Getting 8 perks as killer
SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE:
I played a game with The Krasue, and for some reason I had 8 (according to survivors) perks. I noticed the map had 5 lit totems despite me having no Hex perks at all. I could tell I had at least Hex: Ruin & Hex: Blood Favour (as pictured), but I didn't figure out which other perks I supposedly had through gameplay.
PLATFORM: Steam | PC
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED:
- Queued into game as The Krasue (but I might have seen it happen on other killers)
- Just randomly had extra Hex perks I've never ran before.

I'm trying to think how this could possibly have happened, did you change perks prior to loading into game and maybe had on a full Hex build in the previous match, do you have full hex builds on any other of your killers (asking about full hex builds, as it seems to be hex perks that you had the effects of in game).

Hi! I can confirm I have not run any other build on The Krasue other than this one, and I do not have full hex builds on any other killers either. I am pretty certain I don't even have Hex: Ruin or Hex: Blood Favour unlocked as perks. I quite honestly can't think of anything I've done that could have triggered it, and this was only one game among many. I think I saw it on one other killer when I was playing on survivor, I think the killer was The Ghoul, so it's not killer dependent either.

this is likely a result of a cheater, i've noticed that some of my recent cheaters have been able to do more wild things (think resident evil release cheater uprising) so this may or may not be one of those things

It's just strange that a cheater would go out of their way to help the killer, as all the survivors at least acted confused about it as well 😅I doubt giving killers more perks than they should and almost guaranteeing a loss as a cheating survivor has any benefit, since I feel like BHVR would be able the detect who in the match is cheating or not if the goal is trying to get killer players banned.

I have seen few discussion post of some people running into this totems without totem perks bug/glitch early this year but there never was any real bug report done about it. So it seems its still possible to get this but it seems to be really rare bug/glitch as if this would be happening more there would be way more posts about it. Good that the op reported this one as its not something you can easily reproduce and seems to be really rare and random.

Is this why nearly ever killer I've played against on survivor has ruin/blood favor? I almost never check perks in end game since I'm itching to get into the next match, the next time this happens I'll screenshot and see if it's also happening to other killers.
