Steve Harrington's Original Scream, Please restore to 100% chance
I appreciate the steps taken in patch 9.4.2 to increase the frequency of Steve Harrington's original scream. However, I originally purchased that character because I loved his original scream and having that be just an easter egg is not very satisfying. I'd just like to leave this request here to voice my opinion that I'd like it restored to how it was before the stranger things chapter 2 patch where it was a 100% chance. Thanks.

We appreciate that players found the previous audio / vo iconic, with the addition voicelines it was no longer possible - we kept the original scare scream audio in the files as an easter egg of sorts but have increased the chance of it playing during the game. We are not going to move away from the latest voice lines however.

I wish they would connect it to some skin at least, so players have an option to use it.
I actually bought skin to match with new Robin, just to find out in first game they butchered his scream :(
So won't be playing that… Their 1 in 1000 won't really do that for me.

I suggest that the original scream be tied to using the Scene Partner perk. Because I doubt many people would be using it on Steve while not being for the purpose of the Steagull.

i dont think they can tie a spesific audio file to a perk for it to proc. Because that scream is considered a ''scared scream'' that would mean adding all of his old screams to that file therefore those audios would be heard when you get grabbed out of a locker, or scream by any means from a perk. The coding would be messy i am afraid

Shame. Over 10 000 people are dissapointed from it, which is massive number. Guess we just don't play Steve anymore, because it's no longer Steve we loved for 6 years.

Yup, if it is a requirement for the scream itself to still be in the game why can’t they just make it an absurdly low chance like the steagull scream was before this patch?
Baffles me that they further choose to remove stuff that the community vocally likes.

That Mandy confirms it won‘t be 100% is very disappointing. I‘m glad I didn‘t buy any skins for Steve prior to this patch. I would feel so scammed.

Maybe i'm in the minority who find the old scream very annoying. So grateful its gone and hope the keep the 10% chance (wish they removed it completely).

Can we know why? Most licensed characters in this game have a different VA for grunts and for voicelines.

Quite frankly, if they're going to change a key, iconic part of a character—which is the reason a lot of people purchased the character—they should have to offer refunds for the character if people want them, especially given that Steve is a licensed character, meaning actual money was involved rather than just in game currency.
