If you could create perks what would you do? because atm i feel like we have way too many perks
And i fear honestly eventually there wont be that many good ideas for perks and just sidegrades. it's complicated because even now we have several useless perks and more and more survivors and killers will keep coming out.
Now the issue is if survs and killers started releasing without perks or with just 1 perk that would affect their sales…
So what's everyones opinion?
also
If you could create a perk or two what would you create?
So… random idea for anti tunnel perk
Escape Route
Every time you are hooked you gain a stack that lats 2min(?) if you reach 2 stacks this perk activates. (this means being hooked 2x in a row aka hard tunneling)
When unhooked you gain 50% speed for 10 seconds. entering a locker teleports to you the farthest away from the killer possible and gives you 30 secs of aura reading protection/no pain sounds/no scratch marks.
This perk deactivates if killer hooks someone else after hooking you.

I'd start leveraging the Glyph's seen in the Tomes: Randomly spawned point of interest you stumble upon via the connections made by your perks, either found in passing while being time-efficient, or hunting for it (likely with a helper perk/item), while not always having the same interactions.
Such as:
Red Glyph
Killer - See the Aura's of your Glyphs within16m. When collected exposes all Survivors for 60s. A New Glyph spawns 2 minutes after use.
Survivor - See the Aura's of your Glyphs within 16m. When Collected Heals you over 8s. A New Glyph spawns 2 minutes after use.
I'd probably rework it so you just need to run over the Glyph instead of interacting with it. (more notably to be better leveraged in chase).

Most of the new perks are underwhelming. They're weaker versions of better perks we already have. Until those perks end up on the chopping block of course.
If I could make a new set, I'd do something more like Nic Cage's. Emphasize fun over meta. An idea I had for a Dead Rising crossover would be the Flashbang system but with Mixed Juices: charge the perk, get into a locker, leave with an item that gives you one of four random effects when consumed. I'd love more perks that trick the Killer as well, whether that be more in the direction of jump scares like Scene Partner or Blast Mine or more in the direction of illusions like Mirrored Illusion. Bardic Inspiration is another great direction to take. Something that gives players a unique animation and interaction.
Granted none of these would survive very long and that's probably why they aren't emphasized, but the game DESPERATELY needs fun and these would provide.

I'd go for stranger, sillier or item-related perks. Some brief examples:
A killer perk that causes survivors to trip over vaults, causibg them to fall for a second or two, yet will make a killer slip a metre in a random direction if they vault it to (although they don't fall).
A survivor perk which allows them to gather herbs around the map, with which to forge into status-buffs.
A killer perk that acts like an add-on one killer has, such as having a pallet stun cause the survivor to lose a health state.
A survivor perk which perhaps allows the survivor to use Vigo's knowledge to spawn a hatch, albeit it just teleports the survivor to the basement or another hatch.
A killer perk which allows elemental damage.
A survivor perk which can allow them to find and decipher runes on the map, which in turn can help them with map or killer knowledge.
Other perks could include: Memes; offers additional BP or EXP (they need to bring those back); spawn various items of objects that can be used to gain an advantage; shares killer powers and so on.

A perk that puts a bomb inside a locker, it explodes when the killer open the locker, similar to Blast Mine
same with a chest, when the killer gets to close from it
for the killer
A perk that traps the survivor inside a locker for 30 seconds when they enter for the first time

I think there should be more perks that are like abilities like flashbang, mirrored illusion, etc. on both sides.
Imagine a killer perk that let the killer create an illusion of itself complete with terror radius and red stain that they could just leave on one side of a loop to trick a survivor0 -
More perks that let you actually do different things. Dramaturgy lets you do a weird little run. Can we get a perk that lets you perform a spin kick? Anything's possible; but 'ability' perks (like the poster before me said) are pretty neat.
