I kinda miss dead hard as a killer player and survivor
before you get out your pitch forks and torches and call me a survivor main yes I play survivor like most people do it is my preferred roll but I also play a lot of killer aswell
chases used to be so fun and interactive now it’s just so boring chasing endless amounts of sprint burst and lithe gamers all the time pre dropping and slamming gens
on the survivor side it’s just beating a dead horse you use dead hard because it’s fun you don’t wanna use sprint burst and lithe cause it’s just boring gameplay for dh to not even work or the killer to just miss your dead hard entirely and you can’t even get it back

Yeah no I don't miss waiting for permission to hit a survivor or them getting a free pallet when they were otherwise dead.
Also DH is still the 3rd most popular exhaustion perks so it's not like it's actually gone.

I certainly miss doing a mind blowing mind game and being completely outplayed by a button....

I would seriously consider quitting the game if old DH came back
I never used it as survivor so that wouldn't affect me but going up against 4 DHs against a team that actually knew how to use it was torture and is something I would never ever want to have to deal with again.
It was strong enough that mind gaming a survivor who knew what they were doing wasn't even enough as you could make a move to catch the survivor dead to rights and they just said "LOL Just kidding!". Survivors who knew what they were doing with DH could extend chases to such an absurd degree and you couldn't even drop the chase because you knew they were just going to get DH back and start the cycle all over again if you didn't commit to them.
It's never going to happen thankfully but I would never play the game again (as killer at least) if they brought back old DH

The problem with old dead hard was people using it for DISTANCE, not the endurance, knowing that a chase would be extended because they used dead hard to a pallet and you as a killer couldn't do anything about it was infuriating

Yes because like all cats, they are jerks who like to mess with people
You should really specify that in your post then because I imagine most people are going to assume when you say "Old DH", you're talking about the original DH, not the half nerf that happened before the bigger nerf
1 -
Pretty sure theyre referring to the most recent prenerf DH, not the original one.
SB and Lithe practically do the exact same thing its just not as "in your face" as DH

Not a chance do I miss that. So unhealthy. Can’t believe it stayed around as long as it did like that. Still a top 10 meta perk even now.

I'm you can't bait distance. They could get free distance any time they wanted. It was entirely when they wanted to use it, not when you wanted to bait anything. Old DH wasn't used for endurance, it was used for free distance.

I legitimately choked on my water reading this line. I don't mean any ill intention, but do you not recall how survivors could just lunge to a pallet safely with no risk?
6 -
I loved the whole DH is bad because I suck at using it and its just a bit of distance and I frames its not that strong in practice dynamic that came with the perk.
But no I never want to see that perk like it was ever again

We are talking about old dead hard in this post. People used it for distance gain.

chases used to be so fun and interactive
yeah it was very interactive to nod in an attempt to bait dead hard

Bro... nobody who played killer against good or even moderately good survivors misses them having an extra health state multiple times every match

There was no "interaction," there was just coming around the corner of a loop to find a survivor that should have been close enough to hit was now 2 meters further ahead and was getting an extra loop out of the pallet.

I guess you are new to forums in general?
People sadly most often don't read whole or even any part of threads but instead comment straight to the original post.
This leads to sometimes having the same advice repeatedly given by a dozen of people.

Lithe plays are easy to spot, and also it means the survivor loops less optimally. You go around the loop one time, and if they try to slow vault the window you hit them, if they vault it immediately, they get their boost, but they only got one loop around anyway, so its not as much time lost as you think.
Sprint burst only adds 6 meters of distance in a chase, which amounts to around 10 seconds longer. Then you factor in that survivors often wait till the last second to use their sprint burst, and you don't end up adding anything to the chase. If they use the sprint burst "correctly" and prerun with it, then you just walk away somewhere else and come back 20 seconds later and they won't have it.

You're in the small minority if you actually miss old DH as killer. It was absurdly overpowered and miserable to play against.
