Remove franklin's in exit gates
Make franklin's demise don't work at the exit gates. I have enough of scaping and loosing the item in the little time my character stops while scaping
Comments
-
Leave before the killer gets there then
43 -
..or just run out right away and don't get hit? What's the issue here?
16 -
Oh my god guys. It's obvious that OT meant this change for those who keep the killer busy in the end game and not for time wasting survivors standing in the gates.
Then again, I am the first one to never leave the game until everyone can make it out by taking a hit or to go save with BT.
4 -
Don't want to lose your item then don't carry an item. Simple.
6 -
And what happens when you have the killer chasing to you and you luckily go to the exit gates?
0 -
What happens when the kilker is still chasing you and you almost scape?
3 -
If you're putting yourself in that position, you're accepting the risk of losing your item. And more often than not, people are wasting time in the gates cause most players refuse to leave unless everyone else is there too.
1 -
Sucks for you I guess. You don't get a free pass for being close.
7 -
Some people just want to heal each other to get some more points or sone extra points of more audacity
1 -
@Angelicus23 Why do you feel it is unfair to lose the item in the exit gate area but not unfair 2 meters in front of the exit gate area?
0 -
Because I feel it more balanced just inside the doors
0 -
Make Dead Hard, DS, MoM and other 2nd chance perks not work in the exit gate area.
19 -
You want those points, you risk losing your item. If you don't want to lose your item, just leave.
1 -
Yet another salty surv grinding for the last chase's small BPs that failed
3 -
I dont see the problem with it really. Thats really your fault for staying at the exit gate instead of leaving.
8 -
@Angelicus23 But why, what is the reason? If you are in a chase and get hit 2 meters in front of the exit gates and lose your item, you have to escape without the item as well.
The exit gate area is still an unsafe zone where you can get hit. What makes these last couple of meters different from the rest of the map?
1 -
I said some people, not me
0 -
@PiiFree If I am not allowed to use my DH anymore, can I get a pallet in the exit gate area instead? *puppyeyes*
2 -
Oh, I'm sorry, let me correct myself:
They want those points, they risk losing their item. If they don't want to lose their item they should just leave. Better?
2 -
If the killer's running Franklin's you should know by the time the exit gates are opened and just leave instead of waiting.
Even if your being chased out and loose the item, That's the whole point of the perk and you should be afraid to get hit if you have a good item and make safer plays around it.
4 -
I'll give you full invulnerability for the whole match if that's what you're truly seeking for.
This would make the matches more fun for Survivors after all, at least from what it looks like.
"Make Killer Perk X not work in exit gate area! ...but I dare you, I double dare you MF if you touch any Survivor perks we RIOT!"
13 -
2 meters is the exact distance of half a second running
0 -
Read the first anwers I wrote
0 -
And? Why should you suddenly get free invulnerability from a perk then
1 -
I did and I'll say it again. That's how this perk works, If you don't want your item to be dropped then you have to make safer plays to try not get hit. It's that simple.
Nullifying a perk that takes survivors items just because the survivor wants to keep their items makes no sense.
3 -
Just imagine being a survivor for a moment. You wore your last purple item, with the best addons you had. You almost scape but the killer was chasing you and when you thought you scape, the game stops your character for almost two seconds exactly in the final line and the killer hits you when the screen shows you you scaped, but the kilker was wearing franklin's
0 -
@Angelicus23 But why is that a reason why losing an item in the exit gate area is unfair, while losing it 2 meters in front of the area isn't?
2 -
Then I should have played safer to avoid losing my item, plain and simple.
3 -
@Angelicus23 So it's not about balance but simply it's more frustrating when you lose the item on the last meter than losing it 20 meters earlier?
2 -
How the hell you play safer when killer found you and chases you
0 -
The only thing I think it should change is if you make it out the exit gate you shouldn't get hit 5 steps out of it and either get hit or lose your item.
0 -
You play safer by not allowing the killer to find you. If you get found, that means the killer was better at finding you than you were at hiding, and he shouldn't be punished for it.
0 -
Don't get found, use loops and pallets to your advantage better to make distance between you and the killer.
2 -
What about perks like whispers
1 -
If you get hit in the exit gate, and lose your item, just pick it up again. The killer's weapon cooldown is longer than the pickup animation of survivors. You can still escape with your item.
3 -
Whispers doesn't pinpoint survivor location. The killer still needs to find them, and you can. Still hide.
1 -
You have enough of it?
That sounds like you say it happens too often.
While i'm betting this doesn't happen often at all.
For every time that happens, there's ten times more moments where they just wait for you to slap them out.
Also, it's just an Item. Be glad that Survivors get to keep their stuff at all.
0 -
What about them? There is no perk that freely reveals a survivor's location.
0 -
@Angelicus23 What about perks like Spine Chill?
0 -
Looking in your direction but doesn't tell you where they are versus a perk that's like sonar that never stops. It's like a bat using echolocation it's way too accurate and needs to be on a timer and not work on lockers.
If whispers wasn't so good then so many killers wouldn't run it.
0 -
+1 I agree "Remove franklin's in exit gates". I'ts interesting to disturb the survivors during the game, but in the end it does not matter. Just avoid teamplay and help for the survivors...
It is not urgent, it is already necessary to solve the problem of FACECAMPING :)

The fact that this topic has garnered so many replies is rather amusing when it's literally the game working as intended.
5 -
Comparing it to a sonar or echolocation is just wrong. Because those 2 also reveal the direction, distance, and motion of the object being tracked.
2 -
I used those as a reference but the point stays the same it's way too accurate given how spammy it is. I've run it on my killers and it's way stronger than it should be at finding people.
0 -
How about no?
Don't be toxic and get out.
3 -
It's not accurate at all. It shows a broad area, and especially at the endgame the killer isn't gonna be looking in every nook and cranny, they're gonna be booking it for the gates to stop them from being opened.
2 -
@powerbats Except it's not like that at all. Sure Whispers is a really good tracking perk. But it suffers from the fact that ALL survivors count towards it, including hooked ones. And unless you are scratched mirror Myers or a killer with the add ons to see survivor auras (or Freddy), the most Whispers can do is tell you a survivor is in a area, other then that, YOU still have to find them. Hiding in a locker is still a good counter as Whispers doesn't tell you where in that radius a survivor is, just that they're there.
Now from your comments, I'll assume you use it to it's utmost potential. However, Spine Chill is a powerful survivor perk, able to accurately pin point where the killer is, as well as giving buffs for having killers so much as look at you. Spine Chill TRUMPS all of the killers stealth capabilities, assuming you didn't know.
As for @Angelicus23, no, you get hit, you lose the item. Either hide better, or make peace with your item if you happen to be in a chase and you get hit..
1 -
So basically, what you want is this:
"Your vicious attacks make the Survivors drop their Item on impact.
The lost Item is damaged in the fall, losing 0/5/10 % of its base amount of charges.
This perk does not apply if it would make the Survivor holding the item feel bad."
7 -
"waaa i can't teabag at the gates with my item waaaa"
Just run out when the Killer starts getting close if you love your item that much. Sorry that you can't teabag. :)
5 -
No offense, but boohoo. I have been prestiging Jane and so I have been using my items (I never use items but since I am trying to get to p3-50, waste not want not) and almost every time I used a Good Item, the killer had Franklin’s. Oh well.
If you don’t want to lose your item, either make it count or accept it’s a possibility you will lose your item and try not to get hit. Maybe don’t bring items when everyone else does too - that’s literally begging the killer to bring Franklin’s.
