Im sad that the Basekit BBQ feature of the last PTB is going away.
This is from the last PTB, and I think that system as basekit was such a good edition.
BBQ is a good perk, its a great perk, its probably one of the best perks for Killers in the entire history of the game.
I might even say its too strong sometimes.
Seemingly this feature was decarded because it "held the hand of Killers" but I think thats wrong, its merely a suggestion to the Killer on where to go. You dont need to follow its directions.
This basekit feature was limited to only find people who have the same or less hook states which was really neat when it comes to spreading out the hooks.
Here is my suggestions:
- Include this feature as basekit again
- Change is from revealing LESS and EQUAL to only LESS hook states.
- High mobility Killers or teleporting Killers do not have access to this feature.
The reason for the change is that BBQ is a very very very strong snowball perk, which fast killers dont need and changing the reveal requirement to less means its harder to double hook a survivor and much better at spreading out the hooks.
I think that would be a solid basekit feature and it would help with people who like to hide to much too.
Please consider it BHVR.

It was "hand holding" so it's too much, yet they are giving so many perks basekit for surivivor

I actually super glad it's gone, because it was not "basekit bbq" at all. Unlike BBQ, it just showed survivors with low hook states. And this info could really be harmful to me as killer, misleading me into chases I don't want or don't need to take.
BBQ is great, because after unhook I can collect info about map and make decision based on that, PTB form is just taking your hand and saying "oh now you are going here, don't make decisions, just follow". And it's awful way to play the game. Left alone the fact it just keeps me away from my goals as killer.
So I hope they will never reintroduce this mechanic, unless it will be actual BBQ instead.-5 -
Im sorry to hear that you disliked the feature because it let you into chases you didnt want or need.
But im proposing that this time, you can just chose to not act on it. See if that works for you.0 -
I am kind of glad we have it as a perk at least.
The basekit version sucked.

That was a good decision. DBD should have less wallhacks. Not more.

They could at least make it that when you get fresh hook you either see repair progress of gens by aura intensity (like Legion's add on) or the most progressed gen (jagged compass). Regression as equally peak as tracking, haste on the other hand not so much. People run furtive with friends because it allows you to pinball between people, sometimes even 2 same survivors.

……What?…….Do you see the amount of basekit things survivors get? They get their hands held by the Dev's and the entity while killers just have to suck it up and deal with it as survivors perks gets higher and higher in greatness. The game isn't putting a gun to your head and telling you to "Go here" or "Don't make decisions"? If your smart that little information you get from the basekit BBQ can help you keep track on who's doing what or should I worry about this or that gen? Your not forced to chase that survivor you see on basekit BBQ unless necessary to your plan our goal in that match. In the end no matter how you look at it, It's ALL up to your "decision" on how you want to execute things with that crucial information. Killers need more basekit to stand a chance against survivors and not have to have the sweat rush down our ass crack, reaching the very hole just to get at least a 2k or 3k…………
