Asking BHVR for African servers every day until we get them! (Day 1)
Good day, BHVR!
I've asked this before, but I’m not giving up—I’ll be asking every day from now on. There are less popular games with African servers, and South Africa already has AWS and Google Cloud servers that you could use. The infrastructure is there; we just need you to make the move!
Dead by Daylight has a passionate player base in Africa, but we’re stuck dealing with high ping (think 200 plus) because there are no local servers and our closest server is Frankfurt (which is almost 13,000km away!). Meanwhile, other games—some with fewer players than DBD—have already invested in African servers. It’s time for DBD to do the same!
I’ll be here every day until we get them.

Seconding this, BHVR sorely needs to invest more in their servers. The community deserves better!

People in Africa having to connect to Frankfurt and deal with unplayable levels of ping is unacceptable. I hope BHVR listens to your plea, sincerely.

High ping doesn’t just hurt killers—it’s a massive disadvantage for survivors too. Fast vault? Too slow. Dead Hard? Pressed it, but the server disagrees. Dodging a hit? Guess what, you already got hit a second ago. Playing survivor shouldn’t feel like fighting the game itself.
African players deserve fair servers, just like everyone else. BHVR, the infrastructure is here—let’s make it happen. See you tomorrow! (This is Day 5 btw)

I'll just straight up ask if you think it's acceptable that so many of your players have 200+ ping, purely because you don't have servers for them?
It seems unacceptable to me!

A full week of asking, and we’re still here! African players just want the same fair experience as everyone else. Right now, we’re playing at a disadvantage—missing hits, getting unfairly accused, and struggling with ping that ruins clutch moments.
The infrastructure is already in place with AWS and Google Cloud servers in South Africa. Other games have done it—so why not DBD?

Thank you, Retro_Gamer for the support! You're totally right, it's not just Africa but other regions too! I can obviously only speak for Africa since that's where I live, but BHVR should really have a look at all their regions and servers and do something to help out their players who don't have their own servers.

Take a look at these posts—players from all over asking for African servers in Dead by Daylight, dating all the way back to 2019. From high ping to unfair gameplay, we’ve all been facing the same issues for years.
We love this game, but we deserve a fair experience too. The infrastructure is already in place—AWS and Google Cloud servers are here. Other games have made it happen, so why can’t DBD?

Hey I didn't know you were doing this im from SA too and I like your drive servers for us would be so nice I used to play with south africans all the time during the P2P days green bar ping was so good man

Fellow South African DBD'er here. I strongly agree, we need at least AN AFRICAN SERVER.

second this too, I live on an island near South Africa, it will be beneficial for our community too! We will have 40 ms (my partner plays COD on a South African server, I’m jealous, lol)
