Élodie Rakoto Cozy Break Cosmetic
Lowkey devastated by the latest cosmetic for Élodie... First of all, that is NOT a bonnet. That is a HEAD WRAP. Secondly, where is the silk?? If it was a bonnet, her hair should be tucked inside. Please I beg of you, either modify the description to be accurate, or update the headpiece itself. It's almost as bad as her Gold & Silk headpiece with the poorly done braids and no baby hair which essentially makes it unusable.
It feels like she is continuously being neglected and I don't know why. Also, what could you combine those shorts with? They're very questionable and I don't know why they couldn't have at least been cute shorts on their own like Mikaela's Cozy Break shorts.
It's becoming increasingly difficult to offer support or defend Dead by Daylight when the lack of cultural understanding/research is so apparent. Please, hear me. I have only good intentions and want to see change for the better as well as people actually being able represent themselves and feel good about it.

It is sad to see that this happens to other characters as well.
The only one I know of is Felix and his Oktoberfest Outfit. As a German, everytime I look at it see all the mistakes they made, the most obvious being the stockings which are way too short. If you really want do it right, ask someone from Bavaria to give advice. Since I am not from that part of Germany I cannot give you the help you would need.
The other cosmetics from Kate and Meg are OK, because I see them as "tourists" and they often do weird stuff. But I expect the Survivor from Bavaria, Germany, to use the correct clothes (even if he's actually from Franconia but that would be too much to ask😅).

Is it stated that Felix is from Franconia? I kinda assumed he was from Frankfurt/somewhere around there.

He is from Coburg, which is a city in northern Bavaria. But the region is called Franconia. It would be similar to call Scots the English.
Frankfurt is at the other side of the country in a completely different federal state.

Yah, I am aware where what is, I just didn’t remember/read that he is directly from Coburg and always kinda assumed it was Frankfurt for whatever reason 🤷♂️

Yup! The lore that goes into everything whether it's backstory, tomes, or cosmetic descriptions/appearances is the only reason I still play Dead by Daylight after all these years. Not like I've been playing this game for 7 years because I'm passionate about fixing gens and getting tunneled and left on first hook to die from my solo queue teammates every other match.

I'm more concerned about how the cosmetics' flavor text has become blander than cardboard ever since Tools of Torment came out. We all have different priorities.

This has been adressed in the latest Reddit AMA and they have gone back to the older format (well or at least not as bad as it was couple weeks ago)

I don't browse Reddit so I know nothing of that. Older format? It's not a question of format, it's BHVR making cosmetic sets where Jake wears a coat and the description is "He wore a coat because it was cold." Cosmetics and Tomes are the only way to reflect these characters' personalities. Come on BHVR, you can do better, you HAVE done better for 6 years.
So, I hope you're right. As it stands now, the descriptions read like they got an AI writing them, there's no nuance or humor or anything. I don't even care that much about lore, but seeing an absence of flavor where it previously used to be has been bothering me.

With format I meant the way the texts are formatted (or something like that, I am not a native English speaker and sometimes I confuse myself)

The descriptions are still lacking imo. My favorite Yun-Jin torsos are the xmas sweater and the fireproof jacket because the sweater showed insight into what yun-jins personal life looked like with no friends or family at the holidays and the jacket was a callback to the members of no spin dying in a fire.
Again with poor élodie, most of her cosmetics are like:
"she put this on for a mission"
"she picked this up at a market"
"this jacket is in good shape"
It's pretty disappointing and I hope they are still planning to improve... I mean the plot with her and Felix still hasn't even been explored as far as I'm aware and that was one of the most intriguing character backstories/crossovers for me. Seems like they won't even get to be the main survivors in tomes either.

I'm not sure I understand what that means. It sounds like they just want to put all descriptions through standard templates so they can write them with less effort? But that will make everything sound boring, bland, and samey...like they do now. I don't like the sound of that.

I think that was the reason why they started to sound like that but now after they heard the feedback they went back from this approach. At least that’s how I understood this.
