2 Survivor & Crossover Chapter Wishes (Classic CoD Ghost & Supernatural)
With characters like Lara Croft and Alan Wake proving that standalone Survivor updates and full narrative expansions are a massive success, I wanted to share two iconic franchises that would fit flawlessly into the Fog. These concepts focus heavily on fan-service plus one idea has a atmospheric map design.
Here is my wishlist for future Survivor-focused additions:
1. Standalone Survivor Concept: Classic Modern Warfare 2 (2009) Ghost
With gaming legends showing how much the community loves iconic characters, I want to pitch a standalone Survivor concept for Simon "Ghost" Riley—specifically his classic 2009 version.
This concept honors his tragic betrayal by Shepherd alongside Roach and Soap, bringing a gritty military-horror aesthetic to the campfire.
- The Main Survivor & Legendary Skins: Simon "Ghost" Riley serves as the base Survivor. To give fans the ultimate Task Force 141 bundle, both John "Soap" MacTavish and Gary "Roach" Sanderson arrive alongside him as Legendary Skins, reusing his exact skeleton rig for zero code risk.
- The Unique Lobby Feature (Riley the German Shepherd): Similar to Ellen Ripley having Jonesy the cat on her lobby screen, Classic Ghost features an exclusive lobby animation with his loyal German Shepherd, Riley. Whether you play as Ghost, Soap, or Roach, the chosen character will gently pet Riley or command him to sit by the campfire. The wholesome highlight: Riley loves the whole squad equally.
2. Full Chapter Concept: Supernatural (The Winchesters, Crowley, Castiel & "Baby")
The Winchester brothers are practically made for Dead by Daylight. This full Chapter concept expands the game's dark urban fantasy roster while keeping its mechanics perfectly manageable.
- The Survivors (The Team & Skins): Dean Winchester and Sam Winchester serve as the base Survivors. To complete the iconic squad, Castiel and Crowley (an absolute fan favorite!) arrive as Legendary Skins. Castiel acts as a skin for Sam, and Crowley as a skin for Dean, ensuring they reuse the exact same skeleton rigs for zero code risk.
- The Map: The Cursed Highway (Compact & Balanced Layout):
- The Map Style: The structural layout directly mirrors highly successful, balanced maps like Greenville Square or Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria. It focuses on one single, high-value central main building surrounded by balanced outdoor loops.
- The Main Building (The Diner): The central structure of the map is a creepy, dimly lit, abandoned roadside diner. This serves as the main building with unique vaults, generator spawns, and tight indoor loops.
- The Killer Shack (The Forest Cabin): The classic Killer Shack is visually reskinned as a small, dilapidated wooden cabin hidden in the dense forest surrounding the diner.
- The Ultimate Easter Egg: Parked right outside on the diner's dusty gravel parking lot, players can find Dean’s iconic 1967 Chevrolet Impala ("Baby") with its headlights dimly glowing through the fog. It serves as a static map asset, requiring zero driving physics.
