Names containing special characters (e.g, %/$/&) get cut off

SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE:
Names that contain some special characters, such as a %, in their name will get cut off at it spot. I have quite a silly name but it gets cut off because it has a % symbol in it. My name on Steam is "2% Milf Drinker" but in game it is now always just "2". Moving the % causes it to cut off at different locations.

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED:
Put certain special characters in your name (such as % or &)
The string of your name will get cut off on UI elements, and in the lobby/tally screens
