Killer should not be alloud to Lobby Dodge
Ruins Matchmaking.
No good reason but to select weak team.
Why que just to leave?

Reasons why killers doge lobbies
-P100s
-multiple same items
Otherwise, queue times are less than a minute and you'll get another killer within seconds if someone doge your lobby.

yup! it ruins the poor matchmaking in dbd :( I think that should prevent a matchmaking or thats why every game has a matchmaking, you shouldnt cherry pick lobbies xD but no! not in dbd! it should continue to be cherry picked, swf should still be able to do almost only ez wins, Blight and Nurse should continue to do hundreds if not thousands of win streaks, the matchmaking is at the level of dbd's current balance, both embarrassing...

Toolboxes- I refuse to deal with them in almost any capacity.
Backfilling into a swf when I'm not mentally prepared for that level of play
Bad Vibes- This isn't a joke answer, some lobbies give me bad vibes and I just leave.
Sometimes P100s- I know prestige isn't an indicator of skill, but I've a lot bad endgame experiences with p100 survivors being just the absolute worst human beings and they're usually pretty jerk mid game as well as a lot of p100s I've faced will exit game on hook or straight up DC if they go down first. So sometimes I just won't even bother playing in a lobby that has one.
Are these good reasons? To me, yes cause I want to enjoy what I'm playing. I ain't got that dog in me for DBD like I used to have back in the day and just want to have some fun and get bp. So I'll dodge till I feel comfy with the line up as not really concerned about winning.
13 -
You contradict yourself but okay.
2 -
If you see killers dodging your lobby, you can just leave and requeue if you are concerned about matchmaking issues.
6 -
I had a game where one of the survivors dm'd me with my ip and booted me offline.
2 weeks later I got the same survivor even though I reported them.
Why wouldn't I dodge that lobby?
2 -
Explain how I contradicted myself.
I don't care about winning, I just want to have fun and get bp. I don't find games that are artificially sped up by toolboxes fun. I don't find getting called slurs and people rage quitting because their ego is massively inflated due to having spent a ton of bloodpoints a single survivor fun. Nobody enjoys staying places that makes them feel bad or off and SWF requires me to get into a specific mindset that I don't really enjoy putting myself in just to keep from getting completely ran over in this game.
I play DBD casually and I want to play in matches that are casual. I want to play in matches where I can learn different killers and mess with different builds without feeling like crap most of the time before getting to actually have fun. Sometimes that requires me to dodge a few a lobbies or go play my best builds and killers which after literal YEARS is quite boring. I'm not a sweatlord or someone looking to steamroll, most of my games regardless of lobby end in 2-2, but if I'm not selective about my games I just end up being overly stressed for no reason. I'll put up with the extra pressure in fighting games because I take those more seriously, but not doing that for DBD anymore.

I only dodge lobby, if I see the particular Groups of Survivors that I have a bad game with before; because they are either:
*High P-100, more then 1 in lobby.
*Multiple TTV in lobby
*The are bringing a full Toolbox set (all 4 of them, the Genrushing type)
*if Lucky, I would back out as soon as they swapping characters and bringing a busty item in display.
But if it's need to be removed from the game, I have couple of qualities of life improvement changes I want to see in the lobby:
*Survivor, just like killers; are not allowed to changes characters. Simple Change, it should have been there from the start.
*The killer should be allowed to see the all of the survivor's full items (it should display the color variety of the item, as well as the addons they are using) in Lobby, so they can have a game plan and warning in case of survivors bringing in better items/builds for it.
*also, would be nice if the Killer gets a notification and a pop-up over a Survivor head, and informed them that this player is a SWF, or not. That way, they know what they are dealing with in advance.
**One Major Quality of Life Improvement I like to see for both sides, and well reduce the struggles of being a soloQ player and discourage lobby dodging agaisnt a possible swf. BLOODPOINT BONUS AWARD, for each SWF player you faced, or the amount of SoloQ players for one solo player. If you are killer whom is playing agaisnt a SWF, they get a passive BP bonus gain from 50%, plus a extra 25% per extra member, up to a maximum of 100% for all 4 SWF players in lobby. Same goes for SoloQ players, for each teammate, that is a SoloQ player also; they get 50% plus extra 25% for each soloQ to a maximum of 100% if every Survivor is soloQ. And yes, it does stack with BP offerings and events, for maximum BP farming. That way, even if soloQ player dies early in the match or the killer fails to overwhelm a swf, they will get a extra BP to collect for their work.

