They still get input from higher positions and the rest of the team. If you're the only few red ranked killers in a 100+ man team, its hard to convince them from red ranked killer problems. Thats why balance changes are stagnatingly slow. I wish Peanits and not_Queen would join the balance team, they're real red ranked killers atleast.

How hard is it to comprehend there were more reasons behind the ruin nerf besides the difficulty it had for new players? It was a poor bandaid fix for the gen problem, killers relied too much on it while it was starting to lose effectiveness at higher ranks.
but its just easier to hear what you want to hear and blame all your in game problems on the other side and the devs.

No, I just have a habit of not always throwing ######### at the devs for implementing changes i dont like.
They already addressed the gen problem by nerfing toolboxes, so that is out of the way. Gens are a more complex problem than just adding extra time to them, there are many ideas but they take time to consider.

While you're totally right, it actually used to be the opposite before the ruin changes, these forums were always survivors complaining about how "X" killer needs a nerf or "X" perk needs a rework, while this still happens, since the ruin changes they are overwhelmed by killers that realize how unbalanced this game actually is, not trying to take sides here, just making an observation.

Survivors aren't welcome to the forums. They haven't been ever since this place became one big circle jerk for killer mains. The amount of upvotes legit killer main posts get compared to legit survivor posts says it all.
If you say anything in favor of killers, you're rewarded with money and blowjobs. If you say anything in favor of survivors, you're crucified and lynched on the spot and immediately called "toxic" without people even knowing your playstyle.

Im not sure if the doc changes are exactly pleasing newer players, or letting plague start with one fountain of lethal puke is gonna help new survivors a lot.
Not that attracting new players to the game is bad neither, considering everyone is complaining about poor queue times.
What other changes besides the ruin nerf are "good examples"?

Did we forget old freddy, Oni, Plague getting nerfed immediately after released? Infinities taking skill? Maps that still haven't been fixed years after they are implemented.
It took an entire community to tell BHVR that Ghostface was ######### in the ptb.
I don't give a ######### about being ashamed, I give a ######### about getting a good game. If you honestly give a ######### you wouldn't be acting such a white knight everytime the devs ######### up and the community calls them out on it.

I am a survivor main..and I am really honest xD I haven't played killer for so long that I am rank 20, I didn't even know it was possible to derank under rank 15. Anyway, I understand your feeling, but I must say that actually survivors have a great advantage over the killer: when I play with my team, the killer has absolutely no chance, that's because we can coordinate and get gens done so fast that by the time he downs and hooks the first survivor we made at least 2 gens and a half. So no matter how good he is, the only thing he can do is to camp and kill one, or try to slug us all (which never works ahahahaha). The times we lose is because we do mistakes, like get stuck into stuff, or because dead hard doesn't work, or because of 5GHz Wi-Fi hits through windows and pallets (but that's because of the servers, not related to players' skill).
So, if I wanted the game to be more challenging, what would I ask to the devs? To slow down generator repair speed a little bit (not too much or it would become unbalanced the other way around) and remove purple, green toolboxes and brand new part, shortly, all the stuff that can give too much of a speed up to gens. Then FIX DEAD HARD, FIX DEAD HARD, FIX DEAD HARD, and then nothing else :P

But i am sorry to tell you that many of the changes you mentioned were required
- Oni was way too good at slugging
- Freddy nerf was in a time when the game was utterly survivor sided and the devs didnt really understand what the ######### to do with their game, things are better now
- Plague... well, the slowdown really affected her gameplay but the nerf to the tablets were necessary.
- McCote is not in charge of balancing the game, take his comments with a grain of salt, i dont think he takes his game really seriously
- Yeah, ghostface was terrible on release, but... You said the devs didnt take into account the opinion of their players when balancing their game, why bring up ghostface now?
I have had my disagreements with many of the devs decisions in the past, MoM was just a cheap cash grab, the legion nerf was far too brutal on them, DS taking way too long to get changed and then still getting buffed. I just disagree with the dev hate boner many people have had on them recently, its ridiculous, it seems like you people are shitting on them just because.

If I'm doing well as Killer or Survivor, I feel no need to come into the forums; I continue on to the next match.
If I'm seeing rankings mismatch, obnoxious exploitative playstyles, or get lit up by toxic SWF then I'm more likely to come into the forums to see if there's anyone else having the same issues; how do they deal with it; is there anything that will be done about it.
Point is, you don't see happy citizens protesting on the steps of their local government hall. If survivors are in a better spot than killers, then it makes sense to see more griping from killers in the forums.
If there is "shouting" from killers then it's because they need to be 4x louder than the survivor side whom outnumber killers 4:1.

- Many of the so called nerfs were actually necessary tweaks to gameplay, except for the Freddy nerf and plague slowdown nerfs which were questionable.
- But they have fixed many of the inherently flawed map designs in these 4 years, do I have to remind you that all windows were open and there were spots with double pallets on them?
- Did new players ask for buffs to doctor and plague?
- I have already told you, I dont agree with every single decision the devs made, I just consider this recent wheepfest against them dumb

Devs *do* take feedback from their players, but only if you present it in a way that is respectable and actually reasonable. As well as accepting that your idea is subject to constant criticism.

I don't know if you've taken any 3D modelling classes, but 3D modelling as well as map design, especially in a game like Dead by Daylight where they try to create an inherent horror atmosphere is difficult.
The rework for Lery's completely overhauled the whole map, even if you have a master employee working on the maps it will still take them time to create the new assets and build them in a way that doesn't allow players to randomly glitch through the world or exploit the weird geometry of some shapes.
Not to mention the random element of it of different tile blocks, making sure all of them fit together despite being a randomly generated map.
Haddonfield does need a rework, but that map has two floors in every building as well as a constant barrier that separates every house. Its easy to just say "rework Haddonfield" without thinking what needs to be done to actuallt rework the darn map.
Not only that but Haddonfield is a licensed map, they also have to get the okay from the rights holders that the reworked map is an accurate depiction of Haddonfield. Which takes even more time.
So yes, the devs know you want Haddonfield reworked. But it takes ages to rework something like this, especially since its licensed.

I dont know where you get that idea besides your own head. Never seen I killer say they are supposed to kill 4 ppl every match, same as you wont ever see a person saying he needs to escape every match even if they think so. You are only exposing your own beliefs about killers and nothing about real ballance of the game. You just need to read one of the old graphs (stats) of this game to know that never, ever killer's had an ez time on red ranks, but they do have it ez on yellow, that's how it always has been and so far we know (from the statistics) it has not changed.
Try pulling your head out of your assumptions and look through the stats before stating your obvious bias. And dont confound killer's rates with survival rates on different ranks because they are not the same.

You already have the resources in the game. You're telling me they can't replace those long ass fences with existing shorter ones and make the map smaller?

Very simple, they should deliver quality but you and I both know that every addition of content comes with the addition of new bugs. In case of survivor this gets fixed quite fast, meanwhile sound is bugged for months without end for killers and even completely gamebreaking bugs to their powers. The wheepfest would probably not exist or not the extent as it is right now when they actually give priority to gamehealth and quality of life for everybody.
