We need to be able to change killer after readying up.
Readying in a killer lobby and waiting to go to the next lobby. Why are we unable to change killer? Even after coming to the pre game lobby. We are unable to change killer.
Before, we could change killer after readying up at any time. No problems. We need this back asap! This irretates me a lot tbh. Plus we could switch from killer lobby to survivor lobby by 1 button on the left menu. We need this back too! Back in the day were so much easier and free.
Sometimes I wanna change killer after readying up and coming to the lobby. Sometimes survivors makes me wanna change killer because of their names. "Mori me wesker" this is a direct challenge I wanna do! And so do you too right!? I loved this.
We need this feature back!

honestly, that would be amazing, especially when queue times are super long

Yeeees!
We can change killer, but it dosen't change the killer we ready'ed up as.
When I see 4 toolboxes/flashies, I would love to be a killer I am used to play as. Whenever I try a different killer to test their powers xD

Each killer (supposedly?) has its own MMR. If you change killer, it "could" no longer match with the other survivors and it "should" reset the entire search.
And since you don't want that, this is the next best thing.

That sounds stupid to have that on killers. We do not need that on the killers. The mmr can be on our accounts instead.
I really miss switching killer. Everything is programming and coding, it can work again!๐

Not until the killer is unable to see the lobby because I do not want killers quick switching in lobbies to gain advantages
4 med kits "I'm gonna switch to plague for the advantage"7 -
That isn't an advantige if you know how to play against her.
Force her power, stun her hopefully, and repeat.
U can easily heal going against her with the pools.
Not cleansing against her works if all survivors know how to loop and keep distance.
I am for switching killers while in lobby with survivors. We had it a while back, and we need it back

no it takes the med kits out of play which is a advantage if you loaded in as a wraith for example the decide to switch. regardless of how the survivors play during the match. the killer has gotten a advantage due to be able to switch with all the info they get in pre lobby.
It was probably removed due to people doing this. but would be fine with it if killers got no info on survivors in the lobby.3 -
Do you know how much advantige survivors have? They can change character and items last minute. Killers should be able to do the same!
Btw there is no advantige switching killers. Other than trying a killer you wanna train vs a killer you main. That is the biggest difference.

The survivors cant quick switch based on any information they have on the killer, meanwhile this change would allow killers to quick switch based on information they see in the pre game lobby.
Just to be clear that is a advantage, I gave the example of switching to plague when you see 4 med kits. regardless of how you play against plague in that match, they had a advantage just by loading into the pre game lobby and being able to switch killers based on the items they saw their opponents had.
That's why my stance is It would be ok too add, if killers had same information on the survivors as survivors do on the killer (aka no info on opponents)1 -
There are survivors who bait lightborn by bringing 4 flashlights in the match and changing last second.
But if there shouldn't be any information for the killer side. Why do the killer lurk from a distance looking at the survivors by the bonefire. It is supposed to give killers an advantige anyway.
It is okay we can agree to disagree. The Dev or community manager may never see this post or our comments anyway. But thanks for your opinions, even if you didn't agree.
Have a nice next game whatever you play ๐

It actually is kinda, even as killer you always have a baseline mmr. The killer with the highest mmr minus a certain value sets the baseline for your other killers, that means you will never have a really huge difference between a new killer and older killers.
That being said it's probably noticeable enough to be a reason not to activate switching killers again because they search in a range.
Let's say you have 1800 (searching with a range of 1600-2000) mmr points with nurse and your baseline is her mmr minus 200 points. That would mean that doctor would maybe have 1600 mmr searching with a range of 1400-1800. That again would mean you could get 4 survivors with a mmr of 1400 with doctor, switch to nurse and boom you doubled the maximum range under her real mmr.
(Keep in mind that those numbers are completely made up for my example becaue bhvr doesn't tell us anything really about the matchmaking, the general concept should be correct like this.)

The reasoning that Killers cannot be switched in the lobby is due to MMR. Whilst even if you're top MMR on one killer, other killers will be at the lower level if you've not played them so much - so yes there can be quite a big difference in the numbers. Whilst the number doesn't go back to that of a new player, it can still be substantially lower.
So for that reason alone, the feature will not return.

If you fall for a lightborn bait, that's completely on you. You know how that would be preventable? By removing items from the lobby.
If killers are supposed to give an advantage by lurking, then survivors should be able to hear their sounds if they listen closely enough, right? Same logic. Yet survivors dont, so they dont change their loadout to face a specific killer. Its a little bit odd that you can change your build to face a specific survivor loadout, isnt it?0 -
Oh, but before this happened, I remember we could switch killers in the lobby with survivors. How did the MMR work then? And why did you guys change it to be their own MMR on different killers, rather than the player have their own MMR that isn't stuck on the character they play?
Thank you for for answeringโค๏ธ

I don't use lightborn anyway, it was just a thing I see, and I do as a survivor last second.
But it isn't 50/50 if the killer has an advantige by lurking in the shadows.
Thank you for your input.
