Who thinks the map Autohaven needs a brightness increase?
Because according to some devs and members of the community, it's too dark.. I disagree, my reason being is that Dead by Daylight (DBD) is an asymmetrical survival HORROR game which means the map has to be dark to some degree. Now true we don't want it ridiculously dark for this is not a single player horror game. But I think altering the map brightness on Autohaven is a dumb decision especially since we have a gamma setting now. Also I'm just gonna come out and say it, some players have the awareness of a goldfish, not because of map brightness but because of lack of practice so they don't know the hiding spots, tricks, etc. Dead By Daylight is not a game you just play with 1 hour under your belt and automatically be good at it 🤣 Anyways that's my opinion

It's not just about brightness, it's also about lack of contrast. I've tried adjusting the gamma on some maps where I feel like I have zero visibility and it doesn't help because there's this grey filter over everything and there's no contrast. That's part of Autohaven's problem, everything is just green. I personally can see fine on Autohaven, but even after fiddling with the gamma my friend feels blind on the map, and if one survivor is having trouble seeing on the map then every survivor in the match is going to have a worse time for it. My friend has a lot of maps memorized, including Autohaven, but it's one thing to be able to blindly walk to every totem spot and another to navigate the environment in chase with poor visibility plus the low framerate plus frames dropping everywhere plus the controller input lag and everything else going on.
