Im tired of waiting survs to leave the match...

Seriously, this is annoying…
I dont waste my time going to the gates to do nothing besides watching teabags, the devs must do something about it.
Survs complain about killers letting them to die on the floor but killers suffer the same thing EVERY SINGLE MATCH they dont kill at least 3.

A few solutions could be ONE of those:
1 - Alucard's shield baseline for all killers. (kinda fun for everyone)
2 - If a surv get hit inside the gate area the exit closes for that surv for 5s. (like the Houndmaster).
3 - Put an option to end the game for the killer to use, just like they can open the gates themselves.

If the timer runs out, the survivors get sacrificed to the entity. If you let the survivors bleed out, it’s different.

If the gate gets blocked when you hit a survivor while running in the gate, how do you account for normal gameplay, where a killer tries to hit the survivor on the way out?

Imo its fine that you need to force the survivor out. It can be annoying, but other options could hinder the normal gameplay.

@joeyspeehole youre wrong. Slugging and waiting to leave is pretty similar. If you wait for some minutes, its over and both are annoying. Yh you can end it easier as killer, but if survivor want they can just wait hidden next to the exit.

Well, let them stand there at the exit gate all day if that's what they want. They are wasting their own time too, and for nothing if you never show up to watch them leave.

Go around the map, break any walls you can find, any dropped pallet that's still lying around, or just find a nice, comfy spot to afk in until the timer is up.

Yh thats why i said they need to hide next to the exit gate to make it more similar.

I guess, earning little bp is a viable activity for some, but i dont see the point in it.

Your problem on that point is that survivors never left quick as long as I play (roughly 21), they almost always stay in the gate to taunt the killer especially with dh. It's literally so normal that survivors don't leave instantly and dh out of the game, that I mindgame dh when they want to give me a hit lol.

That was way before slugging was such a big thing, especially entire bleedouts.

Well but I agree forcing them out is the fastest and least annoying way for now.

There are several viable options to fix the issue:

    • Reduce the EGC timer (or speed it up as soon as all remaining survivors are within the gates, so they have no choice but to leave unless they want to get devoured by the Entity).
    • Remove the ability to 99% exit gates — make them regress as soon as survivor stops interacting with them.
    • Generate new objectives for the Killer — like interacting with glyphs — to occupy their time and let them comfortably ignore the tbaggers at the exit gate.

Houndmaster Is the best killer to sort these morons out. If snug catches you at the exit gate, even if you are at full health, you're dead.

That's what keeps me so addicted to this killer, each gate kill is more satisfying that the last lol

I used to be the same way bro, not wanting to give survivors the satisfaction. Just go over there and force them out. You become numb to the teabags at some point. If you like BP, at least you get a little extra by giving them a whack on the butt before they leave.

As others have said, forcing them out is always an option.

It depends on the Killer, but I'll either find somewhere to practice my power if I don't feel like getting bagged at today (like a neat structure where I can vault a bunch of windows as Legion) or I'll go to the gate to see if I can get at least one of them for a funny you should have just left moment. Deathslinger is quite a good choice for this.

It also helps to remind yourself that a lot of the player base are barely out of their teens and they act like it. It still kinda stinks, but eventually you just don't care about this sort of thing.

You have control over both situations.

You can push them out if they want to taunt you.

You decide when to hook them if they're slugged.

I know it's annoying to get taunted, but then again, why do you care that some nobody losers are being twerps? Don't join their ranks, be better than these numbskulls. Kicking them out shouldn't take long at all.

If it's humiliation you dread, then all I can say is: Get better.

While I don't take issue with this like the OP does I'm not a big fan of the "force them out" retort. They want you to do that just so you can see their butt dance. I won't give them the satisfaction. I'm quite happy to walk around letting them waste time doing their dancing that I'll never see.

It would be funny if there was a "yeet action" If all survivors are in the exit area the killer can press a button an all survivors get flung out the exit.

If the survivors are trying to waste the killer’s time, then they won’t be waiting at the exit gates. They will be hiding somewhere else on the map for most of the EGC, so that the killer can’t easily push them out of the game.

