So, could we get an official update on earlier discussed topics?
These are all topics from the July 2025 AMA from 8 months ago. From plans to internal discussions to updates with no ETA. Even the minimum of updates to these topics would be appreciated, like just saying that the offering updates is now in development and not on an internal discussion.

An eta would be awesome. It has been almost 8 months or more, and I don’t think any of these things have come to fruition yet.
Hopefully soon.

I don't have a lot of specifics or ETAs to share with you, which I can understand is disappointing. Your curiosity and questions are always appreciated, and as soon as there is anything to share, we want you to be in the know!
-16 -
Decrease the bloodweb bload would be amazing for the future anniversary.
I hope this happens
7 -
This is something I hope for for years. You can scrap so many Bloodweb Items by removing Offerings (especially Map Offerings, they 100% need to go) and combininig Survivor Add Ons.
But sadly it only got more over time.
7 -
Yeah, 3 different flashlight batteries and 5 different charge addons for med-kit doesn't feel good

Translation: They're not happening until they do.
11 -
I can appreciate why it reads that way, but I also have a duty to manage expectations as things are worked on. I don't want to deliver hope and then take it back a month from now. Timelines can shift, and right now there isn't any specifics to share.
-6 -
I don't see how that refutes my point at all. If things are said and then never addressed again, and when asked about it we're told there aren't "any specifics", then is it not literally that it won't happen until it does? This has been the model for years now. It's nothing new.
10 -
I'm not refuting, I just don't think it's a wholly accurate translation. I appreciate the opportunity to give clarity on my intention. ❤️
-10 -
okay so i don't normally go out of my way to do this, but this was such an eyebrow raiser and i had to respond.
was it necessary to respond with such sarcasm? i understand if a user may have been pedantic, but this doesn't feel like a professional-level response from a staff member.
all i'm saying is you didn't have to do that to unicorn, man. there was a much better way to respond to that.

Noooo, my forum tone! I promise I wasn't being sarcastic! <3

This is sounding like the typical 3 to 5 business year goal.

I’m just genuinely confused. Whole heartedly. I mean no malice behind this, I just don’t get how after 8 months we have no news on any of these topics discussed back in July. After 8 months? Genuinely nothing, not an ounce of anything? It just doesn’t seem possible and that’s probably why the community feels the way they do.
BHVR has broken trust with the community one too many times and has made little effort to repair….well any of it. Here’s an off the wall example.“Hey guys we hear you, genuinely! We are always listening that’s why we are listening to your feedback regarding blight”
Right. I get that..I respect that, but it’s been 6 long years that feedback has fallen on what it felt like deaf ears 👂 until recently when BHVR said oh no we heard you.
I can say with certainty that most of us truly don’t feel heard nor appreciated on these forums. A lot of this is due to the broken trust. Why can’t/wont BHVR make effort to repair that? Care about us enough to fix it? We are here because we care. We just want to feel the same way back. ❤️
I don’t feel like it’s asking for much.
10 -
i understand you may have not been, but it can read that way. unfortunately some of us are being driven to assume otherwise due to how things have been going lately on the forums, including myself. that's why you were being questioned.
3 -
Please feel free to call out if my tone feels off, I don't want to leave you with that impression at all.
-2 -
I guess my response gets ignored… 🙁

Not ignoring, promise! That one is just taking me longer.
-3 -
understood. let's collaborate to make the forum a more welcoming place together o7

