2000ms ping limit makes me angry!
With players from russia, saudi arabia and south africa playing on EU servers its not uncommon to face a killer with red ping. That means that killer has at least 300ms ping.
These killers love to play high mobility killer like nurse, blight or wesker to fully take advantage of their high ping. Until you can react to their actions, you already dead on their screens.
And now the point that makes me really angry. BHVR could simply set the ping limit to 300ms to allow a barely tolerable gaming experience for all players. no, on the contrary, the killer's ping indicator is even removed from the lobby, so that you only notice in the game how bad the killer's ping is.
so i want to say to the person at BHVR who made this decision. it's your fault that many players are regularly furious and lose interest in the game.

To be fair, those players might not have any servers nearby. Dedicated servers are kinda at fault here. When the game was still p2p, you could see the killers ping in the lobby and dodge accordingly. But now, everyone can have a bad ping, based on location to the servers. Hell, last match i had 2 teammates with a constant red bar next to their names.
You can´t blame the players for trying to play with whats available.

i dont blame the players. i only blame BHVR. there are AWS locations in the middle east and south africa they could use for dedicated servers but they even decided to remove the middle east server. the south african community trieds since years to get their own server.

Good point. We either need more servers, so everyone has a decent ping. Or some sort of hybrid system. Where people can choose to either play on the nearest server or make a p2p match (maybe when the system detects a high ping).
Also a lobby ping indicator. I really don´t know why that was removed.

Couldn't agree more. At least they could show the killers' ping as well. Why do it for survivors but not for the killer? Same for people VPN-ing, switching lag, and so on. It's beyond frustrating to be matched up against them because it doesn't matter how you play.

'so and now this thread can be moved back to feedback where it dies like all other contributions to this topic' is definitely what will happen. Once everyone starts using a VPN they MIGHT do something but even now, as prices get lower than ever, they haven't attempted anything to counter it.

and judging by the sheer amount of people I get from the Middle East and northern Africa regions it's not as if there's a lack of people....

There needs to be a ping limit of 120ms. I'm tired of having games with people that have a consistent 120ms+ and 200ms with spikes. Atleast for north american servers anyway.

A ping limit of 120ms would be a dream. to play the game as it is meant to be played and not to predrop pallets because the red ping killer has a delay of over half a second.
players from south africa on the other hand need to play with a ping of at least 180ms as they simply live on the other side of the world.

This. It's ridiculous. I've a ping of a solid 20ms. There needs to be a limit cap.

Now it's the same with all feedback threads about this ping problem. There is no discussion because everyone agrees and the tread dies.

True. And devs just ignore this. Also during this event - 120ms ping kinda got into the norm. I had like 3-4 farming killers in a row during this time, because strangely they kinda understood that it's not fair if they can get hatchet hit when survivor is 4m behind the corner (yes, sometimes you get lucky on killers that don't want to 4K no matter what. It's rare, but it happens)...
