Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

[Balance Proposal] KGR System (Kill Rate-based Generator Repair) - Unified Killer Balance

Core Idea:
A global system called KGR (Kill Rate-based Generator Repair).
- Shared among all players using the same Killer (not per-player).
- Based on BHVR’s official "Kill Rate" (KR) for that Killer.
- Goal: Standardize gen speeds based on Killer strength, while allowing skilled players to dominate even with weak Killers.
How It Works:
- Base Stat:
- Each Killer has an official KR (e.g., Nurse KR = 65%, Trapper KR = 42%).
- Fixed value calculated by BHVR from global player data.
- Gen Speed Adjustments:
- If Killer’s KR > 55% (strong) ➜ Generators repair faster for Survivors (+% based on deviation).
- If Killer’s KR < 45% (weak) ➜ Generators repair slower (-% same logic).
- If KR is 45–55% ➜ Gen speed = 100% (normal).
- Why Is This Fair?
- Pro with a weak Killer (e.g., Trapper):
- Trapper’s KR = 42% ➜ Gens are slower in all matches.
- Despite the Killer’s weakness, slower gens let skilled players secure wins.
- Playing a strong Killer (e.g., Nurse):
- High KR (65%) ➜ Gens faster ➜ Prevents easy stomps even for experts.
- Pro with a weak Killer (e.g., Trapper):
Prevents Exploitation:
- Unified system (all Trapper players share the same gen speeds) ➜ No individual exploitation.
- Uses BHVR’s official stats (not personal performance) ➜ Transparent & objective.
Improves Balance & Competition:
- Weak Killers:
Slower gens compensate for weak powers ➜ Pros can win, newbies aren’t doomed. - Strong Killers:
Faster gens add challenge ➜ Even experts need strategy. - Result:
No "unwinnable" or "auto-win" Killers ➜ Healthier matches & diverse metas.