I'd say the issue isn't not being able to do anything about it, or even the concept of staying the game in and of itself, but rather Killer players having to either sit there and waste their time, or be forced to partake in a humiliation ritual. Not great.

I'd argue it's similar to sticking up your middle finger, as in essence the same meaning is attached to both gestures, despite the gestures in and of themselves having no meaning. I personally don't really think your argument holds up here but I'm curious to hear your thoughts.

I generally take this time to get my glyph challenges. I found very considerate the Kate that wanted to teabag me but ended up letting me get all my green glyphs.

Bro its your own issue for not going to the exit gate to force them out, expecting them to just leave. There are things we can do to get points during end game collapses, it's on you for not finishing the game. But you choosing to slug someone for 4 minutes is toxic and wasting someones time.

I mean, if someone decides to flip the bird in RL I would still see this as different then a random person on the internet I have seen in a game for 10 minutes and will most likely not even see again (or dont remember again) spamming the crouch-Button.

It is your decision to take it personal.

  • MechWarrior3

You cant always force them out. Sometimes they are just hiding at endgame collapse wasting everyone's time. So that isnt always an option. Also from my experience I have downed a survivor only to have to go for another survivor trying to get the save.

The survivor crawls to another country away from their teammates and then complains about not getting hooked. This happens too often.

It's your own issue if you don't alt tabbed out while slugged.

If you want to waste time, don't complain when you get your own time wasted.

I would understand if they wanted to take hits for additional BP, but the kind that waits and just leave when you get nearby is annoying for sure.

When survivors manage to win against me, I usually just start to do things on second monitor. If they want to waste their time, they are free to do so.

I’d say these aren’t really comparable since you can force the survivors out while survivors can’t force you to hook them or bleed out faster, but I would have no qualms with the killer being able to, say, go to the basement and start a prompt to “accept entity’s punishment” or whatever and force escape all survivors.

Yes, survivors standing in the exit gate is annoying and BM.

It's comparable to slugging, but there are reasons its not quite as bad.

1: Killer has a way to end it that also rewards BP

2: Time it can last is different

3: Survivors could just wait farther away from the gate if there was a push out mechanic.

4: While many solutions have been proposed for slugging for the 4k or forced bleedouts to BM (the easiest being a quickened bleedout / give up option), solutions to survivors standing in the exit gate are harder to come by. Example: I have never tbagged a killer, but I've been in situations standing in the exit gate, waiting to body block for a survivor, and the other survivors where just in the other gate waiting for me. Until all alive survivors are in the exit gate area, there's lots of reasons to remain in the exit gate that aren't BM.

For the solutions the OP offered:

1: Alucard's Shield - If every killer had some way to make the exit gates more interesting, I'd be all for it, but just basekit would be a pretty big buff. I'd definitely take it though but it would probably need to come with some larger balance changes.

2: Block the gates - this moves the goal post on the line the survivor need to be at. You also have a situation where the killer is going to catch the survivor by the gate, so the survivor stops farther away from the gate so that they can get hit and run to the gate without it blocking. You probably get way more BM there and still the same time waste.

3: Killer can end the game - I'd be fine with this. Something like 'if the gens have been powered and the killer stands still for 20 seconds, all the remaining survivors auto escape'. However, I don't think BHVR would ever do something like this as they always want the game to come to a conclusion with either an escape or a death.

Many people would also be annoyed because it makes archives harder.

Look, now you're just making assumptions because you completely disagree with my personal experiences as a killer. Do I have an issue shoving them out the gate? No…Will they often just go and hide at EGC just to waste time…Yes. You cannot get a kill if they are playing hide and go seek tip toe through the fields.

Lets be real. As for the OG - just shove them out.

Make it only work if they are hanging around the gate for some number of seconds. If a survivor is inside the gate for say 8 seconds, and gets hit by the killer, it should block the gate. This wouldn't impact normal gameplay, because it only takes you 3 seconds to leave from the entrance of the gate.
