The Animatronic 'Remove Axe' is prioritised over pallet drops for controller players

SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE: When playing on controller against The Animatronic, when the killer throws and embeds their axe into you, the 'Remove Axe' prompt seems to take priority over pallet drops, and it is exceedingly difficult to drop a pallet whilst the axe is on your player (not impossible but so so challenging) - has got me downed needlessly several times.
This is with the default Xbox controller mapping.
PLATFORM: PC (using controller)
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED: Play against The Animatronic, have them axe you, try and drop a pallet whilst it is in you.
VIDEO: None. Such a basic issue.
