High MMR has been unplayable since around the time the Knight was released, there is no real surge of hackers, they have always been here, you just don't hear about them anymore because content creators are highly unlikely to go up against them with their unique matchmaking algorithm.
-
This was partially the reason why a few months ago I recorded all my stats for 100 SoloQ matches. In my experience 47 matches involved the killer tunneling out the very first survivor that they hooked completely ignoring everyone else, 15 tunneled at some point prior to the endgame and only 38 out of 100 matches didn't…
-
Mostly by not. Whatever MMR loosening they did in March to help with que times completely killed what little accuracy SBMM still had. I haven't had a single match in two months that I would classify was as balanced. 15-20 games where everyone is dead by the time 2 gens are left, then one trial with a killer who gets 2…

I've been online since 1996 dial up modem times. I have never seen a single internet community this dedicated to gaslighting. That's all I can say.
-
Happy to hear that Twins won't be the next Skull Merchant. DS animation removal is fantastic. UW is still going to be incredibly annoying to play against, I'm hoping all the content creators dunk on it and people will not equip it due to herd mentality.
-
Oh how delightful! BHVR accidentally manages to pull off a W, but everyone is in an uproar that now they can't troll other people and it gets reverted. I love this community so much.
-
There was a cheater boom around the time Knight was introduced, it has been steady ever since.
-
Not really. I'm having a strange time with Huntress, but with every other killer auto aim feels the same as it has been for a few months now.
-
I was hating on Billy way before they overbuffed him and I'm happily hating on Uknown since he was released.
-
Oh, it's so much more worse than that. The playerbase has been constantly decreasing since SBMM was introduced and it seems that we have hit a critical point. Around 15th of March, the previous matchmaking range was loosened, now allowing all those max MMR monster Blights and Nurses to have EVEN easier games than before…
-
My only hope is that "fixing" the hitboxes mean that they messed them up even more, so Blight will be killswitched after the update for a little while and the game will be slightly less unfun for people.
-
While this does sound promising, I'm still not sure if they won't take it back when Killer mains start crying rivers upon rivers that the game became slightly more mentally taxing than just tunneling the first survivor out at 5 gens remaining.
-
Almost like despite the constant screaming of "BuT BoTh SiDeS!" is clearly a distraction from one side receiving substantially more attention than the other. No points for guessing which one of course =)
-
Different people in charge of development.
-
My thoughts on this event is: just give us the 2vs8 gamemode already instead of the same recycled and redressed content.
-
A huge portion of those are cheaters crashing the server. I haven't been DDOSed since the end of august last year. I have however, encountered the same "issue" that you have mentioned and funnily enough, every single one of those happened when I was playing killer and when I had the upper hand. Not one instance of a…
-
Okay, so we have: Increased generator repair time Nerfed healing VASTLY buffed tunneling General buffs such as faster kick and swing cooldown Gutted survivor perks Broken killer perks Broken killers getting buffed Maps with built in dead zones Yeah, so hard to play killer these days.
-
I still wiggle just in case the killer is taking me to a more distant Scourge hook and either doesn't make it or someone takes a hit for me. Sure, both of those options are rare, but if I don't wiggle and someone comes in for a block that might lead to a snowball effect. Always wiggle even if the situation doesn't seem to…

No, the REAL problem for SoloQ is threefold. 1) The developers refuse to meaningfully balance the game. Whether it's the discrepancy between killer lethality or map design, there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason behind the decisions that they make, resulting in a playing field that is heavily skewed towards one side…
-
Absolutely not. It's still dog against Nurse and Blight, but there are a lot of weaker killers against whom it can be the difference between 4k and 4E. It's an absolute travesty that not every single lobby has every single survivor run DS+OTR+SB. I genuinely don't understand why the community loves throwing games so much.…
-
I mean they nerfed DS and designated OTR as the "anti-tunneling" perk after saying they wanted to make it so that killers felt less inclined to tunnel so...
-
This is also the reason why the stats released by BHVR recently is completely irrelevant to any sort of balance discussion. What does high MMR escape rate even mean? Everyone is high MMR? At least one person is?
-
The funny thing is that BHVR adamantly refuses to just revert a bad change. So the DS rework is going to be add some sort of twist to the perk, that is 90% guaranteed to make tunneling EASIER rather than harder. 10% chance the perk is going to be absolutely broken.
-
Basekit Kindred See the loadout of other survivors in the lobby Fix matchmaking 9 out of 10 times SoloQ woes is literally skill issue, people playing with folks who are just significantly less skilled than the team/killer. It's just dead in the water sadly, either SWF up or accept that DBD is a horror roulette game.
-
First original Killer I won't be buying. Feels just as bad to play as Singularity and his perks are dog, so there's literally zero incentive to buy/play him. Hoping he won't be popular, not really interested in playing against yet another killer that is only countered by holding W into the most isolated corner of the map…
-
While it is definitely true that people got tired of the game in general, one aspect that gets overlooked is that back in the old days much of the content was about dunking on players who were significantly less skilled than whoever was recording. With SBMM it became harder to pull off the 10 360 spins in a row type of…
-
My daily today was repair 3 generators. I looked at the survival roster to see who felt like playing as today. Ended up rerolling the daily instead and I usually power through not to get too rusty. But man, SoloQ right now is just abhorrent.
