Killer - the Fuming
Killer Data
The Fuming is an aggressive Demon, pursuing those she feels have wronged her with relentless brutality. Her personal perks fuel her in her pursuit of revenge and make Survivors feel the flames of hate.
Speed: 4.6 m/s
Terror Radius: 32 meters
Height: Tall
Difficulty (how much one needs to know before playing the Killer at an entry-level): Very Hard
Weapon: The Fuming holds a bayonet in her right hand. Her lunge has her pull the bayonet backwards before slicing forwards with both hands.
Sound Effects: The Fuming's movements are generally quiet, with her only sound cue being her light footsteps. Sparks of Wrath produce a directional sizzling sound up to a range of 8 meters. While Conflagration is active, the Fuming produces a directional sizzling sound akin to Sparks of Wrath up to a range of 8 meters.
Power: Vow of Enmity
A pact with otherworldly forces gives the Fuming power over the flames of Hell. The Fuming is able to appear at a moment's notice in a burst of flame, brand Survivors with a red-hot blade, and burn the world around her down with her malice.
Spark of Wrath creates flaming slices in the world at points the Fuming chooses. At will, the Fuming can teleport to these slices. Survivors who stand too close to a Spark or toy with one without being prepared for the consequences become Branded; subjects of the Fuming's enmity.
Conflagration unleashes the Fuming's rage once she's grown fed up with games. Sparks of Wrath become more lethal, Flash Fire and Branded Survivors become particularly vulnerable.
Spark of Wrath
Using the Power Button, the Fuming slows to 3.4 m/s and can choose a point within 8 meters to create a Spark in. The place a Spark would be placed in is shown in white. Upon placing a Spark, the Fuming is slowed to 0.6 m/s, returning to normal speed over a course of 0.65 seconds. Sparks have the following attributes:
- Sparks activate after 4 seconds, at which point its white Aura becomes orange.
- They are intangible.
- Up to 6 can be placed at once.
- When all have been placed, the Fuming can place more, but doing so will remove the oldest one.
- They cannot be placed within 8 meters of a hooked Survivor.
- A Spark within 8 meters of a hooked Survivor is destroyed.
- They cannot be placed within 8 meters of each other.
Holding the Active Ability Button, the Fuming slows to 3.4 m/s and can teleport to a Spark within 24 meters. The Spark closest to the center of the Fuming's screen is highlighted red after 0.85 seconds of holding the Active Ability Button. Clicking the Power Button after this point will teleport the Fuming to the red Spark. This removes the Spark. The following describe the teleport:
- While a Spark is highlighted red to the Fuming, it opens and produces a unique noise, alerting Survivors.
- After teleporting, the Fuming moves at 6.9 m/s for 1 second.
- During this time, the Fuming produces a scream, audible from up to 24 meters away.
- If the Fuming places another Spark while at this speed, their movement speed becomes 150% of the listed value until the conclusion of the speed boost.
- Survivors within 8 meters of a Spark when the Fuming teleports to it become vulnerable to being Branded. If they lose a Health State within 15 seconds, they are afflicted with the Branded Status Effect.
- Vulnerable Survivors have a red symbol visible over their head that fades over the course of 15 seconds.
- Teleportation has a cool down of 15 seconds.
Sparks can be cleansed by Survivors. While next to a Spark, they can interact with it in a 3 second channel. If the Survivor fails to complete the channel, they are afflicted with the Branded Status Effect and scream, revealing their location for 4 seconds.
- A Survivor is considered to have failed completing the channel if the Fuming teleports to the Spark while a Survivor is cleansing it.
The Branded Status Effect
Branded Survivors are marked on the HUD with an orange and red circular symbol over their portrait. Branded Survivors are afflicted with the following effect:
- When they enter the Fuming's line of sight, they scream, revealing their location for 4 seconds. This will occur at most once every 30 seconds.
The Branded Status Effect lasts 100 seconds or until the Survivor afflicted with it is put into the Dying State.
Conflagration
Conflagration charges passively over the course of a Trial at a number of charges per second equal to how many Survivors are currently Branded. Additionally, when a Branded Survivor is put into the Dying State, Conflagration gains 33 charges.
At 100 charges, Conflagration activates for 40 seconds:
- The Fuming's model brightens and becomes far more visible.
- Upon placing a Spark, the Fuming is only slowed to 2.4 m/s initially.
- The Fuming can teleport to a Spark from a range of 48 meters.
- Teleportation has no cool down.
- When a Branded Survivor would become vulnerable, the Fuming's increased speed from teleporting is extended by 0.25 seconds.
While Conflagration is active, Flash Fire can be used by holding the Active Ability Button for at least 0.85 seconds and pressing the Attack Button, rather than the Power Button.
After a delay of 0.25 seconds, the highlighted Spark lets out a burst of flame covering 4 meters or until it reaches a wall in the opposite direction from where the Fuming is facing, changing where it covers as the Fuming moves their camera. This fire spews from the Spark for 0.12 seconds. After this time, the Spark disappears.
- Survivors hit by the fire or standing within the Spark lose a Health State. A Survivor who loses a Health State from Flash Fire cannot lose another Health State from the same Spark.
- The flame can be crouched under by Survivors.
For 1.7 seconds after Flash Fire is used, the Fuming moves at 2.3 m/s.

- Visceral Bell - When Conflagration activates, all Survivors are afflicted from the Branded Status Effect. When a Branded Survivor is put into the Dying State, all other Branded Survivors that are injured are afflicted with the Broken Status Effect for 60 seconds.
