Remember Me Encourages Tunneling
I think it's a little weird that with all the effort that's been put into reducing/discouraging tunneling, Remember Me has been left completely unchanged. This perk not only encourages tunneling, but is basically perfectly designed around tunneling.
First off, you're rewarded for hitting the same person over and over again. Remember me only gives you tokens if you hit the obsession. Matter of fact, it also has the perfect number of tokens for tunneling a person off of hook each time. Two hits to down, one hit to down and hook again, and one to that one more time. Then the person is dead and you have maximum tokens.
Secondly, the fact that the obsession is immune to the effects of Remember Me. This effect encourages tunneling them out of the match. A killer wouldn't want to put in the effort to get maximum tokens for remember me, just for the obsession to be the one to open the gate, making Remember Me a wasted perk slot.
Here's what I'd propose for Remember Me to make it so it doesn't encourage tunneling. I don't know if thematically it would work fantastically, but gameplay-wise, I believe it would be healthier though:
Every time the obsession is hit, a new survivor becomes the obsession.
Remove the effect where the obsession is immune to the effects of Remember Me.
I believe this would keep its gameplay effects basically identical, while no longer encouraging tunneling the obsession.

In my many hours in this game, I'm pretty sure I have only seen remember me once.

Well, I do think it is thematic. Freddy puts people to sleep. Your version of Remember Me forces killers to attack different survivors. When Freddy attacks different survivors, he puts multiple survivors to sleep. Its a win-win!

Then why isn't being used... seems that Tunneling is the best thing to do (sarcasm)
Changing who the Obsession isn't just on the Killers... Survivors have perks that change who is the Obsession as well
While yes Tunneling the Obsession at the start of the match means getting some use out of Remember Me that doesn't mean that it needs a change

They changed dying light for a similar reason. It used to give a huge debuff to everyone when the obsession died, and they changed that because it encouraged tunneling one person out of the match.

It would probably be a good change.

A perfect change.
The perk is however very weak and still needs buffs in general to be comparable to No Way Out. Maybe at max stacks it adds like 45 seconds to the gates. Not as much time as No Way Out is adding, but also add that is causes gates to now regress at a very slow rate if not opened.

Someone seriously thinks remember me OP
what's next ?
Predator will be OP?

I didnt say it was OP, just that it encourages tunneling. Its far from OP.

Michael Myers was also tunneling Laurie Strode. Tunneling is part of horror.

When you get tunneled, do you feel scared or just annoyed?

I feel hunted.

So changing it to making a new Obsession after every hit makes it even harder (for the most part) to use
And removing the effects of Remember Me from non Obsessions again makes it weaker (for the most part)
0 -
The first change might make it weaker, but would make it less tunelly to use.
And I didnt say to remove its effects from non-obsessions, I said to remove the obsession's immunity to its effects.
So that's one debatable nerf and one objective buff.

Yea I mistyped... Removing the Obsessions effect just undoes what the perk was meant for

Well I feel like the obsession not having their door open speed slowed down is kinda an unnecessary drawback for a perk thats only useful during the endgame anyways. It would still function the same, just without that drawback.

I mean that it'll free up other perks... but that being said
But slowing down the Gate opening has pros and cons... in certain situations
0 -
Well the whole point of running Remember Me is to slow down gate opening speeds. If you think it would be better that survivors open doors at a normal speed, not using Remember Me is an option.

Yes and no; Dying Light gives a massive debuff to the killer as it straight up buff the obsession with no action penalties and they gain passive healing/unhooking speed; making it useless. By running perk by itself (not with any slowdown perks stack with it), at most you are affecting 2 to 3 Survivors at most. And guess what, if by chance the obsession gets killed, the perk deactivates and throws away even all your hard earned progress.
Remember Me is a strange case as many obsession based perks revolving around chasing and not interacting with the obsession; as well as not killing them or tunneling them, like they used to... maybe i agreed with OP and Rework it so that you can hit one on all 4 Survivors and make it so the obsession is alsobaffected by this perk, which helps with the old killing them to get value. But it seem like by doing that, you are making this perk copy Grim Embrace and less usable. Maybe a extra buff in which the timer per hit survivors is increased from 4 to 5 seconds up to a maximum of 20 seconds. Or make it so that hitting the obsession again will give a bonus 5th token for 20 seconds instead of 16 extra seconds. It would be nice of I can hit all 4 survivors and if at least hit the obsession twice I can get value.
Also, if I were to Rework Dying Light to be not problematic; I would make the buff to the obsession be more of a Debuff; so there is more incentive to not bother them at all. They instead get a Reduced Healing/unhooking actions speeds, as well as be just like everyone and definitely be affected by Dying Light effects if the killer earns non obsession tokens. I would be fine if they die, and the Killer lose tokens, if only Dying doesn't give the obsession a straight buff, whom is never effected, yet they can possibly the worse Survivor that would be easy free kill for you, but you sacrifice Dying light's benefits.

Ok... hold on...
So you're suggesting that the Obsession switches on every hit... and all Survivors suffer from the effects of Remember Me
Other then it switching every hit... It sounds good enough

Hahahahahahahaha
Oh man that's a really great joke
Imagine 60+ seconds to stand in one place to open the gate XD
Some sort of regression to gates would be good enough of a buff (0.25 or 0.1 per second) like you said

You forget rancor.. how tf would you use it if every time you downed the obsession they're not the obsession anymore?
0 -
Yeah those scratch marks are simply too close together and it's unfair that they are closer /s
1 -
They should just make the obsession swap to the person who unhooked the obsession, similar to Furtive Chase.
Then Furtive Chase gets a whole rework because it is garbage.
Easy Change

It would definitely effect Rancor, but it wouldn't make it entirely abusable. On one hand yeah, you wouldn't really be able to kill the obsession, which is a pretty noticeable downside. But it could end up having an application similar to NOED. You down the obsession, now someone else can be insta-downed, down them and then go for the next person. The exposed can only apply to one person at a time, but it could end up being spread to everyone at some point, with no way for them to break the cycle.