Fair enough <3

Just chiming in to add my vote for a potential bloodweb rework in the (hopefully near) future.
The bloodpoint caps for each of the 4 categories being increased from 8K to 10K and prices of everything in the bloodweb being slashed a while back was great and went a decent way to making bloodpoint gains feel improved outside of events. However, several other things have happened since those changes which have only made the problem worse again. I'll be speaking mainly from a survivor perspective, but some of these points definitely apply to killer as well.
Off the top of my head:
- Map offerings being made essentially useless. I understand why this was done. One side would often give themselves a big advantage by sending everyone to a map/realm that's either severely killer-sided or severely survivor-sided. Still, map offerings are now just more clutter that basically no one ever brings into a match. I'm not suggesting they be buffed to their previous state but instead removed if at all possible. The only thing I can speculate that potentially prevents this is the current licensing agreements in place might stipulate that offerings for licensed maps/realms must remain.
- Bloody Party Streamers being so rare. This ties directly into map offerings. Because they share the same rarity as BPS, BPS will only get rarer as more maps are introduced and more map offerings come with them.
- The introduction of Fog Vials and the reworks to Keys and Maps. Fog Vials came with 3 new rarities of the same item and 5 new add-ons. The number of add-ons for Keys and Maps was reduced at the same time, which mitigated the additions somewhat, but the rarities of these items were also lowered, making them more common in the bloodweb and thus making more useful things rarer to spawn. This is a separate issue, but this also came with the downside of nerfing chest builds. I used to love running Ace in the Hole, Appraisal and Plunderer's Instinct and seeing what suped up Medkit or Toolbox I could scavenge from chests, but I often get Maps or Fog Vials instead now, so I've all but retired that build.
- All the other useless offerings. There are MANY in the bloodweb that I never see anyone bring—all but the highest rarity for individual-category bloodpoints; shroud offerings; fog offerings etc. are all pretty much useless and only exist as bloat.
- Event offerings outside of the anniversary all being personal. I don't feel like I need to explain this one.
- Anniversary offerings intentionally being made less common in the bloodweb. I also don't need to explain this.
All of this to say, I hope the devs take another look at the bloodweb sometime soon to address some of these issues. 80% of what players spend their bloodpoints on shouldn't be things they'll never want to use.

I'd honestly prefer if every now and then they just updated us on failed changes so people aren't just waiting and waiting. Or just a simple, "it's not a priority at this stage" instead of "we have some changes planned, keep an eye out 👀" then 2 years later we're all still keeping an eye out.
8 -
Exactly.
Or something to the effect of “We have had a change of plans.” Or “We still have plans for this”
Or “We haven't forgotten! Some things are better left as surprises”
However stuff we already have I don’t want as a surprise. Like tell me when trapper is getting reworked. Tell me when skull merchant is getting reworked. Tell me when certain characters are getting some buffs or qol. We have that content already. It shouldn’t be a waiting game.Post edited by MechWarrior3 on0 -
There is so many things we can do for the bloodweb.
- Decrease every item's addon to 5-7.
There is no reason we have 3 batteries, 2 grips (that no one uses), 3 lenses and 5 durations.
Same for med-kits - 5 charges, 3 speeds, 2 needles, 2 skill check zone addons - which are mostly not used. - We don't need 3 different offerings for single category bloodpoints - we got 4 categories. That's 12 offerings in total.
Just keep the highest one in game. - 6 luck offerings on survivor side… We never use them, just keep the Vigo's jar of salty lips in game.
- 2 chest offerings on each side - make it 1
- 4 fog addons… same as luck, keep just 1
- 4 hook distance offerings - keep 1 for each side
This would be a good start. There is no reason to decrease for so many items and offerings.
We use the same things anyway, we just change characters or keep getting the things we want.
4 - Decrease every item's addon to 5-7.

Really? I agree with the sentiment, that a lot of us feel very ignored in regard to suggestions and feedback for the game, as well as treatment here on the forums.
We are here because we care. Not because we want to he a nuisance.

I gave you the benefit of the doubt, but I genuinely do feel ignored now. I was trying to be respectful and kind. Everyone deserves that. What did I do to not receive the same sentiment from you?

To be honest, I don't blame BHVR for not wanting to make any concrete updates or promises these days. We had the tunnelling/slugging mitigations that never made it past the PTB and those fairly poorly received P100 "rewards".
If I were BHVR, I'd probably quietly work away on this stuff in the background and then drop it whenever it's ready as an unexpected surprise for the player base. I'm sure the underwhelming P100 badges would have been a lot more enthusiastically received if they hadn't been teased in advance. But as it happened, it raised the anticipation and a lot of players were disappointed (and maybe even a little bit insulted) by the bare minimum of effort that BHVR put into them.

Well said. I've been playing DBD since early 2019. There were only 2 times that Behavior actually listened to us:
- Auto-purchase on bloodweb (+levels and stuff);
- Nerfing Blight (and I'm not even sure if it's enough to stop him from getting 3k or 4k all the time, hence why Momo The 7th almost made to 2000 victories with Blight in a win streak… TWO THOUSAND MATCHES, GUYS).
I do not feel heard. I do not feel appreciated for walking alongside Behavior for 7 years, for spending my time typing suggestions, making ''wake up calls'', etc.
And lately, cheaters are running rampant. And what are they doing? I have no idea. 5 out of 10 matches I'm playing against cheaters. Killers that read my aura and find me in the most unsuspected places with self-preservation active on me. These days I faced a Nemesis that would have his zombies walk all the way from the shack to Thompson's house and stand right in front of the locker I was hiding in, with arms strecthed forward, like if it was about to catch me. I wasn't infected nor hurt. He was about to hook someone, but decided to ''mori'' that person. The zombie wouldn't let me leave and stood there.
If that's not cheating, I don't know what cheating is anymore.

