Bhvr please allow us to toggle off notification bubbles for many reasons but for me personally as a huntress main they just get in the way. The noise can stay but I wish we could toggle off the bubbles.

Once your game sense is good enough you don't need them anymore as you should know where the survivors are at most times. This of course is just my hot take lol.

Let me know what the rest of y'all think!

I dislike them as well. The problem is..this one minor change that should take about 2 seconds will take about 2 months as they have to scroll through the very poorly thought out game code and find the specific instance where the bubble pops up and then create a function where players can turn it on and off. Then when it gets implemented, the following bugs will happen because of simply messing with said poorly written code:

    • The Trappers traps will float off the ground higher than they ever have AND glow white at all times even for Survivors so they can be easily spotted.
    • Wraith won't be able to uncloak.
    • Hillbillys chainsaw sprint won't end
    • Oni, Blight, Wesker, Nurse, and Nemesis again will get kill switched for one reason or another.
    • Survivors are all bald.
    • The UI colors become inverted everywhere in game.
    • Totems don't spawn.
    • Deathslinger quick ADS will return but nobody can complain due to the endless EAC errors not allowing the majority to launch the game.
    • The RE maps recombine into one giant map again.
    • And moonlight offerings return out of nowhere.

All because we wanted them to fix Generator bubbles. Quite a hefty price to pay. There's another 6 months of bug fixes right there.

I always thought they were fine people are only complaining about them more now because they are bugged and show for about 3-4x times longer than normal

It is really annoying yeah. They block so much information when playing as Killer.

The bubbles are there to block your vision of the event. In other words, they are working as intended.

While they are working as intended ( that wasn't the question at all), I think they are actually there to show you where an event took place. If you remove the bubble then all you would get would be getting is a directional sound. As it stands the bubble is more beneficial for the negative aspects of killer at least. If you're thinking that it is there to prevent camping or even proxy camping it isn't unfortunately.

The devs have stated in the past that the bubble is an intentional design AND balance choice. It is meant to show you where an event occurs, yes, but is also meant to briefly obscure the direction of travel for the killer after a hook, and survivors after completing a gen.

I hate the sound. It's like a low fidelity explosion. A regular notification should not sound that rough. I'm surprised people don't complain about it more often.

hook bubbles have always lasted 5 seconds since 2019 the problem is that they block aura reading which they didnt before dredge patch

Pig being nerfed that chapter was intended and not one of the many UNINTENDED bugs.

Pretty sure getting in the way is their entire purpose.
