The Black Banquet, And Some Of The Fixes I Would Make!
Black Banquet is a fun event with a great theme, but a few mechanics make it overwhelmingly survivor‑sided. Removing invincibility alone would fix most of the chase problems, since it shuts down killers whose powers rely on guaranteed hits. Invisibility can stay (Maybe make the shimmer a little louder), but portals shouldn’t grant any invisibility — the food already handles invisibility, and portals should just be a mobility tool. Unbreakable pallets should also be limited to a small number instead of covering the whole map, and the team heal table should require survivors to contribute together rather than letting one person feed the entire thing. These changes keep the event’s identity intact while restoring basic counterplay.
Killers should also get meaningful rewards for collecting poison bottles. Survivors already gain multiple basekit‑like effects from morsels, so killers deserve their own event‑themed progression. Each bottle could give a random permanent buff, with a cap of five bottles, and these effects would activate each time a gen is completed, encouraging killers to save them. Buffs could include small permanent haste, faster vaults, faster break speed, random perks, or even rare effects like a Blighted Serum dash. Bottles could stack or repeat, and killers would still be able to use the poison actively on top of the permanent buffs. This keeps the chaos and flavor of Black Banquet while making it far more balanced and enjoyable for both sides. I would also love to fix the poison to be more fun for both sides. At the moment, it seems quite un-interactive for killer and survivor, due to them dying the second they leave a loop from the lack of stamina.

I can tell they have, plus this forum being survivors 90% of the time means anything that I say that involves balancing them gets dislikes, like this post I made. And that prolly means BHVR wouldn’t care to read it, or even balance the event right even WITH seeing what I wrote.