Generally I'll dodge any time I'm backfilled. The matchmaking already screwed up, I'm fixing it.
5 -
Or you’re making a pattern out of nothing and adding to the problem.
1 -
Alloud?
I mean, they are allowed to leave, not sure about alloud?
0 -
If you're suggesting that there's a chance the completely random backfill has coincidentally succeeded in a close MMR match up. Lol
1 -
Leaving the lobby should be possible for everyone.
All possible information besides choice of survivor, choice of cosmetics and choice of items shouldn't be available however. Prestige, especially profile access, names and so on should be gone.
Alternatively completely get rid of every last line of code that makes up the "backfill" logic. Just use completely normal matchmaking to replace anyone that leaves, don't rush it or whatever on earth it does that makes a revolving door lobby where the killer changed 2 times and 3 survivors left and got replaced have a massively increased chance of being a horribly mismatched clown fest that already has a predetermined outcome from the first frame of the match. I don't care if that means I'll have to wait 30 seconds instead of 10 seconds. Or a minute even, I just don't want to see 3 yellow perk killer vs survivor team with 3000+ average hours or a 27 hour survivor in a match vs a 6000 hour nurse main.
But get rid of prestige no matter what. For all someone knows that prestige 5 Dwight might have 3 P100s anyway.
2 -
but Dwight 5 doesn't have 300bnp in inventory. and the probability that the player on it came to complete the task and not start all the gens in 4 minutes and squat at the gate is much higher
0 -
Yet another reason why prestige levels should be hidden from other players.
4 -
If anon mode is removed and block actually prevents matchmaking with the player... maybe?
The only time I ever lobby dodge is due to players who are using anon mode, as 90% of them just use it to hide the "Multiple Vac Bans on Record".

why not strap people to chairs and force them to play the game at this point?
god forbid killers have agency in participating in matches against clearly strong(er) survivors.
if anything, survivors should be given same amount of agency (knowing the killer/their prestige/nickname). This game is a casual game in the first place so forcing people into matches they'd consider unfun from the very beginning is counterproductive.

I was afraid of P100s but i faced one that seriously, looked like was his first time playing, 15 second chases, i know its only a case but make me loose a bit of fear of them.

Play high mmr 20 matches in a row with killer, you will figure.
1 -
Blinding them wont solve the problem. Some that would have left in lobby will quit mid game, making it a waste of time for survs.

Knowing the killer might be too much (although picking a FL against Hag or Wraith is no longer such a big deal), but prestige and player name (to access player profile) should absolutely be a thing.
I had so many killer playing extremely scummy, and then saw in their steam profile the various complaints about it, with the player seemingly being proud of it and wearing the negative comments like an honor badge. If I was able to see the profile beforehand, I could dodge such scummy players, or at least prepare myself for it (taking perks against their playstyle or simply take off the cake/bps I usually bring).

