Genrush nerf when?

Im NOT reading allat. But from the first few sentences i could tell you also dk how the game works.
As i have said to Pulsar and basically everyone else in this discussion agrees w/ me, you cannot defend gens at all. In that exact match, yes i had no gen perks, but i shouldn't need gen perks to stop gens from being done in less than 5 minutes. I can understand losing kills but getting low stages is ridiculous.
Whatever you do, whoever you chase, you WILL be wasting time. Theres no machanics in place, or any required secondary objectives gens from flying, thus deadlock imo should at least be basekit until they revisit the idea of missing parts and gas for gens.

Have you tried Civ?

C
Corrupt isn't gonna stop a team like this, its not hard to just stealth it out. Thats how competitive players used to play some years back. And it is a pretty good and annoying strategy, AND arguably can make things worse if they all slowly split up across to 4 different gens. The point tho is not to run a perk, its that u shouldn't need perks to stop the game from ending so fast

Civ is a game where you build civilizations. It’s super chill and low maintenance. You’re too young to get the reference. Let me explain.
A long time ago when survivor mains complained about ######### things killers were doing—sorta like now—a dev told survivor players on a stream to go play another game: Civ. I believe he is no longer with BHVR; I think he was fired in fact, but he gave that advice because in his mind it was wiser to tell his customers to buy a different product if they don’t like his rather than fix his product. Anyway, I bring it up because you seem to be struggling a lot with this game. Maybe you’d prefer something less cerebral.

So what can be done now with the game where it is and mechanics available???

When tunneling and camping get fixed then sure. As of now though, what do you expect survivors to do?

The game has never been so easy for killer. Just play as Blight, use the sweatiest perks, and get 4ks effortlessly almost every time.

Ur comment isn't 30 seconds icl. Thats more like 7-8 minutes. Like how long do u spend writing all of that? No ones gonna care to read ur opinion if it looks like ur just saying what comes to mind in the moment

Tunneling and camping is an issue but swfs can make tunneling very hard and almost impossible with perks like ftp and decisive. All it takes is good comms and u get completely bodyblocked in some cases
0 -
Thats the problem, u shouldn't have to rely on a killer power and perks to prevent gens from being done so fast. A new machanic or some perks need to be basekit

Brutal Streght in 2025, It's not good anymore, it needs a buff

Mb i replied to the wrong one, i was thinking abt @AmpersandUnderscore. Also what im doing is not writing a novel on dbd forums that no ones gonna read cus they're here to just post quick opinions and needed thoughts. Also for the record, Zarr did write like a dozen paragraphs and didn't know the facts as kinda obvious in the first few sentences

I agree fully

If any killer could prevent gens from being done fast WITHOUT using their power and WITHOUT using their perks, how do you expect survivors to win if the killers actually did try to use everything?
Like, a new mechanic or basekit perk will not stop people from using Quad slowdown builds and S tier killers, it will make them even more oppresive.

Killers arent supposed to STOP gens. Thats how the game works.

And like I said to you, and basically everyone else in this discussion agreed with me, was that your idea was ridiculous.
You have no stall perks; you have no power. You want gens to simply not be done so that you can continue your power fantasy. Games are supposed to be fun for both sides, just because you handicap yourself does not mean the game is Survivor-sided.
You are also not as good as you think. I imagine I could do better, and I've not played in 9 months.

U two aren't very far in line no offense

Zarr is probably #1 or #2 on the Forums in terms of actually understanding the game
2 -
Well he somehow doesn't know how Houndmaster works so thats pr hard to believe

First off, Zarr isn't even in this thread.
Second off, you don't even know if they know how HM works because you, by your own admission, didn't read past the first sentence. "I'm not reading all that"
It's a Forum, people are going to post replies that you need to read. Get used to it.

Gen Rushing is a braindead strategy that needs no skill to be pulled.
This is also true to Tunneling/Camping. Both these design flaws walk hand to hand/one leads to the other.
Both should be eliminated.0 -
Its exactly why so many people switch to competitive dbd. Competitive ruleset makers at least try to make an effort to make the game balanced.
I always thought anti tunnel after unhooks should've been 10-15 seconds of invincibility and no collision, which would be lost after performing any action, similar to Vecna's special items.
For anti gen rush, they need to revisit the gasoline harvest machanic or make bnp's a findable part in trials that are required to progress a gen past a certain point, while making the gens not fall under a certain total repair percentage permanently. It could at least make the game a little more scary since you would need to likely cross paths with the killer in your journey to find parts. Theres just so much imagination that Bhvr can put into this game to make it cooler and more fair on both sides

Competitive can be quite a joke since it allow players to exploit bugs (techs), but I agree with your point.
Survs not being able to repeat perks and etc would make this game SO MUCH BETTER.
Also this is not the first time I see this idea of "generator stages/sections".
This along with survs needing to get fuel, parts or whatever would be awesome and the lack of it (native 2nd objectives to survs) is that killers with movement tools or TPs have a better time in this game.0 -
Maybe make the current one basekit?
