I'm having the same loading issue where my game is stuck on the, "Initialization Completed" phase. The game just doesn't load in. This has been happening since the update. (Now I want Cage for free lmao).

This is well beyond frustrating anymore to the point of never playing again bc its getting to not be worth it... Spent over $10 yet again on this game and for over 2 day not being able to play, and it took over a day for the problem to even begin to be acknowledge and worked on. This happens almost every 👏 single 👏 freaking 👏 update 👏 like this on ps4...you think by now the console would stop being overlooked in testing since soooo many of us play on it. Maybe instead of just comp testing you should have consoles be able to test it too so this would stop happening and would stop a large part of your base from not being able to play the game when everyone else can. We've missed out on last day of double xp, the launch of Nick and the start of the new tome and rift. Not to mention I'm also losing money since I am a streamer that mainly streams DBD.

Any progress in fixing this? I still can't get past the "initialization Completed" screen. I also do not get a cinematic. Was looking forward to getting Nicolas Cage.

I have encountered an issue on ps4 while loading up the game, it gets stuck on the initialisation complete and will not load at all. I have waited as long as two hours. I have tried and it has worked on a separate account.

As angry as this game can make me, and as much as I say I hate it, I too am experiencing withdrawals and immense disappointment that I can’t play the new release. Really hoping for at least an update on this situation soon…

Same I've tried to just sit on the screen to see if it would change but nothing happened I tried restarting my ps4 and even reinstalled DbD but the game won't load past initialization completed

I hope I can safely assume this is the team’s top priority at the moment, and I hope that those affected get some form of compensation for lost time in the game. I can’t say this isn’t disappointing but thank you for the update.

Just to clarify - those who contact support can have assistance at account level that will enable them to play again. The full fix will come out at a later date, as this is a temporary measure to be able to get you back in the game.

@Mandy I already contacted support, and they haven't done jack, and I haven't even got a response. I know this isn't ur fault, but it's starting to really piss me off. I'm starting to think that DBD support is just a joke. Literally.

@ScorpseClown There is no way of telling really, I've heard stories from anywhere between a few days and a few months. (No joke). I think I got lucky tbh. I wouldn't waste ur time with that though, because they just told me that they would 'further investigate' like what B.S. bro. I'm starting to get really REALLY angry because something like this should never happen, let alone take this long to fix. I mean you'd think they'd care about their fan base right lol?! 😅 Anyways back to the point, BHVR headquarters is located in Montreal, which is a lot closer to me than you, so I would estimate a couple days. Then you'd have to take into consideration of how many complaints they're getting, which I'd assume is only a growing amount seeing that more and more people are getting fed up. Anyways sorry to take so much time. I hope I helped in some way.

Sometimes there a problems with license related stuff in certain districts, which even makes fixing the problem take a lot longer lol. I been having same issue I tried everything i uninstall the game 6 times, I have rebooted my ps4 5 times I have restarted my ps4 2 times and rebuild the data base 4 times I even deleted my profile added my account back on like I said I tried everything it is stuck on initializing complete screen won't load past that I been seeing everyone else has been having this is issue I sent two reports to bhvr twice my psn tag is ADHD_Eddie and my email is akiraproject75@gmail.com if anyone can help my out let my know this is very frustrating I know if anyone who loves this game as much as me has put alot time and money into this game for all the characters and expansions i am bummed i hope they fix this soon

That’s actually pathetic. We have to help you determine the issue, we have to bug you for better methods of updating (surprise one twitter thread isn’t exactly efficient) and the best you give us is better luck next update? And what exactly will we be compensated with? When will we receive anything even remotely similar to information as to why this happened and when will this company acknowledge and begin to fix the very obvious lack of genuine care, efficiency and service to the console platforms? This has been a blunder across the board and is honestly just pathetic.
