SUMMARY OF THE ISSUE: machine learning/help wanted bugged on final generator
PLATFORM: All platforms.
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW THE ISSUE OCCURED:
- compromise one of the last three generators with help wanted or machine learning.
- the final generator completes. it is not the compromised gen.
- activation sound of help wanted/machine learning sounds but the perk does not activate.
please keep in mind that machine learning used to activate regardless of which of the final three generators were compromised as—by game technicality—all three generators complete upon completion of the final generator.
if it has been changed to only activate upon the generator that was kicked, then the bug is actually that the sound of the perk activates and it shouldn't be playing at all.
basically: if sound plays, the perk should activate OR the sound should not be activating at all unless final generator completed was the compromised one.
VIDEO: i can go dig up old videos as necessary of it working regardless of which final gen was kicked (hell, even in otz's last hardcore survivor video, he mentioned that machine learning activates regardless of which final gen they complete).

this has been bugged since Help Wanted came out. I don't know if it's now working as intended as the last gen to be kicked has to actually activate. I did always think it was strange that it didn't matter which of the 3 gens were kicked it would activate anyway. But I understand why it worked because technically all gens get "finished" at end game. would love to have a dev chime in on this.

i think it was bugged for a bit before help wanted (like around one of the patches prior to fnaf ptb), tbh, but i have time blindness like whoah, lmao. honestly, one of the best parts of machine learning was that you were guaranteed that last activation when someone completed one of the final three generators. if it isn't meant to work that way anymore, sure, but please get rid of the sound of it activating. breaks my heart every time, i just want last minute jump scares and i get none :(
