How do I make a survivor to drop a canister?
A little spoiler alert, because of some unknown bug I've been able to take a peek into lvl 3 tome of the blood mood event, and I found a challenge which require a killer to kick a canister (I don't remember how much times).
Through out more than 10 matches on this event, I've seen a dropped canister only once, and it was not even because I did something - survivor dropped it.
By any chance - can killer MAKE survivor drop it? Franklins? Some bloodmoon game mechanic that I'm not aware of?
Or should I ask them nicely to drop it for me?
Edit: I'm so sorry, seems like I mistaken there is no such challenge.

Pretty sure you don't. The survivor has to put it down voluntarily, which they have no incentive to do given that the canister leaks until it totally disappears when it's on the ground.
I've been putting down canisters for killers. Very few kick them. Even when I point at the canister, the killer just seems confused.

I was wondering this myself, I would like to make survivors drop it because kicking the canister gives like 2500 points

I dont believe this is a bug, and theres no such challenge as kicking a canister only kicking blood gens.The "bug" is done by going in the cosmetics store from the event and then clicking on the traspper mask cosmetic or the survivor cosmetic, which reveals the level 3 tome.
if you do it with the weapon skin for the trapper and the pants for the survivor you go to the 2nd tome level.
Plus ive tested with franklins, it does not drop the canister only the item they hold like a flashlight or the new map item, and you can see them holding it after hitting them.

You can take a peek at any lvl of an evt tome by simply selecting a reward from it and pressing the correspondent button to "go to the evt tome".
BUT something different happened with my friend. He is doing the challenges from lvl 2.
How? He said he accidentally pressed RB to go to the Current Tome tab the exact moment he was getting the lvl 1 rewards (clicking on the "Eye" at the end of the path) and this somehow let him go to the lvl 2, select the challenges and indeed complete them.0 -
I mean I can start filling some up a little bit and then just putting them down for you guys if that helps.

Dude, now I really don't see this challenge. I could swear yesterday I was seeing this challenge near the end of the lvl 3.

Np dude! Remember you can do this "bug" for every event, i did it before the last tome of anguish came out so remember from now on that you can check the tome challenges. :)

I dont think youre supposed to be able to do them just take a peek at them or even just hover over them

Yeah, I think you're right. Only up to survivor player to drop it, but… Something tells me there is no need for them to drop it.
As a killer you can't really "communicate" for survivor to drop it, they would not understand what you want from them.

It was yesterday, I noticed that I was able to click on any of them freely, I completed the first lvl, then went for the next one, did 4 of them in lvl 2 and went to sleep.
Today I thought I caught a same bug again, I've been able to take a peek but couldn't click on the challenges.

Hey all, sorry for the misinformation around this one - Killers DO NOT make the Survivors drop the cannister on a hit, the design was changed shortly before the Event started and unfortunately this asset slipped through without being adjusted with the correct information. We're really sorry for the confusion that this has caused.

Only way to encourage the dropping of cans is to make a healthy survivor want to use stealth. Maybe expose perk like Starstruck.