I can appreciate that the wait has been frustrating; I do not have an answer yet.
-2 -
That is precisely the problem. The never-coming answers. And you know what infuriates us the most? When Behavior employees publicly say "we do listen to our community" shuckles. Maybe you do, maybe you don't, but it's you (Behavior) who decide when updates and stuff we've been begging for comes to the game (or not), and right now, we, as clients, as consumers of your product, feel like your focus is not where it trully matters.
The problem with cheaters is escalating… do you recall that live when Behavior told us about some things that would be coming to the game? Anti-tunnel, New Anti-cheat, etc? Where are those things? Seriously, I wish I was joking. This is the first time in my entire life I wish SO BAD I was joking, but unfortunately I am not. Unintentionally, that Yun Jin perk rework proved to be the biggest snitch of all times. I've been reporting those godamn epic games cheaters (not every epic games player, but always an epic games player) everyday, but the consensus among the community is that ''Behavior knows about them and couldn't care less, so why should I waste my time reporting them?". This is the point of mistrust that we have reached.
As a faithful community, we need to rebuild trust. We love the game, but we hate how important things and decisions take aeons to be made. We are loyal to DBD, but this relationship is quickly deteriorating. Are you guys going to save "this marriage" or let it sink?

I'm going to step in here and hopefully offer some clarity. First of all thank you for the questions and for the patience that you have shown.
When we responded to those questions and advised that they were things in discussion, often there are things that we would love to do, but they are considered to be a lower priority or affect other things and therefore the scope widens which then leaves bandwidth issues. The current situation as it stands that these things are not on our scheduling yet, which doesn't mean that we're not working on them or have changed our minds on things, just that priorities have changed and that likely these things are lower down the list of priorities - for the last question regarding new players, those are things that are done in small patches so for example, showing team mates perks, being able to hover over team mates perks and learn what they do in custom games (which is coming next release), the UI progress bar update etc - all those things contribute to the new player experience.
Tutorials are a massive one and we've had MANY conversations on how this should be done, its not easy - if it were we would have done it already! But for many different killers, its very difficult to do a Tutorial that encompasses all those things. Its impossible to create tutorials for every killer and have them in the build from a size perspective, imagine how big the downloads will be for one thing, plus there's the scoping of everything that has to be done for it.
We do not have infinite resources, there's only so much time in a day, there's only so much that can fit in the patch and the joys of a live game are that there is always something that pushes the priority of something else and it might be related to things that are upcoming so whilst you don't see the priority on something changing, you do not have the full picture on things:
The Production process on a game is not a simple one, there's many different developers of many different departments and they each have their own needs, that have to be juggled and prioritised, its not always just about design, and what our designers would like to change, but about what has to change because of some upcoming things. We plan very far ahead, so things we're talking about now internally, we're looking at 2028 / 2029 before those things will be implemented unless its considered urgent enough that it requires re-prioritising of something, which will then drop something else down the priority list.
TLDR things are not forgotten about, but they might not have the same priorities or require more technical impacts than initially scoped for, which adjusts what we can do.

We understand and thank you for coming here to clarify things. Right now, after talking to some people around here, I think that our main concern is about cheaters. I did not know that there is this thing which has gone viral in EU and NA and turn killers into automated terminators. In SA, we're facing classic aura cheaters, superspeed cheaters, instadown-mapwide-cheaters, stuff like that. It's crazy. At least 5 out of 10 matches there is a Killer that "knows too much", even when we're using perks like Distortion, Self-preservation, Lightweight+Ghostnotes+Sprint+Self-preservation, etc.
We understand how hard it is to try and fit every need of the game in a tight schedule. It's not easy on you, specially when you're planning 2029 already, we get that, for sure.
But in our end, it's been really, really miserable, due to the ammount of cheaters. They're even able to snipe streamers and content creators just to stress those people. Is there any possibility of prioritizing anti-cheat measures asap? ;-/
I mean, we can wait, of course, but me and a lot of people can play 1, 2, 3 games per day until hit by the realization that cheaters are growing like fungus and then go play something else, but we do love dead by daylight and we wanna play dead by daylight… it's just that, at the end of the day, we feel like we're there, playing, just to make someone (that's decided we are sc__ and therefore deserve all the worst) happy, satisfied, with the feeling that a vendetta has been accomplished.
