How/why are so many players able to cheat w/out getting banned or caught?
As a killer main - I do not often encounter situations where I can definitively say someone is cheating, but there is the rare circumstance where at least some form of cheating is overwhelmingly apparent (being faster than the killer in extended chases when I have 3 stacks of PWYF + bloodlust 2), survivors not taking dmg (you hit them + get the audio to confirm a slash, but they do not take dmg), unhooking themselves at 2nd hook when they did not run any perks for it + I left them on hook and was not anywhere near enough to give them the ability to unhook themselves, generators being auto repaired (going from 0 to 100 in like 3 seconds), etc. How is the anti cheat either not catching this????
I am sure ofc there are cheating killers out there but when I do play survivor I am rarely ever suspect of a cheating killer, and when I am; I often see that they had perks to enable what they did.

The anticheat is notably pretty bad, it mainly relys on reports from my experience and even then it takes a week for them to even be banned. Even then people don't get banned mid game anymore.

I would say in maybe 1 of 7 games I suspect a cheater so this is not a *common occurrence but it is common enough to warrant questions about how effective the anti cheat is. I am sure that I am mis-diagnosing some allegations whilst at the same time missing other legitimate cheaters.

I've been playing for years, majority of times if you think someone is cheating, they likely aren't. However you can test this by chasing the "cheater" and another other survivor tower in the same area to see if one is slightly faster than the other. If you report them, they will eventually get banned (if they were a cheater) and you'll be notified if they were hit with the ban hammer.
Also 1 in 7 games is simply WAY too much you are likely just going against a really good player.

the 1 in 7 was merely an estimate - like I said I am sure I misdiagnose some cases and fail to recognize cheating in others - but that does not answer my core question about how ppl can blatantly cheat (when it does happen) and get away with it. For reference- where I mentioned the 3 stacks of pwf (15% haste) + the 2 stacks of blood lust (10% haste). How does one run in a mostly straight line, outrun me w/out using vaults, pallets, etc and have the anticheat not immediately see that as cheating? Yes they did use sprint burst but everytime I would get relatively close, they would suddenly get insanely quick again

It's blatant cheating and with all the buffs survivors have gotten you'd think they'd ease off, I remember one game where a survivor said of course we're cheating that's bhvr's fault for making killers too op, dozens of killer nerfs and hundreds of survivor buffs later and guess what, the game is unfun for killers, boring for survivors and the cheaters are still cheating, who could've guessed?

I actually play on PS servers only and I have more issues with my internet while playing than cheaters 😅
