Why hasn't Stephen King's works been licensed yet for content?
The OG source of horror. The thought occurred to me after putting down one of his books (Holly). It's crazy there isn't a Derry/Pennywise DLC pack. Or something like from the Shining etc.
A lot of Stranger Things is completely sourced from Stephen King because it's just a huge homage to the 80's.
So can we get a Welcome to Derry DLC pack featuring Penny Wise with survivors like Georgie's Brother, etc ?

Id say its the fault of Stephen King himself.
Even Matt Cote said be wants Stephen King as a survivor since he always showed up in his own movies. But apparently Stephen doesn't want anything to do with video games.

Stephen King is very protective of his catalog. He has never really stated that much about video games but he has made references like being lucky to be part of the last generation to grow up without brain rotting entertainment being on tap all the time. Most likely referring to video games or the current on demand video services. He is very book orientated person and no real surprise as he is well established writer. He also has had some trouble with movie studios using his properties way he himself did not like so I can understand his reluctance to licence his works.
