Shattered Hope as Basekit (Suggestion)
My idea is to make Shattered Hope a basekit feature. This would be a meaningful adjustment for Killer gameplay, as it would make powerful boon combinations somewhat counterable.
Omega Boons: I mean stacked boon perks such as Exponential and Shadow Step.
The core issue is that these combinations can feel nearly uncounterable on indoor maps, and Survivors especially in SWFs often ABUSE such combinations, it feels like almost an exploit when they are spamming the boons over and over.
This is particularly punishing for newer Killers who struggle to locate blessed totems, and even for experienced players, snuffing multiple boons represents a significant time investment.
My suggestion is to move Shattered Hope to basekit with a small buff (12-second aura reading on survivors after snuffing boons)
I also recommend keeping Shattered Hope as a perk, but reworking it so that snuffing a boon inflicts Blindness and Exhaustion for 30 seconds on all Survivors within its range.
Additionally, the Survivor who placed the boon would be unable to bless any totem for the next 60 seconds.

Ah yes give survivor more reason to only focus on generators.
Most boons are very weak and not worth the investment.

The perk itself is arguably useful on high-mobility killers to counter players who spam powerful boon combinations, but making it basekit should have been implemented a long time ago.
Hex totems are cleansed instantly, so why do boons have such a significant unfair and unpunishable advantage over them?
This seems extremely survivor-sided to me.

You haven't read a single word i said.
I hope you go against 4 man SWF with omega boons and then come back and say again how useless they are.
Oh kiddo, you will be suprised how cracked and easy to abuse that is.Most boons are very weak and not worth the investment.-7 -
Maybe the anonymous downvoters will speak instead of being a downvote braindeads without a single argument speaking what i said wrong here ? Ofc no one has argument because everyone here is a survmain.

make it basekit but there's no need for a free 12 second aura read, give it to shattered hope if it stays around or even just whoever blessed the totem, but someone in solo q should not be punished like that because their teammate wants to get value while getting their Yoichi adept

Now, I agree that Shattered Hope should be basekit, BUT:
- No basekit aura reading
- Rework the perk entirely
- Boons should recieve buffs, both across the board and specifcally to the weaker ones (Illumination, Dark Theory)
I actually created a post some time ago about this very topic. Here.

We've made that suggestion long ago when the perk first came out and it's still one of the most worthless killer perks.

then we as survivors get basekit unbreakable then right? You can hear boons. We cannot hear hex totems. Shadow step is huge rn bc of all the aura perks and expo is being used bc killers love to slug for a 4k even at 5 gens. Now that we are fighting back with totems and ways to counter these playstyles now you want a baskit perk? I don’t think it’ll happen bud.

That's the part that I don't think is going to work.
If you make these perks default to one-and-done, then the power of these perks needs to be really high to compensate. Historically, high investment, high reward perks just don't sit well with the community.

Just rework the perk and make it so you can kick dull and boon totems
Make it so if you are within 24 meters of a totem that got kicked you get exposed for 30 seconds

Powerfull and boons shouldn’t be in the same sentence.

Well, all perks with a degree of power don't sit well with the community, so….. I think they would get over it. Eventually.
As for the reward having to be really high, we could get a perk that would allow a totem to be rebuilt, if the risk/reward scale is too wonky.

But then we're right back to where we started, with a band-aid perk.

I agree with the sentiment but not the logic overall. First, a hex is dead when it is cleansed unless Undying is in play or it is Two Can Play. Boons can be constantly applied if the killer doesn't have Shattered Hope and the survivor with the perk is alive. That survivor can also put 4 perks on the one totem too. Because of that, we get to the second point in boons making noise. There are 4 survivors that can be looking for hexes and benefit from boons, only one killer to find the boon along with finding the survivors so of course they will make noise. Perhaps the noise could be lowered somewhat, but the progress being made if one survivor is being chased, two are on gens and one hex hunting is far better than a killer playing hide and seek with a boon while also managing four survivors and gens. Finally, at least three hexes off the top of my head have their auras revealed at certain distances (NOED, Plaything/FF and Pentimento) so they are not all completely hidden (Devour Hope on Swamp is evil though, had a game with it as Pinhead running Chatterer's Tooth and felt so bad for the survivors).
No arguments against why boons are used, entirely valid reasoning there so unless being in the boon gives you the effect until its used (Expo giving you a free recovery and Shadow Step being a mini distortion token) if killers get basekit Shattered Hope, boons should stay as they are until some good countermeasure is introduced to avoid slugging
