Match search time in normal mode
For the umpteenth time, I notice that as soon as a new mode appears in the game, the search breaks down in the usual way.
The game turns 9 years old this year, but the developers still haven't fixed similar problems that make players wait longer for the killers than the survivors.
The game has tens of thousands of players on Steam alone. I do not believe that it is impossible to quickly find a lobby with such an online service.
Please fix the match selection so that it works normally in all modes.

The total amount of players is not what makes queue times long, it's the ratio between survivors and killers. You need 4 survivors for every one killer, and if there's an imbalance in that, one side will have longer queues. The game could have a million players, but if the majority is playing killer, then queues will still be long for killer.

Many people that play survivor are drawn to 2vs8 killers, because of the novelty and the fact that you can play with a buddy killer together. That's why queue times for killers increase during 2vs8.

Is that why players in normal mode should expect it too? It shouldn't work like that.

As far as I know, most of the players in this game prefer to play as survivors.

the reason why it takes so long is as stated above, is there is an off balance of players in each role to find a lobby cuz as the longer your search takes in the regular 1v4, the larger the MMR difference expands.
As for the "the game's been out for 9 years and they haven't found a fix for this yet" they LITERALLY only introduced alternate game modes last year

MMR does not work. Generally.

in the sense of BHVR's definition and quality of MMR, yes… in the sense of ACTUAL MMR… no
