Solo Q mode should finally exist. It would fix most of the problems.
I'll start with a little preface. Everyone will agree that playing solo as a survivor is something in the language of eternal suffering. If anyone needs an explanation of why this is so, here are a few:
- SWEATY KILLERS;
- most people really don't understand what they're doing and why;
- few people understand that instead of cleansing totems, which will not lead to victory, they have to repair the damn generators;
- an incredible amount of trolls who are deliberately ruining the game;
- people are afraid to save other survivors from the hook because the sweaty killer immediately returns to the hook and there are 2 options: either he tunnels the one who was on the hook, or punishes the one who saved the person from the hook;
- if you are a solo survivor who is trying to play the game as it was intended, not hiding in lockers and not sitting in bushes but making generators and saving people from hooks, you will be the first who die most of the time;
- your chances of escaping are very low, 9/10 games you will be killed, while playing as a killer 9/10 games you will get your sweaty 4K (lovely balance).
The idea of a Solo Q mode
The normal game mode means that the survivor can freely invite friends and accordingly there is a huge difference in balance between a solo game and a game with a coordinated group of people. The solution is simple - just add a solo mode in which you cannot invite anyone and to register for a match you must be solo. Also considering the fact that such a game will be with completely random uncoordinated people, this mod will need some changes:
1. "Self care" needs buff, so that the player has the opportunity to take care of themselves, because not all survivors want to heal you, and the current speed and efficiency of this ability takes too much time.
2. The audio and visual feedback for the Killer when a Survivor is unhooked should be removed. It's like a red rag to a bull for the Killer, they immediately run to the unhooking location and pressure players. The Killer will still be able to track the unhooking using the game UI, but at least returning to the unhooking location will be a less obvious call to action. This will give the survivors at least some air.
3. No damn mori offering. I still think mori is OP and the fact that some stupid offering can change the gameplay so much is complete bs, but that's a topic for a separate thread. Let's be honest, random people are unlikely to save you from death, it happens incredibly rarely. But at least it should be possible, and as we know, just the presence of mori deprives survivors of the ability to make a save using a flashlight (lightborne is also OP), body blocking or sabotage. This requires coordination, so mori in this situation is just another advantage for killers.
And ofc mori for the last survivor should'nt exist.There are many reasons for this and it is better to talk about it in a separate thread.
4. This is obvious, but for some reason it's still not implemented in the game - a hint during loading something like "Reparing generators is the best way to escape". Yeah, not everyone knows that. I don't understand what people expect who don't do gens and instead just walk around the map, open chests and clean totems.
Why is this important?
When playing as a killer, you really do face a big difference when playing against a random group of survivors or a coordinated discord group. If you're like me, not a sweaty but fair killer, you'll likely get cooked and face toxicity and bullying. For a solo survivor, the experience is even worse because you are completely alone, your group can completely ignore you and on top of all this, you get the sweatiest killer who thinks he is playing in a world tournament. So the solo mode will improve the gaming experience not only for survivors, but also for killers. And leave the normal mode for the self-proclaimed cyber-sportsman on both sides, let the sweaty ones fight the same sweaty ones like themselves. And in case the sweaty killer wants to punish random people in solo mode, some balance changes are needed for that.

I have feeling this would screw matchmaking a lot…
How many killers would willingly go play, if they knew most of their games are going to be against SWF?
It wouldn't make soloQ better anyway, it would be still bad and killers would abuse the fact everyone is soloQ with perks/killers.
Just create soloQ improvements to normal gamemode, it's not that difficult:
- show other survivors loadouts in game
- some basic chat wheel system
- show aura of survivors you are not in party with while there is a hooked survivor

Lmao. Knowing that you as an assassin will play against SWF does not change anything. Because most killers already think so and build the most sweaty and effective build.
1 -
- Make Bond, Empathy, Kindred all base game features rework the perks to do something else.
- As soon as the killer is revealed its revealed to all players
- Anti-camp bar feature is shown to all players
- Heartbeat detector is when a killer is close by (not in stealth mode) indicator is shown by all players in an icon
4 -
Thinking and knowing is very different…
You really think those killers won't use exactly same builds and just go to stomp soloQ? Little bit naive, no?
This would make the game worse for everyone imo. There are definetly better things to do for soloQ.2 -
Then make ur own thread and say abt these "better things". Cus I play 99% of the time my solo q as a surv so I have some exp and based on this experience I made this thread.

Even swf has to waste time and roughly indicate where the killer is
Giving every survivor a grenade launcher is not a solution1 -
If your struggling on hook you are not wasting time relaying the killer location

I have a better idea: STOP buffing already broken killers BHVR then maybe solo q survivors will have more of a chance to escape.
2 -
No lets punish solo Q by introducing mechanics for self-mending instead of on 2nd hit, not co-ordinating well enough with EMPS, letting myers tier bomb, Allowing nemesis to tier up off one survivor more easily, Buffing hard-to-cleanse hex builds with pentimento, not showing anti-camp meter, not telling each other what perks you have.
The list goes on and on.1 -
Man I wish we could have such a mode. As a killer I really have no desire to play with survivor friends. If I know someone is with a friend I might as well just DC it is not fair whatsoever and same goes for the survivors they should be suffering because stupid survivor friends who abuse the power of super coordination force killer buffs and the killers to become toxic IT SUCKS A LOT . I literally just had a game as hag and these two survivors were friends and at endgame chat I accused them and they kept denying they are not friends. Like bruh they also kept commenting how its not p2win to have a perk that you have to buy or pray to the stupid shrine that it shows up. Like bruh survivor friends sure suck a lot. At least they can admit I am right. I was right that these guys were survivor friends. They won just because they had half the team coordinated? And they say its not cheating. It is literally cheating to know half the game or most of the game?

Nice reverse psychology you're asking for. If you can't find out if they are SWF before hand then ask for the opposite and guarantee the lobby is Solo players. No thanks.

Around half of all survs in total are in a two-man SWF, with trios and quads far less common. This suggestion would cripple queue times for everyone, and SWF would likely never get a match again.

issue with change #2 is wall-hack at loops. I agree with all your changes except #2. BVHR hasn't shown to equalize soloq to swf so it is unlikely anything will change.
