Offerings overhaul ideas
Since I‘ve started playing offerings haven‘t gotten any real changes to spice up the gameplay loop of dbd, so I thought I make some suggestions on what I would like to see coming to the game. There are also a lot of offerings that you will most likely never ever use, which could be retired to make space for new stuff.
Changes to existing offerings
Killer/ Survivor
- Luck affects items in chests and allows to find up to two addons on items with a certain chance.
- Retire clear reagent offering.
- Increase the amount of fog on maps (Green fog bottle basekit).
- Fog offerings stack further than the value of the purple fog offering.
- Retire single blood point category offerings. (Blossom offerings for survivors - wreath offerings for killers).
- Reduce the rarity of Bound Envelope, Sealed Envelope and Hollow Shell by one tier and double their bonuses from 25% to 50%.
- Reduce the rarity of bloody party streamers to green.
- Increase the amount of chests spawning on each map to 4 (the one chest offering basekit).
Survivor
- Retire luck offerings that only affect one person.
- Shroud offerings:
- 🟣“Shroud of union“ becomes „Shroud of separation“: Causes all Survivors to spawn separately in different locations as far away from one another.
- 🟢“Shroud of binding“ becomes „Shroud of unbinding“: Causes you to spawn alone as far away from your teammates as possible.
- Chest offerings show the aura of chests to all survivors at the start of the trial.
Killer
- „Shroud of separation“ becomes „Shroud of (choose a name)“: All survivors spawn in a 32-40 meter proximity to the killer at the start of the trial.
- Retire mouldy oak and rotten oak offering.
- Reduce rarity of putrid oak offering to blue.
New offerings
Survivors/killer
- 🟢Get a random fifth perk, but two of your perks are random as well.
- 🟢Get a random third addon, but both of your addons are random as well.
Killer
- 🟣Spawn a second basement. (Hidden offering)
- 🟣Spawn 4 more chests in the trial, but the items in them only have 50% of their charges (hidden offering)
Survivor
- 🟣Remove one basement.
- ⚪️You can‘t get morried.
- 🔴Hatch spawns when only two survivors are alive and 3-4 gens were done. Both survivors can leave through the hatch.
- 🟢In the basement 2 chests spawn with purple/iri items with 2 random addons. (Hidden offering)
- ⚪️„Shroud of the fearless“: Causes you to spawn in the killer’s terror radius. (Hidden offering).
General offering change
- Offerings are shared between all characters and between killers and survivors. Offerings that aren‘t available for the other side can‘t be equipped by the other side.

These would be nice changes. Not sure about the new offerings, but the changes to the existing ones would be nice.

About which offerings are you unsure? Is would like to hear your concerns.

The second basement/remove basement ones seem a bit too weird, and maybe OP.
Imagine a two basement situation with Trapper. I feel like keeping one would be fine.
Chests should have good loot in them in general. I feel like they should have made Plunderer's or Ace in the Hole basekit a long time ago.

I thought two basements and having no basement could spice things up. Maybe it’s a bit weird.
I don‘t think trapper can occupy two basements. He doesn‘t have enough traps to do it effectively and isn‘t good enough at traversing the map.
Agree with ace in the whole should become basekit and having better items in chests. I‘m basically asking for the same thing with the luck changes. Do you mention this because of the one new killer offering, that doesn‘t have many charges?