-
Oh wow, they made it ever so slightly harder to abuse her gameplay to guarantee at least one free kill while buffing her chase power, though not to an extent where they probably should have. Those pesky devs and their refusal to remove as much skill expression from this game as possible! At this rate killers will never get…
-
I would be very surprised if she didn't break the Top 5, potentially second or third place. But Feng has some serious advantages that I don't think she can overcome. If she came out at the same time as Feng with good perks, she could have, but not today.
-
The only time I play my P100 Meg is when everyone else in the lobby is a P100. None of my other survivors are anywhere near above 15-20 so I can't say what my experience with killers is. As far as playing killer, if I'm trying to pip in Iri rank so I'm scraping the battle of the barrel for any residual advantage, I usually…
-
I'm genuinely amazed it took them this long, but I'm expecting her to be the second most popular survivor behind Feng. I'm certainly maining her for the foreseeable future.
-
Except it's not, since those "statistics" don't even take into account matches where somebody DCs, so like 10%+ of all matches played are not counted for the stats. Usually, those are much more likely to end up with a loss, so the real survival rate is like -10%+ to whatever BHVR has thrown out to defend themselves from…
-
Depends on the survivors and the killer that you are playing. Nurse on Wrecker's Yard? Yeah, completely doable. Pig on Garden of Pain against a SWF with 4 BNPs, SBs and Adrenalines? Not happening.
-
Not really, just imagine how much more oppressive the super strong killers like Nurse or Blight would be if they could stack 5 slowdown perks. For some of the weaker killers or casual sessions it would be neat, but BHVR can't balance what's already in the game, so it's better if they don't touch that Pandora's box.
-
No, what you are experiencing is perfectly normal and par course for SBMM. There are 1-2 week periods where all your matches are going to be absolute sweatfests and then they are going to go back to normal from one day to the next. Been dealing with this since SBMM was introduced. My best advice is to take 1-3 days of…
-
So, one of the most obnoxious and unhealthiest killers is getting nerfed? I would say rare BHVR double you, but after all the salt they are going to buff her condemned back to the point that people will DC against her more often than SM, so that's a wash. And I see STBFL is getting buffed to its tunneling potential.…
-
12 matches last week, 10 had cheaters. Things have been going downhwill around the time that Knight dropped, but it's been super bad in the last few weeks.
-
Learn mindgames, your favorite killers' powers and improve your macro. There are Wraiths out there who win the overwhelming majority of their matches, nobody has any excuse.
-
She is literally the same as she was before. Just go next, luckily not THAT many people play her. And your teammates are far less likely to hold you hostage against her.
-
Nurse and Blight. I'm at best okay with them, so it's not by any means a guaranteed 4k, unlike 9 out of 10 matches I have the misfortune to go up against them.
-
You can have all my Blights and Chuckies for some Wraiths please.
-
Despite what this forum would have you believe, not all of your killers matches, in fact the vast majority of your matches, aren't against a 4 men SWF with 4 BNPs and Garden of Joy offerings communicating like it's a tournament.
-
What do you expect them to say? The situation is that there is literally zero incentive for BHVR to actually do something worthwhile and not just ban the same 10k people that will have a new cheat and spoofed hardware address 2-3 hours after they have been banned in the quarterly wave they love to bring up so often. The…
-
Here's a neat little secret that will save you a lot of time. Every single time BHVR declared that they want to change something, just immediately assume that whatever change they implement to achieve their goal, is going to end up causing the exact opposite of the stated objective.
-
It literally cannot be any worse than it is now. "But comp players will play against casuals!" Oh, you mean the same exact thing as right now except there's a DC penalty? Oh wow, the horror! There's literally not a single argument left against separate gamemodes. People are starting to wake up to the fact that getting…
-
I'm pretty sure his pickrate doesn't justify sinking time and effort into him.
-
When is this magical thinking of solving complex problems with a simple "solution" mentality going to stop being so prevalent? Okay, lets say that prestige gets hidden from tomorrow. What do you think is going to happen? Killers will just shrug and play like everyone had zero prestige levels? Of course not! They will look…
-
Bubba, Pig (unless they tunnel the first RBT-ed survivor), Legion, Doctor, Huntress, Freddy. Everyone else is either merely tolerable (Oni, Demo, Shape) or makes me wish the DC penalty finally got removed (SM, Nurse, Blight).
-
No, that was just a salty killer handling the situation in one of the worst possible ways.
-
That's not the real, underlying issue. Xenomorph for example was a really botched license, the killer feels very unsatisfying to play as most of the time and playing against it also a really meh experience. Getting an Alan Wake 2 license was actually a really smart move on BHVR's part with the success of the franchise. The…
