This needs to be a feature in Dead by Daylight

So you want killers to have easier time to abuse high ping.

Or it could be survivor exclusive only

How exactly does a killer "abuses" high ping and a survivor can not?

I think it is a decent idea but they probably don't want to reveal that to the playerbase because then they would have to show us that most of their servers are trash

Because the hit validations are killer-sided, I've even seen few hypocrites who downgrades their internet just for to abuse this thing in this game

Yes, that is calles lag-switching or ping spoofing. Something I have seen survivors doing too.
I have thrown hatches through the head of survivors and it didn't count because of their lag so I am not very convinced about the hit validation thing-2 -

What I find crazy about these comments is that this would be a positive change for the game and all anyone could bring up is something negative.
I get into a lot of matches where my ping goes from 40 to 65, or 60 to 75, or 64 to 100+ and I cannot even play properly because of that. I could time a Dead Hard perfectly and due to the delay, I get hit anyway.
High ping will negatively impact the experience for anyone that use something that requires precise timing.
I do not want to be going into matches on the survivor side or the killer side with high ping.
Other games have had the option to choose a server region since 2017 if not sooner and there is no excuse to not have that option in Dead by Daylight in 2025.
Just about every other multiplayer online game has this as an option.
Some of you will probably say just get a better internet, but that's the thing, I do have a good internet.
I literally have 1GB of Download Speed and 50-60 Upload Speed and I still get a lot of matches with high ping.
When I jump on other games, I can choose my server, and I never get any matches with high ping, and I can play properly due to that.
All this discussion of high and low ping being abusable is irrelevant to me because most people will not be doing that.
If a killer were to try this, it would not be very smart of them considering the fact that you will have a very low ping and everything you do in the match will respond quicker.0 -
Ping in dbd is killer-favorable. Higher ping leads to killers being able to hit from further and further away.
If you want an especially egregious example, try to find a wesker player that's not from your region and get them to 1v1 you. It'll show you how beneficial a killer being laggy can be.

it would be nice as a feature honestly, but first they need to give us better netcode/servers, I don't know what the tick rate is for them but I've heard it's really low for a multiplayer game.
