Chucky is broken
Probably my least favorite character to face against. the height and perks with this character give him a huge advantage no matter what survivor perks you have. honestly is ruining the fun in this game and isn't worth wasting my time trying to outrun a toy you cant see or dodge.

I'm not sure if it's really a Chucky problem or a lack of wanting to learn problem. I've been playing Chucky quite a bit and certainly survivors have been able to keep track of me pretty well even with stealth activated. I'm unsure if it's a perk but I do know it's not impossible. Also his slice and dice is easier to dodge and miss rather than hit. It's genuinely nice to have a real stealth killer be added than it just be a side gimmick.
All in all, I feel like people often make things much more difficult than it actually is when it comes to countering killers. They're quicker to complain rather than learn, but they're also much more use to killers they can see which makes Chucky even more unique in that regard.

he needs to be nerfed, i honestly feel like they are going too.

He absolutely doesn’t need to be nerfed. He’s going to be, of course, BHVR can’t let their beautiful survivor children lose.

No, he doesn’t. You guys need to learn how to play against him. I’ve been playing a lot of Chucky and I’ve seen some very good survivors play against him just fine. He’s strong in chase but weak in other areas.

I mean, yeah, if you ignore every survivor nerf over the last few years and only acknowledge the killer nerfs, you're correct.

💯
…though it’s seemingly much more fun or perhaps empowering for ppl to just be delusional

I feel like a DbD boomer when I explain that survivors used to be able to tank a hit for free with Mettle of Man, Dead Hard to a pallet, and then use an instant heal syringe while gens were being done in 80 seconds. We've come a long way. And people still say wild stuff about BHVR only caring about the survivor experience. Just...wut?

Can we not? Can we just not call for nerfs to stuff literally one day after it is released?

Terrible survivor here, who just started playing again after a 2 month break. I really don't understand the complaints about Chucky. Slice and Dice is like any other charge up Killer power, align yourself correctly around tiles/prepare for it, and you can counter it. As for looping, he still has a red stain. You have to angle your camera lower to see it, but that's the only difference.
My main problem with him is bad teammates (of course), me getting mindgamed after multiple pallet fakes, and the fake footsteps mess me up more than actually facing him. Maybe I'm just happy to have him in DBD so I'm not frustrated, as I love his voicelines and the terror of playing against him, but he's not OP. Strong, yes. But you have to play against him long enough to learn his counters. I'm still learning, but able to put up a decent fight against him. If I can, most survivors can, cause I'm pretty terrible.

People were calling for his nerf 2 hours after release...
Nerf the hell out of him and youll get complaining that you never see him, like people do with xeno, singularity etc.

Well said. I’m not the best survivor player either and he has to work for a down, lol. I really don’t get the complaints about his height either. The only time I find him hard to see (not impossible) is in tall grass but that’s pretty much it.

I 100% agree. While his height gives him an advantage, it just means you have to pay more attention in game which adds a good scare factor. I really think he's the perfect balance of fun and lethal. And how can you get mad with those voicelines he has? I've thoroughly enjoyed my matches against the Chuck, win or lose.

Same and Tiffany is awesome as well!

"Oh no, the killer suddenly also has the third person view advantage and it's no longer survivor exclusive. Please nerf!" /S 😂

He's only strong because survivors refuse to think about the macro aspects of the game. He's slow and has nothing to help his mobility. Spread out and do gens. If he's not a good at chase, he can't keep up to the speed of the game. One extended chase and he's kind of hooped.

My problem with him is that he's way too small to loop him around many loops/tiles , so the only chance you have is to pre-drop like a bot but this doesn't help much cause he can scamper and hit you right after and get a free injure.
Moreover I think his S&D it's so buggy and busted expecially with his rope add-on, I've seen many hits that should not have been connected and it's really not fun.

The survivor nerfs were tiny and also came coupled with huge basekit buffs, but ok.

then don't dodge the doll power through it dh is super good against chucky, basically a free health state or a chase reset if they miss anyway

Some people are truly pitiful. It's best to ignore them.

See these kinds of posts every release then people learn an the complaining dies down.
Seen plenty of Chuckys lose give it time you'll be winning against some yourself

Survivors are overall much weaker than they were at launch or at almost any time in the past.
Let's compare survivor-related changes from 2019 (when I started playing, which is probably back far enough for you) to now:
Survivors:
+ Basekit 10s of endurance and 5% haste off unhook
+ 0.4 second "grace period" to early flashlight saves
- basekit medkit self-heal efficiency and speed reduced
- medkit syringe now has a delayed activation and heals one health state, not two
- styptic agent changed from an instant 1 health state to 5 seconds of endurance
- flashlight saves from lockers impossible now due to basekit killer blindness immunity when finding hiding survivor
- basekit generator repair time 80s->90s
- brand new part 25% progress -> 10% progress (you can argue this is not as bad because the progress can't regress)
- cannot sabotage trapper traps
- cannot "99" hooks to sabotage them instantly
- base medkit charges nerfed as well as base increases self-heal speed, plus charge add-ons nerfed
- hatch cannot spawn when more than one survivor remains, and requires an animation to open with key
- many maps have received reworks making them less survivor-sided
- repair speed debuff for multiple survivors on a generator increased
- duration of speed boost on hit reduced
- introduction of endgame collapse
What "huge basekit buffs" to survivor other than 10 seconds of endurance and the flashlight save change are we talking about again?
Keep in mind that on average killers also got plenty of basekit buffs from then until now, killers such as Doctor, Legion, Trapper, Clown, Wraith, Pig, Ghostface, etc have been buffed both with add-ons and their powers.
Plus: all killers got a basekit faster attack cooldown, basekit faster t2 and t3 bloodlust, basekit faster pallet/gen/wall kick.
I think it's pretty ridiculous to look at this game's history and conclude "DBD devs coddle survivor mains and never nerf them"
