As a Killer Main prospective on the Blood Moon event

Ok I've got a full run down on my thoughts on the Blood event.

In all honesty it's a nightmare for Killers most of the time. (Not all the time btw) having 4 Gens replaced with Blood Gens was not a good idea because most of my matches are me being Gen rushed to the ground because These Gens don't take long to repair. Blood pump spawns are broken as they can spawn directly next to blood gens which means they can take the survivors not long to get the blood Gens forcing the killer to 1 Tunnel or Slug the survivors into the ground making it a unfair situation for both sides. I've had multiple matches that I had zero time to set up or when chasing someone I get 3 Gen pops or more depending on how long the chase is.

This was a cool but frustrating Event for me I'm sorry if it sounds like complaining but I feel that I'm not the only person that agrees

Probably the worst event they've ever had imo. Literally the first one I think I completely avoided outside of the required times to complete the quests. Less perks you can use, less killers you can use, faster gens, nothing new for the killer to interact with. There's zero positive here to participate as a killer and multiple negatives.

A few things that would've gone a long way:

    Making gen perks affect them.

Attach each pump to a corresponding generator on the opposite side of the map so they'd have further to take it.

Hits make them drop the tanks.

Absolutely this has been the worst event for killers by far. It would be ok with just the fact that killers don't have any event interactions (event hooks and kicking event gens don't count they're just the same mechanic as vanilla) but how does an even nerf certain killers in particular and not others? idk how that made it to live.

I have found blood stations or whatever they're called just a few steps away from a gen, survivors have no problem finishing event gens in just a few second if they double or triple up and dump all they blood into one, the gen is done lickety split. And of course, do gen perks have any effect on event gens? of course they don't because why would they?

Its quite funny to see killers complaining about the blood pump spawn, while in reality survivors have to run half map to get to a blood gen for most of the gens. Also on all indoor maps with two layers the spawns are incredible broken. Not even to mention that there are far too many pumps that spawn into objects so that you cant even use them from both sides.

And nothing is forcing killers to tunnel or slug. Its a selffulling prophecy killers hold on to.

    Yah.

Its far, its been a struggle to cover the distance.

Anyways, as a killer, I just sort of switched over to tunneling as a mini game in this event.

I see how the spawning is bad for survivors as well. That's why I said not all the time I run into the Gen rushing problem. When i said killers are forced to slug and tunnel its from when the survivors are popping the Gens like popcorn when you only chased a survivors for 30secs and yes I've had this happen to me most of the time.

    Sadly, I can read.

Most of the survivor matches I play in this mode feature a blood gen, usually multiple gens, close to a pump.

As for indoor maps, yes they are a little more labyrinthine, but that is an intended feature of their indoor nature. I mean, it effects everything you do on the indoor maps.

Finally, to clarify, I tunnel in this mode, almost exclusively, because it is fun.
