Ghoul Needs another nerf/people keep quitting

One thing I can say is that it is best not to get too emotional when making these kinds of suggestions.
You don't seem calm now....
-3 -
Oh no, we need to stop people from quitting, time to make penalty harsher and remove the self sacrifice!

I'm not sure how OP could possibly have said, "I think Ghoul might need another nerf because people keep rage quitting." in a LESS emotional way.
You might disagree with their assessment, and you might think their suggestion is a bad one, but I don't see why you would think they were angry.
(jk we all know why)

While I can't personally predict whether further nerfs are coming, I wouldn't be surprised if they do happen.
What's more concerning, though, is the extent of mental gymnastics some people try to pull off to justify the clear power creep.

Survivors are just crybabies. Get better. The only changes ghoul needs is his range back to 16m and a nerf to enraged vault speed.
-10 -
not that I disagree, but sounds as an interesting topic.
Tell me what to do against Ghoul, when it is just the case of "Get better".
Seems like you consider yourself good enough, so you should know what to do.10 -
Only thing ghoul needs, is a killswitch until the "wall passing" grab attack is fixed, bc that attack is bugged and goes through walls when it clearly shouldn't (unless jts over a low enough wall like a pallet or a loop wall that isn't as tall as a door way)

A lot of Ghouls say he needs his enraged vault to function, and it's not that strong.
I personally disagree, but the narrative is without his enraged vault he's a worse Legion... even when seeing Kaneki's fly around tiles with some insanely good cutoffs of paths, windows and pallets...
Now he's probably quite hard without the enraged vault admittedly, but considering he loses tokens for breaking pallets he does have weaknesses at pallets... even though the enraged vault basically makes it a moot point in a lot of locations, that's a weakness he does have.
Personally I think he needs Kidnap tech removed, then he can be reassessed, I think he may well be fine with that change... but as it stands accounting for Kidnap tech just makes mind games something you lose most of the time.

Ghoul isn't that hard

He is just a poorly designed killer, that's not fun to face. Either you nerf him and he is unfun to play, or you keep him and he is unfun to face.
That's poor design, even in the middle it'd just be eh to both sides, nothing fun about it.6 -
How many more Skull Merchants do you need to produce to be satisfied?
2 -
I wish they'd just Kill Switch him permanently or re design him like Skull Merchant with Kill switch included. I'm tired of facing him, his kit is annoying buggy garbage
3 -
they probably wont kill switch him since hes a new killer + hes licensed

People keep quitting against Skull Merchant and she's the weakest killer of the game now.
4 -
They almostnever killswitch anything unless it outright crashes the game, they didn't even used killswitch to disable boil over when there was many unhookable exploit
0 -
i remember they've only disabled a few for bugs and i can't even remember which killers
1 -
You could place these players next to an open exit gate an they still DC in a rage
1 -
because he's unbearable, another killer that's gonna be nerfed and not used because of design flaws
-3 -
But they don't

Biggest problems with the ghoul is that the auto-aim hitscan feature of their power even allows them to locate survivors in their peripherals or obscured by things like bushes easily. The first hit they get also feels way too free.
So it's basically like legion, but with much, much higher mobility, the ability to body block survivors, and heck, even a form of ranged attack that can hit survivors up on a different level if there is a clear line of sight.

The only thing that should be nerfed is his hitscan injury. It feels very bad to get hit by that and knowing there isn’t much you can do. Everything else is fine even tho I‘d want the minimum required distance for a leap to get lowered to 3 meters.

i hope they get rid of that teeth locator or change how it works

Remove the kidnap "tech" and he should be good. Anything else is just a skill issue at this point

People don't quit because Ghoul is strong, but because he is not very fun to play against.
Let me explain few situatutions:
- Open space: Ghoul hits you while you are healthy with basic attack, then immidiately cancels, land on top of you and hit you in no time.
- Hitscan through solid objects been nerfed a lot but still causes a lot of unfair hits.
- Pallet - you don't drop the pallet = you get hit, you drop the pallet and he vaults it, while he vaults it he either gets hit on you before you are able to run around or you try to outplay him but there is kidnap mechanic that automatically detects you and down you.
- He can get from hook in the corner of the map to the gen on the other side of the map insanely quickly, making every second of healing, repair etc. even harder to pull off.
Despite that, I think he's ok in current state. The thing is that killer can't be fun to play, balanced and strong at the same time. And this is assymetrical game, so killer primary identity shouldn't serve as entertainment to survivors.

Ah yes. Let's nerf Killers just because Survivors DC against them. That's in no way abusable!
Survivors will DC against literally anything they don't like. From 'I was found first' to 'I am not having fun at this very moment' to 'I personally don't like that Killer/Perk/Map'.
Allowing them to control what gets axed by them being salty would be horrid.
2 -
I see what you're saying but at the same time if a majority don't find it fun they will most likely do something to make it fun instead of miserable
-2 -
Ghoul clearly need some buffs. double the range and instant downs. thats some start
