Seems Shattered Hope is a very underutilized perk, we can fix it.
We gotta keep the breaking of the totem as a feature, its unique and something one can tinker with.
So hear my out, we take a page out of Haddie's Overzealous and slap speed on it too.
So if when you break a totem, you gain like 7% speed for 10 sec. (or something like that) and aura reading for 10 seconds on any Survivor within the Boon Range (24m) when you kick it.
But if you break a boon totem, hoho my friend, then you get twice the effect 15% speed for 10 seconds. and the standard aura reading for 10 seconds on any Survivor within the Boon Range (24m) when you kick it.
Now that is something I would run, reminds me of the old pumpkings you would kick.

+rep, this perk needs to be buffed in some way to justify the perk slot. When the original Circle of Healing entered Dead by Daylight, this perk made sense to enter the game. The perk really needs to do SOMETHING if boons are not brought to the trial.

The perk suffers from being a bandaid fix to a problem. The perk offers nothing if survivors don't bring boons and boons are not that common, because individually they are not worth the effort without any kind of coordination.
Personally, I think it would be far better for BHVR to rework boons as a whole. Make Shattered Hope basekit, buff boons as a whole since they are now limited to 5 totems in a match. I simply do not think infinite use survivor tools are healthy for the game.

Being able to break Dull totems would allow for consistent 5 stacks of Pentimento every game.

Thanks for the reminder, We can put a cooldown on it then.
I would like a way to use pentimento outside of Hex: Fortune's Fool (Hex: Plaything).
Im sure BHVR isn't satisfied with Pentimento being so reliant on another perk to function, by making Shattered Hope better we can increase the variety.Post edited by Emeal on0