I don't fear them, I just don't like the attitudes of the p100s I've encountered. The people who I would expect to be inclined to play out games and not get so tilted at the slightest mishap that they feel the need to get particularly hate are people with high prestige or lots of hours. Yet, they be the ones who behave the worst.
1 -
I feel like if people were allowed to know the killer, but couldn't switch their loadouts at this point, it would've been fair.
idk how that would've been implemented tho
0 -
Survivors should not be able to play with friends. Then it is.a fair playing field. Which is going to happen...never.
3 -
Until the game is actually decently balanced dodging seems like a necessary feature.
We can say killers use it to cherry pick easy matches but that’s literally also swf as doing swf is cherry picking they will get a significantly easier match and that’s way more reliable than a killer guessing by the look of the lobby.
I have no qualms about a killer dodging my lobby on survivor so I don’t see the issue.
3 -
This is true. SWF are cherry-picking their team mates as much as Killers can cherry-pick their survivors.
2 -
Exactly. If hypothetically SWF didn't exist then maybe I could see an argument but that's never going to happening.
1 -
Correction: You get a WAY stronger killer. Statistically speaking a killer confident in their ability to win will decide to stay with the lobby, while the other would dodge.
Solution 1: Lobby dodging will incur DC penalty.
Solution 2: Hide prestige until the end match score screen and hide items until the last 5 seconds of the lobby, where dodging is impossible anyway. Add DC penalty when ALT+F4 during the match loading screen.

What's a VAC ban? Is it a PC thing?
1 -
No, what I’m saying is that you think it looks like a backfill, as evidence by your assertion that it is one. When you are not certain, and as a result simply add to the problem by causing another backfill in the event that you were wrong about it being a backfill in the first place.
0 -
The nanosecond I load into the lobby, there are four survivors readied up.
That's a backfill.
1 -
Yeah I was wondering that too. If so how could us consolers even be aware of such bans.
0 -
And yet survivors are allowed to switch characters at the last second, going from having nothing to everyone having BNPs or Flashlights.
Killers arent even allowed to switch to a different killer anymore.
3 -
But how would you know that you'll get a stronger killer? If you can find me prof in the form of a video that you'll get a stronger killer after you doge the lobby multiple time then I'll believe you.
about Solution 1: No, giving a DC penalty if you leave a lobby will never happen and that will cause killer mains to complain to the devs which will end up being reverted.
About Solution 2: There is already plans on making prestige levels being hidden. Survivors already can do that in the form on switching last second. The only thing that I'll agree with you is installing a DC penalty while in the offering screen, something that DbD Mobile.
But if you truly want killers to get punished for leaving lobbies then it would be fair for survivors to get punished if they leave lobbies as well and among other things.
4 -
i get someone with a history of being banned every other game. No point playing with them.
0 -
The more dodges the sweatier the game. That's my personal experience in my 3500+ hours of gameplay. The killer who dodges is probably appropriate for your skill level. Then four of them dodge the lobby and you get a guy who readies up immediately. You immediately know you and your solo teammates are going to get destroyed. I can tell you from a killer POV that lobby dodging definitely gives you easier games. If you cherry pick lobbies then you can ensure that you rarely ever lose games. Literally just go play killer and you can verify that this is true. It just turns the game into a bullying simulator because no one wants to take the game the matchmaking initially gave them. People say "SWF IS unfair!" but have no issues with bullying weak solo teams. The hypocrisy is off the charts.
1 -
So survivors want to be allowed DC from actual game, but dodging lobby as a killer is bad?
I usually watch second monitor, so I can't be bothered, but when I play some random killer for challenge, I simply don't want to deal with clearly sweaty games.
4x same item? That's a no
Multiple same skins? That's a no
Multiple high prestige? That's a no
When I play my main killers, I don't care, but I am not going to play against this as Pig, or Billy (daily killer example).
If I don't want to play against it, I won't. I will just DC on loading screen, so you will have to wait even longer instead.
1 -
To be honest, I don't judge the killer to do this, yesterday I was playing killer ( I'm killer main ), 4 or 5 matches consecutively have a map offering, 2 to 3 MFT or builds to rush gens fast as possible with 1 or 2 of the matches having 1 to 2 BNP.
If I remember correctly, I win 1 to 2 matches, I play casually, just for play to not get stressed, so I don't care that much who I'm facing, I understand why some people dodge some lobbys, maybe they are tired, maybe they think "this again... I don't want to go against this again".
